Congrats, guys! Great video…greater accomplishment. Funny, I didn’t think I met you until Kennedy Meadows, but I’m pretty sure that’s me getting out of the white pickup in Tehachapi when you guys were about to get in! 😂 - Leapfrog
The highs, the lows and lot's of fun, laughing and dancing. Thank you so much for taking us along. Especially for the emotional ending on top of Whitney. Your (i suppose afterwards even stronger) bond is the most important reward of your journey. Curious what I'll find during my first thru this autumn (around 900km trough the north of Spain). For the PCT class of 2023, I highly recommend to watch "The long way home" from Titouan Le Roux. With an epic strech trough the Sierra.
Absolutely beautiful film!!! So well put together. I am honored to call you two my friends, Dumpster and QB! Lucky to have met you so early on in the trail. Here's to many more adventures :) -Bob the Builder
Omg, to be able to get into Yosemite and then get permits for half dome!!!! For the last 10 or so years people have been turned away. Thank you so much for putting back the young golden so it can grow to make more!!
That was EPIC....from one Aussie to another, that was sick! Total props to you two...awesome video, awesome trail. Cant wait to see what you do next.....CD maybe? Nice work guys.
Congrats on your Epic PCT Adventure in a HISTORIC SNOW YEAR! Thanks for sharing and that Golden Trout looked awesome.....and try not to waste so much beer on trial. 🤣
Great job! It never crossed my mind how cool it would be to finish the trail at Whitney ❤ Looks like you guys made the best of everything that came your way.
Amazing film, thanks for sharing your wonderful trip and friendships with us dreamers here on youtube. I've seen many skip ahead before the Sierra, and come back and do it last, and it's honestly seeming more and more like the right way to do it. What an epic finish!
Good luck! We will have another vid more about the stuff no one talks about in these videos coming out in the future, but if you have any questions send us a message!
awesome name btw. I'm leaving my nine to five at the end of April to do the PCT this year. And I would love to never go back to one again.@@neverninetofive
Beautiful. And congratulations! It was great to be reminded of this year's trail. I still can't forget it, even though I'm two months into it. All the places I saw in your video remind me how lucky I was to walk the PCT this year and experience the Sierra in Indian Summer. Best of luck to you!
Thanks for making this great video with fantastic scenarie and pictures of life on trail. I'm not excited about through the Sierra's with a lot of snow and icy lakes, and your hike has really inspired me to make the same flip and have Mt Whitney as my endpoint. I start 5th of april, so I think this would make a good alternative PCT hike for me unless it's a winter with minimum snow. Otherwise I think there will be to much snow for me to enjoy the Sierra's. Sure there will be snow in Northern California by the end of may, but not so much as in the Sierra's I guess. I have a question regarding your "selfie stick". Is it a small drone or a kind of stickless selfie camera??
We wished we could have gone in a straight line but we started a bit late to tackle the snow this year. The selfie stick is an insta360 X3 360 degree camera on our trekking pole
@@dazedadventure oh no! I wonder why.. I'm moving from Bama back to Western WA soon and I plan to be up in the Cascades a lot. Seems like it'd be fun to car camp near the PCT and grill out for thru hikers in between my own hikes. EDIT: I'm subbed now and I'll watch for that
Official start date was the 26th of April but we had to get off early on and really got going by the 1st May. To go through the Sierra earlier would've been better
I loved your video! Congratulations!!! We met briefly- I’m in the background as you were eating pancakes in Oregon, and it was cool to see friends we had in common in your video such as Found, Mantis, and Journeyman. Thank you for creating and sharing this! Best wishes, Quaking Leaf
Awesome vid! Subscribed! I’m prepping to start the PCT beginning of March or so. Any tips for budget? I’ve heard different numbers from others. I plan on starting at the beginning but most likely skipping the Sierras depending on snow density and weather

@@Nick-kb2jc thanks! You can do it :)
What a bad year you hiked all that SNOW, SNOW, SNOW then the hurricane and several early fall storms. A CA resident!
Too right!

Awesome video really enjoyed it! What were your sun shirts they look great
They are from Kathmandu. Just polyester but they took a beating. Check our gear video for more!
Oddly enough, this made me more likely to become a trail angel than to actually try the thru hike 😅
PLEASE! We are working on another video about the declining number of trail angels 😇 stay tuned!

Unfortunately they cannot :(
Everyone buying a Durston: Watching a guide on how to pitch it.😅
Its all about tension!
Do you guys know what date you started in Chester? I’m thinking of doing a flip flop hike because of time constraints.
I think we walked out of Chester on June 20 because the post office was close for Juneteenth!
What day did you guys start? Sorry, maybe you said somewhere and I didn’t catch it. I’m guessing mid March or something?
