Linda here…love your videos. FYI, we use green tomatoes in salsa verde instead of tomatillos. Just cut off the yucky parts. Works even if they’re frozen from garden frost. Add in all the other veges that didn’t have time to ripen.
Your harvest looks gorgeous and they all that is just so wonderful looking. I think you did an excellent job bad weather and all enjoy every minute in the soup looked yummy. God’s blessings!🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏
The garden is so big, the air is fresh and peaceful. The place you live is wonderful, I really like these beautiful scenes. Thank you for sharing these beautiful pictures.
If you don't know already (and I'm sure you do), you can dry out the sponge of the luffa in your oven. They would just be a slightly different color. And I love your joy over the gourds and watermelon. Oh, and I just love seeing your duckies! The chickens also were loving the garden. And girl, you don't have to explain where your husband is -- we know if he's not with you, he is working or busy elsewhere. I know how excited you are to have real floors in your house!
Your videos just keep getting sweeter and sweeter. I am so envious of Cinnamon chicken. She is sooo lovely and well behaved! Tell me please what do you do with your gourds?
I wanted to commend you as soon as I saw you moving the fence! They are cumbersome. I like how you just took it on and got it done 👏🏻 Excited to see the floors, so enjoyed the garden cleanup and your end of season haul. My sister likes it to burn designs into those birdhouse gourds using her wood burning tool. They are a fun item to have around. Let us know how the watermelon tasted when you cut it open…so HUGE!
Linda here again…you can use end of season herbs in tinctures which are medicinal, easy to make and lasts years. Heck, I’m doing it on a sailboat! Just wash them, air dry overnight and put them in a jar with vodka for 2months.
Great video! You just gave me a good idea about getting another netting fence. My chickens generally stay in one area and I move the fence side to side so they have grass. New Jersey is in a drought right now. We haven’t had rain in more than 2 months. It’s so dry. They don’t have much grass to choose from I could use another fence Love Cinnamon! She marches to her own tune !
I found you guys a couple of days ago and I love watching your videos! They so calming and normal! Thanks! And I just saw a reel on instagram where someone sprays peppermint oil on their plants to keep pests away! Maybe this is an idea for the next season. I don’t know if it helps just thought about you! ☺️💚
So what do you do with birdhouse gourds? Do you drill a hole and make a birdhouse? I take my green tomatoes and put them in the dark and can them as they ripen, I got 10 pints of whole tomatoes last Saturday, I will have enough ripened this Saturday and I’m doing more spaghetti sauce then with the rest that ripen I think five more pints of whole tomatoes. I’ve done enough this year to last two years.
I'm so happy to see a video. I was curious about hanging herbs and flowers in the house. I have to lock my plants up. My eight year old Siamese Lynx loves to chew on my plants, so for safety reasons, I don't have any in the main part of the house. Do you have any problems with nibblers?
Do you guys not need to worry about hawks with your chicken enclosure? I’m learning about raising chickens and enjoy seeing the different types of set ups. I always wonder about ‘free range’ vs risk of predators.
You have such a calming nature. It is beautiful.
Thank you! That’s a lovely compliment. 😊

What a peaceful little farm. Thanks for sharing.
It definitely brings a sense of peace to us, too. ❤️
Loving seeing the chickens enjoying their best life. 🐔🐔🐔🐔

Your channel is so refreshing.
I love ALL Calico Cow Acres videos!
Love the wheel barrow ❤️❤️❤️❤️
All those things hanging to dry in the kitchen are ao pretty.
Time to put the garden to bed❤️
I love the chickens I have about 20. They are so much fun to watch.
The chicken duck reminds me of the movie, "Babe", where the duck is a chicken!
Pretty sure I heard “looking gourdeous” 😆💕
So much fun to watch

Dinner looked delicious 😋
It was!😋
@@calicocowacres My daughter is a vegetarian so I'm always looking for mods to our dinner to make hers veg. I might try the chickpea noodle soup.
I have never seen those before, cool! Great melon!
Might want to see about wearing a crownless hat for coolness with a bee keepers light veil for those spiders when in seaon, yuk!😅😅

Those spiders look so unique and scary with all of these spikes lol . What are they called ¿

What do you plan to do with all birdhousre gourds?

Small paying guests rooms a source of income in homestead .
Good morning! Love your garden videos! Question: for your tunnel is that more than 1 cattle panel? Measurements ?
It’s 6 cattle panels, about 24ft long overall
love your videos! what do u do with the pineapple sage flowers? i have some that just bloomed it’s so pretty.
Luffa gourd is commonly eaten young, by Asian cultures. They treat it like zucchini.
What kind of fencing do you use? I’d like to have something similar for my chickens to move around the property
It’s premier one poultry netting 4ft tall double staked
Where did you get your electric fence and what size is it
It’s premier one poultry netting 4ft tall double staked
Those are small enough to make a ladle out of
Not the luffa
