I started reading Sanderson in March and ended the year with only Tress and the latest Stormlight book left to wrap up the cosmere so far. Very excited to branch out a bit more this year 😅
@@AmberAliseReadsYou know that feeling and excitement you got where the plot started really moving and just exponentially got better towards the end of Way of Kings? That's kind of where Words of Radiance starts off. It's a fantastic book and the pacing is done immaculately. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on it!
i never read any of the books but i watched the movies of the hunger games. and i watched the movie and tv show of hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy. i liked the movie with mos def better than the show, but i liked how one of the actors that played the doctor from doctor who guest starred in the show, and then years later the 2005 reboot referenced hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy. it felt like it came full circle.
If you like unhinged women and were ok with Letters from an Unknown Woman, give My Husband a try. I disagree with Merphy - it's the better version of that type of story. I'll give a few highlights from my year A Wizard’s Guide to Defensive Baking - surprisingly great and fun. Sons of Darkness - Overly unnecessarily brutal and wears its inspirations on its sleeves, but intriguing. The Dresden Files series up to book 15 - starts slow, but consistently gets better until it's great, despite issues with male gaze and repeating itself My Husband - surprise enjoyment of the year - just fires you up and makes you angry and is a crazy trip Wind and Truth - Some issues, but very great ending overshadow them all, Sanderson does it again The Eyre Affair - Silly crazy fun, (probably not for you if you didn't like Hitchhikers) Area X + Borne - What?
I love these highlights! You actually inspired me to look up “A Wizard’s Guide to Defensive Baking”, and I am definitely reading this one! It sounds right up my alley!

😂😂 That’s completely understandable! It’s an incredible world to get wrapped up in! I’m sure you will have an awesome 2025 reading year!
Words of Radiance is even better than Way of Kings. It is widely regarded as Sanderson's best work
That always makes me SO happy to read, because it’s incredibly hard for me to imagine anything better than the ending in WOK! I can’t wait to read it!
Isn't it still the highest rated book on Goodreads period? Not just out of Sandersons books but out of everyones?

There’s a hitchhiker’s guide to the galaxy show?! I did not know this! 😂
@AmberAliseReads yeah but i think it just aired in the uk back in the early 80's. lol

I am perpetually amazed anyone likes catching fire. Interesting video idea though
😂😂 For me, it’s the third book! It’s not bad, but it’s been taking me forever to get through.
@AmberAliseReads yeah 1st book is great but they fall off hard
