Do you feel it's worth investing real life money into the game? Do you find value in any of these items?
For my personal opinion, I don't really see value in it, I see them as bonuses for supporting the people behind the game.
I felt highly pressured into raising my inventory 50 slots is not enough especially when you start gathering.
That's what material storage is good for. Auto puts materials into it without filling out your inventory. You can get it for Star Gems, which I earned through playing the story. The game doesn't really push inventory slot purchases in your face, though.
That is pretty much on point yeah. You also get Star Gems by logging in and, if you're feeling lucky, you can buy them from the casino with casino coins too. There is *a lot* of ways to earn Star Gems and inventory space, while certainly a help, isn't too much of a problem, even late game, as you do slowly hone in to a few items that you need.
Day 2 of playing and I dropped $30. I bought 50 inventory for my main, a second mag because I thought I had goofed, and 50 extra storage space. I could see myself dropping another 30, to max out active inventory.
Perhaps premium down the line if I keep playing. I love Phantasy Star and I am super happy pso2 is released here in NA (even if it is laggy), so supporting the devs is the least I can do.
Aesthetics is always a high priority when I'm playing games, so I'm always inclined to spend some here and there. Like someone else mentioned, it's great that the cosmetics are tradable making it obtainable for F2P players. I definitely agree with the sentiment that temporary storage increases suck big time--I'd much rather pay a slightly higher lump sum and get it unlocked forever.
I would love it if we had options to permanently unlock storage. Especially Material Storage.

Im just really glad that cosmetic items can be traded between players. Thats really awesome for me, as someone who cant afford to buy AC scratches and gamble. My character appearance is a high priority for me. I was able to secure a Avatat set day 1 and it alone has made the game 1000x more enjoyable for me. I do like the inventory space upgrades but I hate the idea of temporary storage :(
Temporary storage I'm not a fan of, but the Material Storage isa god send.

SG ticket
Yep, costs 300 Star Gems. I got that many by just going through the Story Missions. You get a 20 SG ticket every chapter completed.
Using SGs for the Mission pass gets you most of those back (typical of a battle pass) if you actually finish it

Anamana! Hey Anamana, I had a question if that’s alright? I can’t seem to make meseta in this game. I saw your meseta guide video but I play on NA and none of my daily or weekly missions give any meseta, just exp?
CucciGang As you level up, they will start to give big Meseta, especially weeklys. It’s just slow at the start. Having multiple characters at high levels will be great for Meseta Grinding.
Buying the mission pass gold ticket is actually really worth since you can have 200 star gems if you complete it to the last tier which means that you will get back what you invested in it but also a lot of cosmetics.
I played several hundred hours on the japanese PS4 version and therefore couldn't make use of the cash shop and I got by completely fine.
Once Microsoft is gonna release the english version for PS as well though I do plan on spending some money on it. I just really enjoy the grind in PSO2, compared to a lot of other f2p games, and I wouldn't mind supporting the game with a few bucks here and there. Just hope Microsoft is gonna come to an agreement for the english version for PS rather sooner than later. Still think Sony/Sega were stupid for not localizing it to the west to begin with. But I'm glad MS made a deal and since they already said they aren't opposed to letting Sony have the localized version as well I'm hopeful we might see a release this year.
Lots of people out here thinking they're pressured into making AC purchases, but the game definitely doesn't push that stuff in our faces. You're proof of that!
@@AnamanaCh well if you want more than 1 mag, and I'm sure most people will then we are kind of forced to make a couple of AC purchases. But a mag is something I don't mind spending money on because I actually feel like I get to keep it rather than I'm just renting it.
Just found this game a few days ago. I’m level 44 already haha a bit obsessed with it.
It's not that hard to lvl 1-70 in 1 day tho. Be sure to focus on 1 main/subclass first to unlock higher difficulty quests
Nice if you were on ship 2, I would suggest we should meet up sometime, I love making new friends
If NA is like the JP version you can obtain personal quarter tickets and my shop tickets 3 days that stacks trough the FUN scratch. If you are our of FUN the use the excube shop to get 1000 FUN tickets (you can also buy extra personal quarter tickets here). You can obtain excubes trough the recycle shop by giving up unwanted rare drops (usually 10 and 11*). If you are planning to go F2P you should use the my shop tickets sparingly because they still take time and resources to get.
TLDR : Don't buy premium if you JUST want the quarter or the shop, you can do it F2P with a bit of grind.

