  • Good day folks! This is my first how to video on ATV repair. Put simply, if you know power is going to your starter motor and it is not showing any indication of power being applied to it, this may indicate that there is a break in the electrical continuity inside of your motor. Opening it up, look for any signs of damage or electrical shorting. If all looks well, ensure your motor brushes are making contact with the rotor (spinny part in the middle). If you pull out your rotor and the brushes are sticky or dont move in and put smoothly, clean and lubricate them, then re-assemble your motor and give it a try. Don’t use too much lubrication, as this may attract unwanted dirt and cause shorting inside the motor. Also ensure the lubrication you are using will not inhibit electrical contact. I use Krown Rust Control spray for these kind of applications often with great results. Works wonders for break cables for bicycles and e-breaks on vehicles as well.
    Hope this helps!

Yeah I see that the generic title text is still in the middle of the video. I miss the old iMovie app.
