I’ve been a Yang supporter for over a year. His candor and authenticity resonated with me from the first interview. He’s the first candidate that I’ve contributed to financially and I’ve been actively informing others about his campaign and platform, beyond UBI.
Every time I hear Andrew speak about his plans for this country im brought to tears, i have so much hope for this country to be better and he's the only one who can lead us in the right direction.

Age of automation is here and soon it will be in every corner of the world, in every sector of employment. We already have robots in operating theatres. One of the most demanding jobs for human is to practice as a doctor but there are emerging evidences that software can do equally better or superior job of it. And this is just the early stages. Imagine what the rest of the sectors face. But this is a great boon to civilization. The loss of jobs should be counter weighted by some form of credit system and that is where Freedom dividend or Universal basic income comes in. Yang sees this far far better than anyone running for presidency. The question for you is will you cling on to the past or will you embrace the future?

Really upsets me when these liberals get upset that everyone, including the rich, get ubi. These people are letting their thoughts of rich vs poor get in the way of the bigger picture. The reason everybody gets it, is because it makes it easier to administer, it shows that everybody is an equal share holder in America, and it prevents people from trying to game the system to get the dividend. Whether rich people get the dividend or not is immaterial from a financial standpoint, but does so much more from a moral standpoint of what the dividend stands for. Also, stop with the wealth tax push. It doesn’t work. Plenty of other countries have already proven this. A VAT tax is way better. Most people think a VAT is just a sales tax, but it is so much more. It also taxes the raw goods/services that go into the products. That way money is collected during the process, from the companies. It is basically a fee to take advantage of the USA market that companies benefit from, given back to the citizens. Unlike an income tax, companies won’t be able to loop hole their way around it. Finally, people do not like that you have to choose between welfare or the ubi. Stop that. This will encourage people to better their lives to a point they will no longer receive welfare knowing that they will then get to opt in to ubi. i.e. they never lose their support no matter how much money they make. If people received both ubi and welfare, people will do what they do now, having no incentive to make more money because they end up losing welfare.

Law never is implemented as it's touted on the campaign trail dude and to throw out UBI as a whole because you don't agree with a section of it that can be modified is ridiculous and sophomoric logic (nice teenager jab btw...). For instance, if you're fully disabled you should be able to receive both. Partially disabled with no other income? Gain the difference up to 12k/year. There's no reason to think it couldn't go into law like that. You're being intentionally obtuse instead because you don't agree with the concept of a UBI as a whole.
Tip for next time : GET A TRIPOD! and the scene is set on a stage - no need to pan back and forth and shake the camera - being stationary will help with the camera shake and distracting panning. most cameras come with image stability that you should turn on.

I was also a first time Parent - and struggled - and we got our son diagnosed... he has Aspergers. My family was one of the 80% that ended in divorce. I don't know if we had marriage counciling that we would still be married... but support for both parents was lacking then and are still lacking. So I commend Andrew Yang and his wife.
It baffles me how someone could compare an industrial revolution from 80 years ago to the modern age of Ai. "Machinery could and did take over much of the work that American people were doing......" Ai/robots is different. It's the brawn and the brains. Past revolutions always relied on people being the brains. It won't be long before robots can build more robots and program robots. The human interaction will continue to be less and less of what average people can do. It is easy to say that coal miners can learn to code, but any rational person knows that isn't realistic. This isn't something that can be left to after the fact solutions, especially when politicians haven't a clue about Ai/automation. Everything gets more difficult to solve, the more messed up society becomes.
Guy interviewing is (I'm asumming) a University professor but doesn't understand that UBI is more like a student loan / tax return than unemployment check. Its amazing what a few thousand extra dollars can do for the average person, in this day in age; Physically/Mentally/Emotionally.

Really upsets me when these liberals get upset that everyone, including the rich, get ubi. These people are letting their thoughts of rich vs poor get in the way of the bigger picture.
The reason everybody gets it, is because it makes it easier to administer, it shows that everybody is an equal share holder in America, and it prevents people from trying to game the system to get the dividend.
Whether rich people get the dividend or not is immaterial from a financial standpoint, but does so much more from a moral standpoint of what the dividend stands for.
Also, stop with the wealth tax push. It doesn’t work. Plenty of other countries have already proven this. A VAT tax is way better. Most people think a VAT is just a sales tax, but it is so much more. It also taxes the raw goods/services that go into the products. That way money is collected during the process, from the companies. It is basically a fee to take advantage of the USA market that companies benefit from, given back to the citizens.
Unlike an income tax, companies won’t be able to loop hole their way around it.
Finally, people do not like that you have to choose between welfare or the ubi. Stop that. This will encourage people to better their lives to a point they will no longer receive welfare knowing that they will then get to opt in to ubi. i.e. they never lose their support no matter how much money they make.
If people received both ubi and welfare, people will do what they do now, having no incentive to make more money because they end up losing welfare.

Law never is implemented as it's touted on the campaign trail dude and to throw out UBI as a whole because you don't agree with a section of it that can be modified is ridiculous and sophomoric logic (nice teenager jab btw...). For instance, if you're fully disabled you should be able to receive both. Partially disabled with no other income? Gain the difference up to 12k/year. There's no reason to think it couldn't go into law like that. You're being intentionally obtuse instead because you don't agree with the concept of a UBI as a whole.
Tip for next time : GET A TRIPOD! and the scene is set on a stage - no need to pan back and forth and shake the camera - being stationary will help with the camera shake and distracting panning. most cameras come with image stability that you should turn on.

I was also a first time Parent - and struggled - and we got our son diagnosed... he has Aspergers. My family was one of the 80% that ended in divorce. I don't know if we had marriage counciling that we would still be married... but support for both parents was lacking then and are still lacking. So I commend Andrew Yang and his wife.

It baffles me how someone could compare an industrial revolution from 80 years ago to the modern age of Ai. "Machinery could and did take over much of the work that American people were doing......" Ai/robots is different. It's the brawn and the brains. Past revolutions always relied on people being the brains. It won't be long before robots can build more robots and program robots. The human interaction will continue to be less and less of what average people can do. It is easy to say that coal miners can learn to code, but any rational person knows that isn't realistic. This isn't something that can be left to after the fact solutions, especially when politicians haven't a clue about Ai/automation. Everything gets more difficult to solve, the more messed up society becomes.
And I would argue that most of the legislators back then were more competent.
