Now I am 71 yrs old and can follow you so easy. Even your voice is so gentle and I see your fingers perfectly. I must now order your book. I will follow you because you are a good instructor.

I also want to get one so i can start practicing. i'm wondering between a digital piano and a keyborad, which one do you think i should get. and are they similar to a real accoustic piano. i really want to be able to play some good songs in public pianos. do you think once i master the digital piano the real accoustic ones becomes easy or i have to get used to them. Thank you

@@ayoubmouzoun5758 a good digital piano will sound and play almost exactly like an acoustic. I'd stay away from keyboards. I got an ancient Technics, found it used for a good price. In your case, I'd recommend getting a Yamaha.

You are the GREATEST...!!! I am 62 and have an old upright. She needs tuning but has that beautiful deep sound. I took piano lessons like a hundred yrs. ago...Well not quite, but seems so. But I never really learned to read music. Yea, a little bit, like the songs she was teaching me, but that was it. The thing I loved the most was the boogie woogies. I only remember just a little lick. but today you showed me SOO MUCH in just a short time. You have a way of explaining so as not to intimidate a person. And that's SUPER DUPER.. !! Plus you have a sense of humor and a playfulness like personality, that makes it a pleasure to learn from you. My beauty secret is fun and playful like in everything I do. If you can't have fun while working, or in this case learning than I feel you aren't living life to its fullest. Don't get me wrong, not to confuse fun, and playful with ( as my mother would have called it ) monkey-shining, but enjoying what you're doing. So I once again Thank-You from the bottom of my heart for sharing your knowledge with me. And I look forward to more of your videos........Norma....P.S. Yes you can teach an ole' dog new tricks Uhh..Err....An ole' Cougar that is....LOL...

Got three tunes going, at least I know what they are and my cat hasn't complained yet. I first learnt La Donna e Mobile (easy version) one hand then the other and surprisingly they both came together fairly easily, slowly at first then a bit faster. Can't teach old dogs new tricks? Don't believe it.

Love this Terry. I've been playing piano and teaching for over 20 years, and I never really did figure out how to do boogie piano. It's so simple once you get the hang of it. I can simply practice the left hand part over and over again, until I can play both hands simultaneously in tons of different patterns. I've been pretty good at blues, using a tonic and fifth, sixth, then minor 7th in the left hand, but this is the first time I've actually played a tonic and fifth together, then with the minor 3rd to the major 3rd. Thank you for expanding my piano vocabulary. Just won yourself a new subscriber.

But they have never really made it so clear and understanding . Perhaps it is just me . But thank my good Lord watching you and the way you go about your instructions . If I had a piano or keyboard . I know with out any doubt . I could practice and learn to play . I'm in my 60's on a lower than poverty income and disabled and have more than my share of arthritis . But I'm not stingy I'm willing to give it to anybody that wants it lol . I plan on figuring out how to get a keyboard ,continue watching and learning from you . Even if I have to make one out of cardboard to practice , which actually fits my budget . Thank you so much .

That was an excellent tutorial! You are a patient and gifted teacher. I have a piano that is a player and can also be played like a regular piano. I played the trumpet a bit in HS and learned to read music to a degree. I’m not able to read pianomusic, but l can memorize right hand, left hand, together, very slowly at first-similar to how you do it. Unfortunately, my piano has fallen into disrepair. Perhaps this is the push l need to get it fixed. Soon as l find a person/place that can restore the player mechanism, l’m going to take the leap. I love ragtime, boogie and stride. Stride, in particular, seems quite difficult. I would love to learn how to play it. It would be wonderful if you could simplify a stride piece the same way you simplified the boogie piece. Many of your viewers are very happy and appreciative of this lesson. With your gift of teaching, l have no doubt you will be successful and experience many more positive replies as you have with this exceptional tutorial! Keep up the excellent work!

It is much better to play the actual music piece in the beginning of video so viewers know what are they going to learn. Good lesson though.
