This is to make sure the tenant is living at the property and not using the property for illegal acts most of the time. I would also advice tenants to take as many photos of the condition of the property, furniture and appliances provided by the landlord at start of tenancy. This may become the proof if challenged at end of tenancy😉
I perceive that English landlords are quite money-minded in general, the deposit protection scheme helps. There is also a lease option which is quite common in EU as to allow tenant committing himself/herself to the purchase of the property with priorities accorded but no obligation to do so, the tenant can also rent the spare rooms out for a side income just the tenant has to bear all consequences for any damage identified at the end of the tenancy agreement. Not sure if it is common in the UK, probably welcomed in rural areas only.

在英國做嘢最緊要做好自己的記錄,做得齊,業主想唔比番按金比你都唔得。至於業主定期入去看屋都是因為十幾年前,有很多人利用一些租回來的房間用來作一些非法行為,包括收藏人蛇,種大麻,租上租,制造炸彈等等,租客和業主其實好多時都因為要保障自己而對立的。有些業主自己不在國內,自然會和官理公司有合約,由他們去處理修理事宜,他們幹任何事都要加上他們的手續費,而手續是管理公司的費用通常都係比較不合理的。

韓國租屋都係,業主幾時都可以帶人上黎睇房(1小時通知,你唔係屋企真係夠膽直接問你拎密碼入房,叫你之後自己改番密碼,唔比佢同佢企硬又話你'當佢係賊咩'),按金都係預左比佢扣一半,好睇房東人品。以前係澳洲住過一排,無歧視的意思但印度人真係呢.........盡可能唔好同佢地有利益糾紛(佢地真係算死草又大聲)
其實呢個做法係非常之唔適合,因為如果我本身唔係屋企而你又夾硬一定要大人上嚟睇樓,咁如果我唔見咗野我搵邊個投訴呢?所以當時我都非常之唔滿意
個人品格修養問題,真是好睇彩數,好業主好鄰居真是關鍵

@@Zonjai 不同意道歉,你說的是阿差並不是直接指南亞裔香港人,南亞裔香港人也就是香港人不是阿差。南亞裔人的族群在香港的犯罪率非常高,最常見莫過於不遵守交通規則,破壞社會秩序,當然需要提醒聽眾注意,這是只是自我保護,沒有歧視成份,不應只為一兩個玻璃心放棄其餘廣大聽眾的利益
歸根究底, 不同國家就有不同租約條例! 去得英國你就要硬食, 無可奈何! 所以我奉勸想去英國生活的人要三思, 不要衝動, 經濟上不能預算太緊, 最基本要有錢去英國買屋安身, 那怕是一百幾十萬的排屋都好! 況且如果找不到工作, 個個月要交租, 那種 "人在異地" 的心裡壓力和恐懼真是很大. 有自己的屋子起碼內心會比較有安全感, 總比租屋月月交租, 錢有去無回頭實際得多! 所以去英國前的經濟預算請慎重其事, 不能操之過急, 不要等到踏人英國才後悔! 非常感謝鬆仔的忠告!

@@Zonjai 原來大家都試過學生時期俾人呃 deposit 🙈就係火都黎。最嬲係執到間屋好靚,好乾淨。交屋嘅時候都話有好多問題。住緊嗰陣時,中途無啦啦又安排個鐘點過嚟執屋清潔,仲要係我deposit 扣😑
最慘係佢清得乾淨都還可以,但係黎完等如冇嚟過一樣,我仲執得乾淨過佢。投訴都冇用。
