    Hello, I’m reaching out to see if you could provide the manufacture / FAA approval document for applying large vinyl decals to the exterior of aircraft.

    now that you're near completion, I think a short 1-minute, "how to" segment would have been very cool to see, followed by a 5-minute overview of the past weeks accomplishment... (maybe on your kit fox???)

    Awesome stuff. Question: why vinyl and not paint?

      It’s easier, looks good, and can be changed in the future if I want to try out other looks

    Evan, I know this video is a couple of years old but what vinyl are you using? 3M 2080 or something else.

    Hello Evan, Maybe it's a idea to use a injection needle with syringe to 'suck' the air out by the rivits. It's make just a little hole ?

    • @EvanBrunye
      @EvanBrunye  4 года назад +1

      G L that won’t work. It takes too much force

    Are you going to apply the registration number on the fuselage or the tail?

    • @EvanBrunye
      @EvanBrunye  4 года назад +1

      Ghostrider 115 the standard location on the rear fuselage. Basically in the dark gray area right above where I’m working here

  • @cdeggz

    Can you wrap the whole plane? I guess that means you have to poke every rivet?

  • @michaeladams9107
    @michaeladams9107 4 года назад +2

    Evin don’t worry about the paint so far you can remove it with a good nail polish remover just spread evanly over the surface and then pull it all off in one big swoop and it will come off. You seem to want to be fancy with your plane so I recommend a nice cloud sky camo pattern on there which you can do with blue paint (available at Home Depot) and some cotton balls for the clouds (available at Michael’s craft store) just look up some kindergarten tutorials on RUclips if you need to know how to make the clouds

    You didn’t explain how to get rid of the small blemish? I would imagine you have to use the knife very carefully? It looks amazing.

    • @EvanBrunye
      @EvanBrunye  4 года назад +1

      John C yes just the exacto knife. I realized after I finished filming this that I’ve got some more pinstripe detail to put there, and it will cover that blemish up, so problem solved the Easy way!

    I always hear people talking about weight, when it comes to paint. Is this not a concern with Vinyl?

    • @EvanBrunye
      @EvanBrunye  4 года назад +1

      Don Anders everything adds weight. I’m not sure if there’s a difference between the weights of paint vs vinyl if you’re doing the whole plane, but in this small detail work these accents add up to less than 1lb, probably closer to .5lb

      @@EvanBrunye I was just curious, and was wondering if it would be possible to wrap a plane vs paint!

    • @EvanBrunye
      @EvanBrunye  4 года назад +2

      Don Anders you definitely can wrap it instead of paint. I’m sure someone out there could give a better answer than me on weight difference though

    What is worse... building a plane or editing videos of building a plane......

    • @EvanBrunye
      @EvanBrunye  4 года назад +1

      If I had to choose, editing videos, because building a plane is awesome. But actually the editing process is pretty fun too!
