- Playstation 3 FAT, 20 GB japanese release model CECHB00
original sony Playstation 3 component cable (same as the ps2 component cable)
720p gives you the best picture with the RT 5x
The scanlines look crisp.
looks good, the xbox version looks better in my opinion
Beautiful
Anyway to turn off the resolution display at the top left?
Did you turn off the ps2 smoothing and change the ps3 display settings to 480p before using the retrotink?
smoothing was on, the output resolution was set to 480p
How is the input lag though? I have everything to do this but also a ps2 so It’s a deal breaker if more lag..
Your PlayStation 3 is connected via component cable am i correct?
How did you manage to get rid of the leg disappearing glitch?
The CECHB00 model (this is what im using) is fully in hardware backwards compatible, as it has the EE and GS, so this error does not exist there. The error you describe is only found on partially backwards compatible devices (such as the 60 GB PAL model CECHC04), on which the main processor (Emotion Engine) of the PS 2 is emulated by software. Or on devices with cfw which emulate ps2 games full in software. Burnout 2 btw. is a good (and cheap) game to test with and to verify if your model is fully backwards compatible or not, that game has massive problems on partial bw comp. devices.
Do you have ps2 upscaler on and is your video settings full screen and letterbox
Is the PlayStation or the Retrotink Not able to get real black on the OLED screen?
You can see cycle through resolutions and the bars at the side go darker so seems you can, but just not at certain resolution etc
You can. I just tested it. Both on PS3 and PS2. You just need to have the settings dialed in.
