Colonel MacGregor tells it like he sees it. As an old man who's been down the road a ways, been all over the world, and worked with people from all over the world, I can only say that the Empire is completely out of control and only serves a very few, already rich, special interest groups. I received 2 higher educations in the best educational institutions of the Russian Federation. I had to study the history of the Russian Empire, the USSR and the entire Russian civilization for ten years. I can assure you that everything that this person says is entirely a repetition of the current Kremlin propaganda. Even 25 years ago, there were diametrically opposed judgments in Russia, but now, to justify the aggression of the Putin regime, propaganda on the go comes up with an alternative story. In Ukraine, everyone speaks Russian and not a single person treated another person as a second class person because he was Russian. It is impossible to distinguish Russians from Ukrainians by any means, and the fact is that among the Ukrainians themselves, more than 50% do not speak Ukrainian or speak very poorly. That is, 98% of the population of Ukraine had Russian as the main language of communication before the occupation of Crimea in 2014. If such a stupid person can become an adviser to the President of the United States, then your country is in great danger! Taiwan is not just an island, but an island with a population that has always been for the ideals of freedom and a friend of the United States. If you now leave Taiwan to the mercy of fate, and then Europe, then tomorrow China and Russia will knock on your door!

to be more correct hisotorically : it was Stanlin's forced collectiization, into large state owned farms, to which the Ukr resisted. It is also a fact, that they also killed their own cattle. And much of the collectivized grain was transported out of Ukr under Stalin.

You've misinterpreted the Colonel's words. It wasn't the Russians who treated Ukrainians as he described it but the then authorities comprised by people of different ethnicity, including Ukrainians. Btw Stalin was not Russian, he was Georgian. Ordinary Russians got the same treatment. In terms of ethnicity noone was priviledged. But the Colonel referred to Moscow as the capital of the country that embodied the official politics

I`ve heard a different story about famine in Ukraine from Ukrainians and Jewish Ukrainians who lived in Ukraine. They told me the famine in the early 1930s was not equally distributed across all of Ukraine; there were places gripped by famine and there were areas where famine was totally absent. It`s understandable that Americans prefer the stories with the most horrible descriptions of their ideological enemies. It`s a snap for Doug to display his supposed brilliance before ignoramuses in his audience.
MacGregor's anti-bolshevik/communist stance aside--he is definitely correct regarding the Ukraine conflict.
Once you accept that he is a Paleoconservative and set aside his gripes about immigration etc he does have a great grasp on history albeit a ruling class/bourgeois point of view 🤷♂️
I don't agree with his politics but I do respect his base of knowledge.

Mr. mac Gregor makes still one error : Ukraina, France, ... They did refuse to deliver fertilizers, when China had to close its factories to avoid the electricity-networks to collaps. Again when the storm IDA did destroy an urea-factory in Texas, in 2021, reducing the capacity of the USA This all did happen before the war.
This choice was made in order to provoke heavy inflation of food-prices, in order to carry money ( paying corona....) AND to weaken SE Asian economies. At cost of mass starvation around the world. ( Guterres, United Nations Secretary General was speaking of 20 000 people dying of starvation every day).
We can understand how this agression by Zelenski , Macron, others?, has eased the Russian invasion, Ukraina, and if Nato should support them, Ukraina and Nato, both, would be isolated.
That is why China and India, India and Pakistan, Pakistan and Iran, Iran and Saudi Arabia and Egypt,... came all together...in an association refusing to follow Nato in this conflict, even if most condamn the invasion as mean to solute the internal Ukrainan problems...there were , at that moment, other means to force Europe...( and would Blinken prefer Ukraina to Europe ? )....
Not enough fertilizers means reduced crop, reduced food, higher prices...
it did provoke big trouble in Ecuador, Colombia, Peru , even dead farmers, during protests to have fertilizers... it is a main part of this story, how the West , trying to kill China, comitted Hara Kiri, drawning the people of Ukraina in this madness...

The Colonel is a top man, the information excellent, and I have seen the man's interviews before. Love the bloke, and cannot get enough of his commentary. The only complaint is the production: why do you have a blindingly glary window at the back of the Colonel that competes with us seeing his face. Any good producer would make sure that there are no visual impediments, something as simple as closing the blinds or drawing a curtain. Really!!! On the Ukraine? I have had thoughts that this is also a depopulation exercise. And I might just be right-Zelenski seems not to care as to who goes to the slaughter, at all!!!

The number of times I have had bring people up to speed on the Ukraine situation is very high.
The Colonel has done it adroitly succinctly and probably more accurately than I do.
There is some thing about the ballsing up of the devolution goes back to late 60's when Breznev (A Ukrainian) was head of USSR and Im told there was a common saying that means alot, but only takes three words... "Brezhnev was Drunk". The more I study Russia and the USSR, the more sense this makes.

One problem could also be that to many people on both sides of a conflict talk as if they know what other people are thinking and feeling and that it' must be the same as the speaker. What does that even have to do with personal responsibility ie freedom? It's impossible today to hear people talk in a non conflict or balanced manner.
