Not a teacher! This is why it’s so important for teachers to be involved in the planning of their rooms and schools because architects have no clue what teachers actually need! I did a whole research project on the design of schools and classrooms when I did my credential program and it’s shocking how little districts consult teachers before building schools and renovating classrooms
Hey! Good job, but why not put that computer on the shelf behind you and make that your desk area? Put your Guided reading materials on the Black shelf. I hope you kept the Green cart too.I also dont like the library next to the door... lol. But looks nice.
Vashon L. Hill Jr. I thought about that! But I hate seeing cords. We’ll see! I also don’t love that the library is next to the door, but I’d rather have that then have tables over there. I loved the black shelves there, but I really like keeping my room open and not having tables in the middle of it. I’m weird haha.

Our district is running into a huge problem with classrooms not being adequate to follow the 6 foot guide line. Some schools are going from 24 desks per room to only fitting 14-16 with no other open space for the remaining children. There’s even been talk of converting the back gym into a classroom. Also our kids have a choice of online however the jobs are not going to current teachers they are being outsourced to other states! It’s crazy
Your room looks so great!! I feel you on the placement of technology stuff. At least your projector is mounted to the ceiling. Mine has to be on a table and it's hard keeping Kindergartener heads and hands out of the way. They are fascinated that they can see their hand/head shadows on the screen. Lol!! 😂
Karyn Packard you nailed it! Almost. I looked back at pictures on ig and noticed the two tractor seat ones were the other two. However, I am still missing one because I had one as my chair I did my read alouds on! I bet it’ll turn up though. Almost every teacher moved due to construction!

I would ask administration about the whole moving computer/document camera thing. My outlets are on an opposite wall making it where I too have to walk to my computer/document camera to use while teaching. Stupid. Mine's because we don't have any smartboard cords long enough to reach. The positive thing about facing the back of the student's heads is you can see if they are paying attention easier??? I love how much space you have by placing the tables around the perimeter of the classroom. Like and subscribe to my youtube channel for I'm brand new as well.

Kaylee B-S that is so crazy!! We also don’t have any desks at our school, everyone has tables! Idk what we would/will do!
Book bins can go on top of the plastic drawers that are in front of their tables.
And then if you run out of room put the other book bins on top of the cube shelf that isnt in front of the smart board.

Why don’t you keep the green cart to put you computer on by the kidney table? It would give you a bigger workspace.

How will you use the touch screen because the lead on your smartboard is for the touchscreen
