Honestly my favourite Digimon vpets so far, they have most of the newer features I just can't live without like the freezer and quest modes, and now also a rechargeable battery and color screen. Been enjoying unlocking the backgrounds on each device too, it makes each run feel a little different. Only downsides are as you say, the high costs for what aren't super complicated devices, not even mentioning import fees, and that sucks, because otherwise I would be recommending them. Important to note the V3, 4 and 5 have additional QoL features over the V1 and 2, you can skip animations during training and battles and they let you unmute from the menu. ;)
After playing, I think it's pretty nice for beginners as it's basic but solid, roster is a bit lacking but also not overwhelming newcomers, QoL are really nice. Problem is being P-Bandai so they're rare and expensive af, but if they don't mind costing arms and legs then I'd recommend to try it. But if one can wait, Pendulum Color seems to be even better. Price not too far but has improved quite a bit so far, Album system is also back so it could motivate to try raise them all.
@@LostinTranslationmon If it'd have to cut down to 1 version, I think V3 is the best. It has 2 Jogress (tho has to connect with V4 & 5), has Chimeramon as 1 extra in roster more than other four, and has the easiest training (I guess? Never actually get my hands on yet but V1 is a pattern guessing game, V2/4/5 are basically the same and it's quite fast when reached Ultimate, V3 is a button mash game so it might be easier)
I was thinking of getting the Kuwagamon for myself, and the Ogremon for my girlfriend, because there are a couple we both liked on the respectives. Can't wait to watch this review!
After seeing the recent news about 25th color digivice, i was really tempted to get it. But after getting back into my dmx i realized i wanted a more v pet like experience, so i contemplated between the color and the dm20. Im leaning hesvily on the dm20 now since its about only 20usd where i live and the roster is huge
Wasn’t going to buy the Color, but then I saw that the Pendulum Color is a thing now, so I might just buy that because I never owned a Pendulum before.
I like the color because of the rechargeable battery, backlit color screen, and ability to change the background. I really liked the D-1 grand prix contest and was super disappointed that they didn't have that in other countries. I keep the background on my color as either file island or the D-1 Background but sometimes change based on my mood. I want to eventually get a pendulum color. Im not collecting all of yhem though. Im only collecting the specific ones with digimon i like. I'm only collecting all 6 DMX v-pets because they're my favorite and I love the lore. I only have one left to get. 🙂
.... I never even knew there was a settings function, let alone the option to lower the device volume. I'd gone half crazy trying to find anybody else on the internet suffering from the ear piercingly loud volume and I just couldn't find anything. The loudness of the device is probably the biggest reason why I've been letting mine collect dust because I'd find myself trapped in a cycle of muting them and missing their attention calls and consequently failing my evos. While the lowered device volume is still loud I can pretty confidently say that you've saved me from giving up on my DMCs 😭😭😭 Thanks for this video!!
The last of the video talking about price is agreeable. There is no reason this should be as cheap as a DM20 or X version. But i'd much more easily buy this for $50-55 unlike almost $100.
I love the DMC! If the DM20th changed puppetmon, YOU ARE NOT A KAIJU WHY ARE YOU ON THE V5 EGG, and had all routes be mega DM20th would win! Also I hope the DMC get more shells because MORE COLORS!
Thanks for the honest review! Was thinking of maybe getting one or two but the price is just too high. Instead I'll get a bunch of regular rerelease digivices to raise my digimon army! ❤❤❤
i bought all the digimon color versions but have only played with version 1 so far. Im pretty disapointed with it tbh. They are just kinda boring, theres just not much to do on them. They have really small rosters and the quest mode is really bad like it just feels like luck every battle. I have been having alot more fun with my DMX and DM 20th they are so much more fun imo i just hate that dark hard to see screen.
I mean, what do you expect from an original digimon reboot? It is exactly the same as the original release from the 90s, plus a few features. Hopefully the 30th anniversary will be a color version of the 20th or X
Why would they crack down on proxy lol they dun like money? Is not like in the 90s where all the kids got one and we can battle outside, now I just raise them like my baby lol
I don't enjoy these as much as the DMX or even the D20. Having a little more game to battling or a bigger roster would make them much, much better I feel. They feel kinda empty for me.

You can change the mute settings in settings on version 3-5
I think they're a great concept, but I struggle to get myself to use them. Can't figure out why

Yeah you're right - it's exceptionally beginner friendly in game play. However the price makes me really hesitant to recommend it to a beginner.

they are better in every way compared to this and have more features so yea

Compared to the Digimon 20th and pendulum 20th the roster is just too small
those are anniversary devices and are an exception, this is actually the norm
so to get Omegamon Alter S, do I need to get both the V1 and V2, and raise both together?
Yes, same with all (?) the jogresses on the DMC iirc.

They do look so cool! Price kept me away though 😢 I just gotta stick with the DM20th
I've probably had more fun from the DM20th anyway.
Perfect walkthrought,Lost in Traslationmon...i want buy one🤦🏻
do you think the pendulum colour is worth getting?
If the price isn't too much, yeah, my points here still apply.
Had to see the reviews buying the V5 😂
Why would they crack down on proxy lol they dun like money? Is not like in the 90s where all the kids got one and we can battle outside, now I just raise them like my baby lol
so all the language is in japanese? sad....
Digimon X color when?
2040
