this song reminds me of someone that i was super close to. he wanted me to learn this song, so now every time i play this, i immediately think of him and how he changed my life.
@@Sabouma28 It's kinda like the, "I can play this so well, watch" and then, "I'm so clever, watch me slow it down" but then it all goes too slow for me. The energy is sort of lost
They are legends. Truly. Words can not describe my endless love for them. If you haven’t heard the rest of their music, please do so. You won’t regret it.
It's empty in the valley of your heart The sun, it rises slowly as you walk Away from all the fears and all the faults you've left behind The harvest left no food for you to eat You cannibal, you meat-eater, you see But I have seen the same I know the shame in your defeat I will hold on hope and I won't let you choke On the noose around your neck And I'll find strength in pain And I will change my ways I'll know my name as it's called again 'Cause I have other things to fill my time You take what is yours and I'll take mine Now let me at the truth, which will refresh my broken mind So tie me to a post and block my ears I can see widows and orphans through my tears I know my call despite my faults and despite my growing fears But I will hold on hope and I won't let you choke On the noose around your neck And I'll find strength in pain And I will change my ways I'll know my name as it's called again So come out of your cave walking on your hands And see the world hanging upside down You can understand dependence when you know the maker's heart So make your siren's call and sing all you want I will not hear what you have to say 'Cause I need freedom now and I need to know how To live my life as it's meant to be And I will hold on hope and I won't let you choke On the noose around your neck And I'll find strength in pain And I will change my ways I'll know my name as it's called again
I'm sorry to find their music has changed since their last album. They reached their absolute best in South Africa, their concerts...their spirits and energy were an absolute high Nothing like after that
Terrapin alive I was there in Pretoria. I like Delta more than Wilder Mind. Beloved and Wild Heart needed to happen. I like that they aren't a one trick pony. Just me.
I dont know for sure. But hes using a martin guitar (like always) and martins have that bright tone. But if you want a crisp, bright, louder, tone. I use Elixer nanowebs for mumford songs and it works out perfectly. If you like playing there fast songs use Mediums or heavy strings and for delta songs id use light strings
Oh and also, those elixer strings have a coating on them so they sound new for like 2 months and i play everyday. and that coating makes it easier to slide around the strings and if you dont like it when acoustics have that high pitch sound when you slide on the strings if you know what im talking about. Elixer strings prevent that.
I have been a big Mumford & sons fan but have felt that were losing it as the album Delta did absolutely nothing for me. I like that they attempt different things and head off the beaten track which they have done here. I was expecting this to be a poor version, like when an artist trys to do different things and claim they are being artistic or reinventing. Fortunately I think this is really good and like how a classic like The Cave has been played.
Look worn out of playing the same songs, doesn’t have the same feel to it. Reminds me oh how kings of Leon play their old songs, a bit lax and not enough tempo. Can’t blame them though
I had a friend who sang this on his uke to me. We lost touch. Henry, if you’re seeing this comment know this song always reminds me of you ☺️
Oh alright steph, been a while mate ahah
@@ghostlierExpert are you Henry
@@jelousmoth yea man
the guy from the thing 🥺🥺🤧 idk why i got so invested in this story
Hope you reacquaint again. If not, move on
Classic Mumford and Sons was incredible. Hope they find this same feeling again.
J couldn’t agree more
Agreed
they haven't lost any feeling. They just like to play different styles, there new album has songs like the cave on
They have...it's called music.
is this a diss at Delta? It's an awesome album. Multiple songs on it give me chills every time. It's not the same as Sigh No More, nor should it be.
I love the singing and the harmonies. 🎶🎷Great music and vocals.
Beautiful lyrics 🎧🎶💽📀🥁🎷wow🎸🎵🎻
This is the song that started my love for this band. Happy 10th anniversary to Sigh No More and hopefully more great music to come in the future.
This song and their first album holds so many memories for me over the last 10 years 💚
Insane that he is playing the drum with his foot, the guitar with is hands, and slaying the vocals. Badass.
He plays tambourine with the other foot too.
The violin's work so damn perfect when they finally come in
He has one of the best voice
Incredible voice

I love this version
Heart pounding version.... ❤
Really love it in this tempo
They brought back the banjo!🪕
Omg I forgot how much I love this song 😭😭😭😭 from like MTV
Heavenly music with the orchestra. The orchestra literally made this song even more divine than it was before! Great job guys!
OMG I adore this song
Is it me or can you tell they have played this song a million times? 😆
Kieron Smith and it’s still good
@@hellojonnyhoskinghello definitely!
yeah.... the start is way too fast.... shame....

Yeah kind of surprising. They dont typically play it like this in concert. Sounds like they were in a hurry
Love Mumford
This must have been an amazing experience for them to play with an orchestra. It’s a great song!

I will find strength in pain💕

mhhhh so beautiful
Beautiful 🎼❤️
thank you for your songs
It is so beautiful I cannot believe it!
That was beautiful especially those violins
This is art!!!
Always have amazed me
It's empty in the valley of your heart
The sun, it rises slowly as you walk
Away from all the fears and all the faults you've left behind
The harvest left no food for you to eat
You cannibal, you meat-eater, you see
But I have seen the same I know the shame in your defeat
I will hold on hope and I won't let you choke
On the noose around your neck
And I'll find strength in pain
And I will change my ways
I'll know my name as it's called again
'Cause I have other things to fill my time
You take what is yours and I'll take mine
Now let me at the truth, which will refresh my broken mind
So tie me to a post and block my ears
I can see widows and orphans through my tears
I know my call despite my faults and despite my growing fears
But I will hold on hope and I won't let you choke
On the noose around your neck
And I'll find strength in pain
And I will change my ways
I'll know my name as it's called again
So come out of your cave walking on your hands
And see the world hanging upside down
You can understand dependence when you know the maker's heart
So make your siren's call and sing all you want
I will not hear what you have to say
'Cause I need freedom now and I need to know how
To live my life as it's meant to be
And I will hold on hope and I won't let you choke
On the noose around your neck
And I'll find strength in pain
And I will change my ways
I'll know my name as it's called again
AMAZING 😁
So good
Great 👏👏👏👍👍👍
Wow!!!! "Hey !" this point in the song, very good...!!!!
Ho i brividi ♥️
My favourite song of theirs but hate the way it's super fast at the start then slower when they all kick in.
Amo muito!!!❤️ 🇧🇷 Brasil🙋

Aside from the bizarre tempo changes (is it deliberate?) this is amazing, as always!
Is this on Spotify 😍
ACIDXO the song is but not this exact version
They need to return to making music like this. Ditch the electric stuff and go back to their roots.

Sound pissed up.,
слабоват голос, похоже это какое-то кантри, но как то слышал живой кантри и все ок было. Тут голос слабый зря он все забил музыкой
zelensky?:)
Really a shame the band became so prejudice :(
They just look bored
Ho Hum.......Boring
Crowds pretty dead
They're enjoying the performance, you don't have to scream or jump up and down to enjoy a concert.
Have they really lost all sense of fucking tempo?
orchestra is amazing, the band is really bad here
