What a well done piece! Highly entertaining! I liked and subscribed a minute in lol!
Thanks for the work you put into this content. This reminds me of what RUclips was originally all about.
I'm hiking the PCT northbound in a few weeks. I was born and reared in Pasadena. So the San Gabriel Mountains are what I identify as home. I look forward to more videos! Cheers!

Big Bear Lake to Cajon Pass is going to be a awesome Hike.
You are going to get spectacular views going up Cougar Crest Trail to Pacific Crest Trail
There is excellent Over head views of Big Bear Lake.
Deep Creek High Bridge has excellent tenting and water access.
plus Deep Creek Hot Springs is awesome right alongside Pacific Crest Trail. Some locals might surprise you as clothing is optional while using the hot springs. There are 4 - 5 different hot springs.
The Hike over to Mojave Dam will give you the first Creek fording before heading towards Silverwood Lake.
Over by the fishing and camp ground area of Silverwood Lake
There is a small tackle store with food and beverages.
Silverwood Lake is a good stop over with potable water and restrooms.
The Hike back up you give you spectacular views looking back at Silverwood Lake.
As you drop down into Cajon Pass you will have vistas of the San Andreas Fault line.
      For your Pleasure
I will leave a Google Map Link for the Cougar Crest Trail in Big Bear Lake that takes hikers up to the Pacific Crest Trail.
Some Hikers on the Pacific Crest Trail prefer this route for resupplies into the town of
      Big Bear
      Here is the
      Shared route:
From Cougar Crest Trailhead (parking fee area), Cougar Crest Trail, Big Bear, CA 92314 to Pacific Crest Trail - Polique Canyon Trailhead, Pacific Crest Nat'l Scenic Trl, Big Bear, CA 92314 via Cougar Crest Trail.

Very interesting trek. Looks like you live somewhere in Los Angeles and did an urban walk to the trailhead. Haven't seen that done before! Very cool that you can walk out your door and leave behind the hustle and bustle of the noisy city!

So odd to be hiking for days, seeing only a few other hikers, then suddenly looking down at millions of people from Baden-Powell. Slept on the summit. Cowboy-camped in the stand of scrub trees at the edge overlooking LA. What a mix of wilderness so seemingly close to America's largest city.