bonus scratches accessories and emotes are untradable and theyre limited.
i only recommend doing AC scratch for Limited Collab scratch and Bonus scratch emotes
You can trade some AC items and some scratch items. But some restrictions are in place, yes. Mission Pass cosmetic items I don't believe are tradable.
You can trade in pretty much every single Scratch item. The Recycle Shop is where you do this at, which you can turn them into other items basically. As for trading between players... I don't think the Mission Pass will have the ability to be traded, but Scratch Draw items are able to be traded or simply sold on the Player Shop. As with emotes, they're consumable items which you can both sell or trade.
i know. im reffering to the Bonus Scratches/Rewards. the current ones right now are the 2 Rappy Heads.
Bonus Scratches are untradable and most likely wont appear ever again.
so if you like them, def take them in case in the future they can be super fun to use while hanging arround and just chatting on the lobby while waiting for an emergency quest.

Actually... I think almost all of those are still able to be gotten on JP. I distinctly remember seeing a few of them in the Player Shop and my Team leader got Camera 2 a few weeks ago. So I don't think they're unobtainable anymore.
@@AcitoriaVakarianIdunno thats imposible. because the Scratch bonus emotes are untradable therefore tehy cant be put on player shop nor they can be traded or even gifted.
there is no way to obtain the 3 i mentioned after the scratch finnished which lasted for a month.
they never got revived again. most of them actually with the excemption of the recent bonus scratches which got revived as SG scratch. i dont know who youre team leader is but hes lying if he said he bought a camera 2 via player shop
The game on Xbox didn't become available to European region until like I don't know when but I'm sure it was after June so I couldn't play until then and missed the wedding dress event :(
Like War Thunder, It depends on how much time said item saves or how much you care about the way you look versus the value you put on your time. That's the math problem that comes up with any online game. Right now, I only have about 3 days in to this game and I could see buying a Premium Pass.

Nope, but you can find a unit and affix other abilities onto it. You can also select the unit from the inventory and choose 'engage stealth' to hide it.

How?
You can hide them but not transmute them.
Affixing is how weapons and armors are optimized. They are the "soul", "stamina", "spirita" things and all attached to your equipments. I would recommend you to watch a full guide on it because you will need it to play the game.

What happens to personal quarters if your premium time runs out?
You'll go back to basic room.
You can buy 'my room 3' ticket that will allow you to access your room for 3 days. Duration is stackable. You can buy it in excube shop in jp. But i only know you can get it in fun scratch in NA, you can still check excube shop
1 excube = 1 ticket
Just wish the personal/alliance shop wasn't premium kind of annoying, especially when your playing in the EU you cant buy premium (changed location to US to download)
You can always get 3 day passes from FUN scratches. Otherwise play Asia sells US gift cards. That's how I accessed premium from Australia.

You need to buy remodeling tickets from the FUNporium in the shopping area.
i bought PSO2 DLC and some in game currency and i cant find the dlc or the Currency anywhere in game. I bought off my steam account and it said everything downloaded and the money came out of my bank account but I have had no luck on finding my downloads anywhere... Any help would be great!

But to the topic, this is a good video! Even if I'd say it's more up to opinion, there's still some very essential things that everyone should consider and probably buy if they will be spending money on the game.
On the scratch... Basically everything you actually want (Costumes, LA's, Layered wear etc) has a higher chance generally than anything else in the scratch. Which is nice.
For the Player Shops, you make make *a lot* of Meseta via it. On JP at least some later game items you can get via grinding you can sell for 5mil Meseta or even more. As well as if you're like me and addicted to getting costumes, you can sell costumes you don't want for even more than late game gear (I sold a costume, for example, for around 40mil). It's super useful, even if you're not premium as you can get passes for free sometimes, for making Meseta or for finding stuff that you're either in a hurry to get or just want to skip a bunch of grinding.
Definitely up to opinion, but I've also had a bunch of people ask too. I definitely think the best value is the Premium Set over most of this stuff.
You certainly took into account everything and it's all done thinking about the cost and what not, it's a great video for those who need or want to hear more about it from some other source.

