This is a lot of Toy History and Information packed into one small video. I would love to get even deeper into individual brands and toy history in the future. But I found it interesting how all toy ideas are slightly inspired by or have a connection to others. These are all just my opinions and the video was made very lightheartedly. because toys are not that serious its a hobby I do for fun. Very good video! Very knowledgeable, and you made very good arguments for so many different toy brands. I really hope Build-A-Bear doesn't get sued. I love that ypu talked about Cabbage, Patch Kids and Martha. It's nice to see a video where someone doesn't strongly take one person's side on that matter. Martha really is one of the most genius toy craters to ever live. I imagine so many awesome ideas would never have come to life if it wasn't for her.
@katie_and_her_dolls Thank you!!! 😊 🥰 I love martha and everything she gave to the toy community. She was truly a gift. I want to focus going forward on finding other toy creators who are making their own plush and custom dolls, etc. I want to add so many original creations to my collection 🥰🤩
Great video!! You brought up so many points that I’ve been thinking about too. All ideas are inspired by older ideas, no matter what the medium. In toys it seems to be very competitive though, especially recently!
I personally was surprised when Squishmallows made a Halloween squish that is basically identical to Squishable’s plague doctor plush.
I heard squishable even attempted to sue kellytoy but lost the legal battle because they’re a much smaller company!
I wonder if Kellytoy didn’t sue Ty over squish a boos because Ty is such a massively successful company with tons of money lol.

You are probably right about kellytoy not trying to sue ty because they think they would lose.
I think all of it is so interesting. And I love learning about things going on in the toy industry and where toy brands originated from. I can't wait to see where the whole lawsuit goes 🤣🤣 They plushie community is out of control lately. I honestly wish someone would come up with a whole brand new idea. I'll start working on it 😅😅😅😅

Squish dont make me think kawaii or japan wut 🙄 if anything they are the plush equivalent of funko pops, stylistically. The babs do look like squish but I dont think squish have the lock on that style as you've shown

You are so right they are like the plush equivalent to funko!!! ❤️🩷🥰 I do think that BAB is throwing a little shade with their recent ads that they've put up since the lawsuit started, it's kinda funny. I've been reading people's comments on the ads and everybody so mad at BAB. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
