@@whywhy_11 That is the only thing that really separated it from all of the other mid-size crossover SUVs from that time and it was all anyone complained about at the time.
@@whywhy_11 Never owned one but I worked part time at a car dealership around when it came out. I drove them a couple of times and more importantly I saw the reactions of customers. It was an ok vehicle and you got used to it pretty quickly. The visibility was actually pretty good once you could ignore it, but it having something across their rear view mirror bothered people on test drives and many of them complained about it before buying something else. It was almost universally mentioned as the reason.
At the time it appeared, its design was something new, but over time, compared to modern cars, it began to seem very ugly, although as a car it is good.
The Covini, and the Bond Bug and the Aston Martin were all cool. The Audi was less than elegant, but not that bad. Cybertruck, Aztec, and Multipla were hideous!
Everyone has different preferences in cars, but these cars are considered the least beautiful in the opinion of the main part. But for every product there is a buyer)
The only problem with the Aztec was they put that decorative spoiler thing across the back window.

Maybe you are right, I have seen many good reviews about this car, but its whole problem is in the external video. Have you had such a car?

Bond Bugs weren't considered unstable.
