Hylomar is great stuff. Seals great & never hardens. Makes clean up during future repairs much easier.

I just found a 69 triumph t100 in a horse barn and I’m restoring it. Your video is really great and I was stoked to see you hire a young kid to mentor into classic old triumphs and British cycles! This clutch rebuild video is so helpful! Thanks

I suggest that when reassembling the exhaust system, that you coat the faying [contact] surfaces with AntiSeize compound. It makes future disassembly SO much easier.

Please note that case screws used on vintage British bikes are Pozidriv (PZ, Pozidrive, Pozi-Drive) and not Phillips. Using a Phillips screwdriver on a Pozidriv screw will cam-out the screws head.

Thanks for the heads up. My Philips head screw driver is working just fine. No slipping

Yes, no clutch rebuild experience is complete until you've changed a set of clutch rubbers. On a complete teardown and rebuild, getting those damn clutch rubbers was one of the hardest things.

Good work Curtis. Bike sounds great. I’m not sure about the long forks, but the twin leading shoe brakes are the best front drum brakes ever, just saying.

Triumph clutch rebuild should have the clutch "rubbers" inspected as part of the rebuild

The Sunset Tripper bike is really growing on me. I haven't had to change my clutch yet, but I feel like it's something I could do thanks to videos like this.

You mention checking run out with the clutch assembly and with the rotor/stator, yet there is no mention of how to correct these if they are not acceptable ! Also to help with reassembly, show Curtis that a couple of threaded guide studs for the trap door and chain cover make the job easier. Once these pieces are in position, remove the studs and install the correct fasteners. Thanks for the videos.

I think you'd have to hit the studs in the correct way to bend them to get clearance..correct?

All good but mildly surprised you didn't inspect/change the clutch rubbers. No sniggering in the colonies at the use of the English word rubbers.😉

We did, not shown in the video (not enough time to show every single detail) Thanks for watching!

Surprised you didn’t put new Cush rubbers in while you were rebuilding the clutch.

So is oil crankcase scavenging affected due to the engine incline caused by the longer fork stanchions?

Morning! You guys use hylomar to seal cases?

I personally haven’t, but I know many well-known engine builders that do. I use yamabond

Did you guys replace clutch cable or was that in ok condition ? Great video! Waiting for the girlfriend post vid reaction when Curtis didn’t come home with the pink gloves. How long is he grounded for? 😅
