It's to bad that beautiful movie ranch wasn't preserved as a park, as a tribute to all those wonderful people who worked there to enrich the lives of so many!! Thanks for the great video!!
I was just at upper Iverson the other day and even with all the condos it is still a great place. There are still a few areas that are in danger of being developed: the Lone Ranger cabin area and Zorro's cave
At 2:22, the clip is from the final scenes of Spoilers of the Plains with Roy Rogers. Note the guy who jumps from one wagon to the other but doesn't quite make it. It looks as though he is going to be sucked under the wheels. What happened was that stuntman David Shapre saw the guy coming and kicked back at him so that the wagon wheels wouldn't roll over him. You don't see this on film. Bill Witney told about this is his autobiography.
Jerry, you make some great videos. Thanks. I was out there this past summer and spent an afternoon on Iverson's. It was a great thrill, and I can't wait to go back when I can spend more time. Just hard to get there from GA.
If you are a Front Row Kid who knows his westerns, you should be able to pick out the various cowboy heroes: Ray Corrigan and John Wayne from the Mesquiteer series, followed by Zorro's Fighting Legion. Roy Rogers is shown in a color shot and black and white clips, and the Cisco Kid with Pancho is also shown.
