Only criticism I have is on Copenhagen. Since everything is red and burning, and visibility is often hampered, bombers have a tendency to just blend it and have some poor chap melee them without realizing. Especially on release, I could swear that they buffed the bomber spawn rate.
Yeah, also I got a lag spike and was progression-blocked by a building high jump, which is too high. Also i swear in the barrel-plank part I saw 4 freaking bombers in the spawn point at one moment, which sucks.
Worst part is the lighting, I get what they’re trying to do but it really is annoying while there’s 50 zombies and I can’t see anything in the catacombs.
Lets take old vardohus, it was technically the first objective maps they made thus it was kinda bare bones, but this paved the way to the remake, where they added more stuff in terms of immersion, like the soldiers huddling in the warmest location with minimal outside contact, and the whole map is a very well recieved update to a relatively short map. (rip the captain and ai crew members who would shoot the zombies for us... you'll be missed)
I agree with everything he said but I just wanna say the new alamo map is so beautiful and honestly in the dev blog they said they didn’t wanna do an endless but it deserves a holdout mission at least so we can fight zombies there, it’s by far one of if not the most beautiful map in the game now!!!
For me the best aspect of the maps is that they are mostly historically accurate. For example San Sebastian in the game is during the 2nd siege because we can see the destroyed walls and the burning city Which burns because in reality the British and Portuguese were drunk and in despair after the heavy losses after the first siege They thought the inhabitants were French and burned the entire city and murdered half of the population. Another example is Leipzig where the French also blew up a bridge during their retreat. There is also Berezina. In which a bridge was built first, then when parts of the army withdrew, the post was burned and the rest that remained had to build a bridge again
alternative title: Napolenic wars, and why their maps are so good actucally no I forgot, g&b made these maps first then the Napolenic wars, sorry guys I forgot
Leipzig's literally the easiest campaign now. It has only 2 main defend parts, which are very short(The "Burn the obstacles" and "Jacob blows the gate" parts. Also, it just feels too short, since the defensive parts are too easy. While Kaub has up to 4.
The only map to complain about after the vardo revamp is tyrolean village, but tyro is supposed to be hard, so you can't complain that wave 20ish bombers just blast through everything
I think there need to be rework on copenhargen, compare to other map it is very difficult and reason is that it have TWO holdout point. ONE in when collecting water and TWO in the house. And also the last part, it just don’t make sense, Catacombs de Paris the Zombie can’t even jump to boat but somehow they can swim now??? Somebody pls say that I’m have skill issue.
except, roblox voxel terrain is ugly and part terrain makes it more reminiscent of blood & iron maybe it's just me but i swear the terrain loads more like a blender mesh than parts.

That's exactly what the catacombs are supposed to be. You can just decrease the graphics so that you can see better
Just have 1 graphics, yeah it may look bad but you can see through the darkness (I can only play on 1 graphic in GB because above 3, I will lag hard)
turn your brightness up in the game settings i think its below 1 by default
make your graphics lower so it isn't as dark

Im pretty sure San has like 3 different hold out parts, also I think the zombies are just walking on the rivers floor lol

From my experience, playing on an iPhone 7 is actually quite smooth. Unlike some other “optimised” games that are laggy
