40 % percent of all the "CARS ' sold in Canada are Built in the US! NOT NOW! A BIG picture in contrast to Mexico, which has been growing its share of production. Mexico accounted for 25 per cent of vehicles built in North America last year and sold in the US, up from 10 per cent in 2000. While Canada’s share has fallen by 8.4 percent over the same period, now making up less than 10 per cent of all cars sold in the US. Canada wants the same as Mexico 25% or don't let the US sell cars in Canada. The End. We lost 500,000 good Manufacturing jobs to the US in the 80-90's. Trump did us a favor, it woke the country up! It will never be the same with the US! I just canceled a product order from LA and reordered from Ontario.

Fact of the matter is the damage is already done to the American economy. American goods have disappeared from Canadian store shelves and it is not coming back anytime soon. Plus Canadians will now work on a diversifying their exports and also formulate some longer term strategies to counter similar threats from the US.

The first few minutes of this broadcast are so uninformed. The announcer claims that each of Canada and Mexico agreed to station 10,000 of their troops on their border with the USA to curb border crossings and fentanyl. Canada made no such promise. Trump truly embarrassed himself and the USA today with his tariff threats against Canada. US Customs statistics show 20 kg of fentanyl being detected as crossing the border into the US annually … .02% of what comes in from Mexico. However the USA is the source of massive numbers of illegal weapons crossing the border from the US into Canada. Trump is such a bully, but he backs off when someone stands up to him. Bring it on if you insist. We will get hurt but so will the US. Canadians are not cowards like Trump and we are united. And the idea that we would join the USA? Are you kidding.

Canada agreed to add some helicopters and drones, along with some additional border agents, to the Canada Border Security agents we already have. Most of this was promised in November as we don’t want US drugs or illegal guns and weapons coming into Canada either. That’s mutual. The helicopters and drones were also mentioned before. Only a smaller tweak was added on Feb 3.

China is in the game by offering to build ports on the Atlantic , Pacific, Arctic this will help Canada become great again
Hopping to keep Canadian tariffs on American goods funds to be used to rebuild Canadian manufacturing base and blunt America predatory practices let's all make Canada great again tariffs should be placed on all Brazilian and Mexican activities in Canada blocking imports that harm Canada's society

All trump ever wanted is to secure the border and negotiate an even better trade deal. This is the art of the deal at work. Seem unreasonable in your request shooting far higher than what you want (talk about annexing canada), use your leverage (tariffs), then settle for something far less (an immediate secure border, and a further improved trade deal).
