Thanks for this video, you took me right by the Florentine where we stay while in Wildwood . Been vacationing in the Wildeoods for 55 years. Really appreciate the ride.
I used to, in the 90's, vacation in Wildwood Crest, I used to stay at the Ocean Holiday. It looks abandoned now, I can't believe all the condo's that went up in North Wildwood...Great video!
I was there many times as a kid. There seems to be some mom and pop motels but I see a lot of new homes. I wonder if the old Thunderbird Motel is still there. I almost drowned in their pool!
I love the beach in the winter. Unfortunately for me, Wildwood is almost a 250 mile round trip and that's without stopping in Cape May. I'll just have to go to Seaside, at least the offseason down there is tolerable.
Stayed at the Viking in the Crest a number of times 1987 - 1996. Walked to/from there to the Boardwalk many times. Stayed at Royal Hawaiian a few times early 2000’s. I miss what Ocean Av was with all of the original motels, as tacky as they were. I always felt the 2-3 story L-shaped motels used the same blueprint, just flipped over for the other side of the street and with varying festoonation.
Ha, I've also noticed that about some motels. There's a lot of similar looking "motor inn" style motels in the Crest, too. Armada, Bristol Plaza, Nassau Inn, etc.
Honestly my favorite time of year at the beach! So peaceful! Thanks for sharing!
I agree
The Wildwoods are beautiful beach towns and I love it there all year.

Thanks for the serene ride along💙
New subscriber, thank you I really enjoyed the ride. I love Wildwood and Cape May ❤
Thank you for sharing. So many good memories of wildwood as a kid.. miss those days.
You drove past my parent’s place along the north wildwood sea wall. I love walking along the sea wall no matter what time of year.

I love videos of the shore.
That was a nice drive through Wildwood Crest.

The Thunderbird has been gone since around 2005. The replacement looks like a rest home.
Thanks for your reply. @@owlnswan4016

Crest starts at 2:00
This is what it looks like in September once the lights start blinking yellow.

They should change the name officially to CondoWood.
Heartbreaking
I always remember going down there one year, I want to say 2003 or so, and seeing like 10 motels gone over the offseason.
Clearly speeding
Within 5 of the speed limit. I'm not going to go tearing down the road while taking video. lol
Slowly losing all its character.
Yes, so call condos everywhere and those HOA fees. Terrible!
