@@jenspflug7473 I like Hugh Jackman, but his vibrato is getting to be too much. I thought the casting for the movie, with a few exceptions, wasn’t well thought out.
@@jenspflug7473 I think given the relative freedom of a movie set as opposed to a stage setting, Alfie would have carried it off beautifully. And it is a musical after all.
@@jenspflug7473 As it's a musical I think the singing is more important - the songs are what stay in people's memories mostly - and sadly Hugh Jackman, though a brilliant actor, was not right vocally - it is after all a role for a tenor not a baritone. He really struggled with the high notes in 'Bring Him Home' - he practically screamed them - and poor Marius trying to rest nearby!
His best songs seem to come with the more quiet accompaniments. (or a cappella) I like his band but sometimes they're too loud. Guess you'd have to be louder especially in open air concerts.
Alfie is amazing singer either on his own or with Michael the best they are xxx 🎤🎤🎤🎤
No one sings this better than Alfie Boe.
I was there also and you could hear a pin drop when he sang this song. This song always brings a tear to my eye and Alfie was magical.
this song never gets old...and he still sounds so good performing it
Amazing …never tire of Allie singing
Fabulous, thanks Linda xx
It's been a while since I've heard him live and he sounds better than a few years ago. Maturity... beautiful.
Thanks a lot for the video!
Every time is better than before! Thanks so much Linda for sharing!
It is magic that a singer can laugh at him self
Wonderful video Linda, thank you.❤️
Thanks Linda. ❤️
Still the best. Did not know he auditioned for the film. Wish they’d have had the foresight to cast him.
You believe that he would have outplayed Hugh Jackman on screen? Well....

@@cathyborchelt9645 I wrote outplayed not outsung....))) Alfie Boe is the better singer but it is about acting and screen presence in a movie.