In jp you can Set up OTP(one time password) to gain another inventory 100 slot that can be shared between char.

Would you think it is worth it to spend Star Gems on expanded collection folders? I’m currently saving up for that, hope I’m making a good decision. I don’t see much else I want to spend Star Gems on... I already got mission pass since I have game pass
That is something I personally would be doing later on. Material Storage is the most important SG purchase for me. Will require 300 SG per month.
@@AnamanaCh Is it realistic to naturally acquire 300SG per month through playing? I don't see them anywhere as daily rewards and such. If not I rather put my money on some permanent storage expansions, I think.
@@BM03 Not really, you will gain by doing the story quests and daily missions around 800 SG, and then they will be given in really small quantities. The permanent expansions are way better than temporary ones
@@rex_melynas That's what I was afraid of, I did see I have a few hundred but it was clearly a mobile game approach where you get a ton starting out but they are non-repeatable sources other than your daily/weeklies, and neither dailies nor weeklies seem to have them here. I don't remember exactly, I think I saw the login bonus add up to like 60 a month and I think I saw something else do 40 or 50 but that would be it for consistent sources and it would be tight and unable to do anything else with them at all.

No idea, those costumes are in the Open Beta, there were no MTX in the Closed Beta. You could see if they're on the Player Stores as they are tradeable.
Question, I know it's not related to your video but have you heard anything about being able to transfer characters between ships?
Ship transfers are most likely going to be possible. In JP they do take AC however to transfer between ships and you have to wait until the next maintenance I believe for it to go through.
No word yet, I don't think options are available yet and we're unsure of any free transfers happening after beta. I hear just as much as everyone else, unfortunately. No connection to SEGA here.
I've seen your Buy or Die advertisement on the store before, is the personal store cross server or are you on Ship 2 Ur?
You can set whatever Symbol Art you want as your advertisement. Personal Shops aren't cross ship. Also, I didn't make it. But, you can save any you've found in history. The orange bar on the top of the Symbol Art window can be switched to History, where you can save ones you've seen. But yes, I'm on Ship 2.
@@AnamanaCh oh yeah, I learned that about a week ago. It's really useful, considering I'm too lazy to create my own. I was just checking because I've seen that specific symbol art before in the shops. I'm on ship 2 as well.

You need to make up the required stat! It should say how much you need and how much you currently have on the info when you select it.

Needed? Do you boost those up from feeding your mag ?
@@johnnyboy2875 When you level up, you gain bonuses to the stats required for equipping a weapon. For example, if a weapon needs 450 dex and you have 448, you will be able to equip it the next time you level up. You also can use skill points to boost these stats
Just to clarify but correct me if I'm wrong, the Fresh Finds shop, more specifically the ones listed as hot items in there that rotate every 2 weeks are costumes that you can buy that are permanent or are they on a duration after purchase? I know there are costumes in the AC Scratch draws but gambling is not something I'm quite fond of. Also for Scratch Draws is it possible to get duplicates of costumes or once you get the duplicate costume you can't get it anymore from the draw? Apologies if you already addressed any of these questions in the video or if they sound dumb, I plan on playing long term and if I do make some purchases I want to know what I'm getting into, had to rewatch a couple times to get my head around how all this works.
There are no duration on items in this game, outside of buff timers or premium subscriptions. Fresh finds are just cosmetics they rotate in and out on a limited time to purchase.

It is a free to play game, after all. They need to have some revenue source to keep the servers running and the content updates funded.

I used to play Elsword for 6 years and a lot of their costumes were from the item shop outside of Ice Burners which is basically a gacha system, and was looking online until I came across this video if there was an equivalent to it that had costumes that you can buy directly with premium currency if you saw something you liked.
Idk if premium is worth the 15$ a month seems kind of costly for a f2p subscription
You're always able to play the game for free, and you're not forced to get it to succeed. At the end of the day, they need to make some money somehow to keep the servers going, I think you definitely get a good amount of benefits for the cost.

@@ntz752 I was reading around and heard that when you buy a premium subscription from the AC shop it also gives you a mission pass ticket. I can't confirm this but I did hear about it from the JP forums.

You can buy a lot of it on Personal Shops via the Visiphone! Other pieces have come from the Mission Pass.
