Geothermal loops are placed in the best location taking into consideration geology, structures, proximity to the physical plant & underground obstacles (cables, gas mains, etc). Once the technicians connect the loops to the heat exchanger, the landscape crew will come by and re-lay the paving stones. No one will even know the loops are there once they are finished.

@@75rdube That would explain the tubing BUT using the video as edited and uploaded, all they did was pusp open ended pipes down the drill hole. GT heating uses loops of pipe down one hole, passing through a buried loop and then continuing back to the surface to pass through one way valves and pumps to circulate the water. I was thinking that another explanation might be that the pipes run down the drill hole MIGHT be water well uptake pipes for several different residences. The smaller pipe could be a bypass pipe to return water to the well.
