After years in the background as an Empty Slot contestant, Wall-E finally gets the moveset he deserves. As someone who’s enjoyed his movie, this moveset was very fitting for him. Both Neutral and Side B (the former fittingly reminding me of R.O.B) were great defense tools, the expected Fire Extinguisher was a good recovery, and his down special was a good zoning counter. Didn’t put much thought into what his final smash could be, but the Escape Pod was a good pick. (Oh, and I loved the idles. Those are pretty underrated in the Lawl Community). Looking forward to the long awaited Dreamworks Duo, as well as revamping the old cast, and I wish you a Merry Christmas and a happy late 15th anniversary for Lawl.
Considering WALL-E is my favorite movie and the titular character is one of my favorites in that movie, I was really excited to see how his moveset would turn out, and I’m pretty satisfied by this result! I think WALL-E has been SUPER long overdue for a moveset, and this really delivers on it well, giving him fitting options and tools from the movie, with things like his versatile laser eyes as the Neutral Special, a funny reference to EVE with the Side Special arm canon, his iconic Fire Extinguisher as a really good recovery, and his main directive being translated into an effective zoning counter here. The Final Smash isn’t a choice that would come to mind for me, but it works incredibly well here. The taunts and victories were also very well chosen here. Only actual gripe I have is that he feels a lot more like a Zoner, and placing down his trash cubes aren’t as effective as his intended (but still fitting) playstyle would suggest. Really great stuff overall, and I’m really glad WALL-E ended up winning the empty slot in this Lawl. Keep up the great work!
This was a pretty good moveset to start my day. I honestly like the idea you came up with the Down Special and the other moves are nice. Overall, this moveset is neato.
