- Sharon's niece (the only one of Patti Tate's children who wanted any involvement with this dire book) and Patti's lecherous lover, Lisa Statman talk about a book they threw together and turned into a work of fiction. In no way, is it a biography on Sharon Tate. And neither one of these women deserve to tell Sharon's story.
fan can pick out inaccuracies on a flip through, when she supposedly has all this information at her fingertips.

Anyone else notice that a book on Sharon Tate cannot be published it seems without Manson's name being in the title??? the same with Greg Kings book, that was going to be solely about Sharon, then King claims the publishers insisted on Mansons name being on the cover.....
I was about to buy this book, but could not understand why it was written leaving completely behind Sharon Tate's sister Debra who is - after all - the first source of information about Tate family. It seemed very dishonorable to even think of writing any book about the Tate family without her. My doubts were gone once I found a press release published by Debra about "Restless Souls" and its authors - which explains it all. I strongly recommend reading this before you buy this piece of trash....

@garyj79 I haven't read the book, however I was on a blog where Statman answered questions from anyone that wrote in, it was very recent. Statman doesn't mention Debra and there is a reason for that. There was link to a site of posts from Debra and apparently Debra doesn't like this book at all. She says all sorts of bad things about it, "it's full of fabrications", "I reject it" etc. Debra says at one point she is going to tell the whole story herself. I think there is some competition

@garyj79 I was pretty surprised too about Debra not being in it much at all. No photos at all and barely a mention accept that Brie says that she is not close to Debra at all. She said she feels like she knew her Aunt Sharon (who was murdered long before her birth) more than her Aunt Debra. According to Brie, Patti and Debra have never gotten along and Debra is holding onto her father's ashes without burying them.

My bad..one of the statements I made was incorrect, about the movie 13. It was clarified in the book as being released as Eye of the Devil. I still stand with other statements I made though.
I just received the book I ordered. I haven't actually read through the whole thing-but just flipping through I have found factual errors. Things that can easily be searched for on the internet are wrong in the book. For example: Thirteen Chairs is the last film that Sharon worked on (according to various film databases) but the author lists it as being filmed at the time of The Fearless Vampire Killers. And also a photo of Sharon with David Niven on the set of Eye of the Devil is labeled as on
And what IS said isn't good: Brie writes, "There IS my Aunt Debra, but she is a far-removed aunt." Brie writes that, though she never physically met her, she feels much closer to "Aunt Sharon" than to Debra. Brie claims that, in life, Debra fought Patti constantly; that Debra took their Dad's ASHES, & STILL won't give him a "decent burial". Debra, naturlally, contests "RESTLESS SOULS" authenticity. #1? The author's name; her name is NOT " BrieTate." It's " Brie FORD"- from Brie's OWN Dad, Don.
i looked at the book when i was at the bookstore, i was going to buy it, but after examining it, decided not to, except for some rare pictures of sharon as a child, it isn't worth it.they say that sharon punched a hole in her diaprahm to get pregnant, i doubt it is possble to do that, medically, and how they would even know that is beyond me.
@HelterSkelterForum - does anyone know if Sharon's quote unquote "Bestest friend" Debra Tate is mentioned much in this new book???? im a little suprised too say the least that a book written by the Tate family actually comes from a family friend (Patti's same sex partner) and her daughter, who was born, what .....14/15 years after the murders!!!??
@HelterSkelterForum I haven't read the book and probably won't unless I can find it online for free. I found Watson's book online for free last night, I read a bit of it. I don't expect Statman's book to be good as the main source is Brie Tate who wasn't born until about 13 years after the murders, just trying to make money. Statman did say in that blog I read that while she was at some detectives house she stole some pics related to the case. The detective was very angry.

I read the book it is ok. ALot of the stuff was quoted from what I have seen on RUclips.

It's possible that StatMan's claim of being Patti Tate's lover is fiction in keeping with most of Restless Souls.
@PattyDukeTheatre - wow, still....good on her for taking the bull by the horns and 'maybe' adding more fuel to the fire that many people feel about Debra now ! and I dare say she knows more about Sharon - I mean, crikey, most of the stuff DT has said is made up anyway !!!!!
