Oh nice ! I live in Seattle also but originally from Zamboanga City. Still got 4 yrs here in Seattle then going back home to retire. Love your channel.
Thanks for sharing this! We bought one from the same developer over in Subic and currently being built. We got the 2nd to the most biggest lot available in their community last year and our unit is almost half way done. A little more expansion for us since the spaces are really tight for a family of 6 + grandparents to live with, but to your friend I think he made a good buy! You get older and you are totally fine with a space that is decent and livable, we don’t need all those fancy space anymore to impress people (which what you usually want when you are younger). He seems really happy being there! Me and my American husband are so excited to move back home and leave the states as a thing of our past!
a nice place to settle, if that's what you want to do. a ground level place would be better for many older expats due to the old man syndrome. buying means no moving to other places, but it does give you that advantage of always being able to go back to your home when you get tired of traveling.
Nicely done, when these places started 12 plus years ago, the one up the road 1 bedroom one bath started 850 thousand pesos..they we’re town house style, he bought both units together, and extended everything..now over time and viruses prices have gone up..but a good job doing this now so people have another option for retirement here.. I your are able you can get a unit and use a management system to rent out the unit while you are waiting to move here,,helps get some money back, and then after a few years, you remodel and make it your own, plus being money ahead..😊
If someone likes the idea of living in a subdivision like this they could look for 2 adjacent units to have more space. I've seen some developments that sell units with mostly unfinished interiors so you can add walls etc however you want. Some of these developments are on the outskirts of town and aren't close to anything. I have a friend who lives in a Porac development. The house is nice but he says there isn't anything around the development except a provincial highway and a school.
yes so true 👍 i was wondering that same thing while touring if someone could purchase the double units and modify the interior to suit 🤔 im sure it could be negotiated 👍 these units are close to malls an airport Clark everything and entertainment but the road system traffic especially when the development is full could be aggravating 🤔
Grim looking. No parking, doubtless endless noise from barking dogs and scooters. Cheap single pane glazing. Buying at first fix means you need to spend a lot more to make it habitable. You get what you pay for I guess. My advice is build your own.
Yea true but to each their own.. when you are getting older you realize that not a lot of these things stated is what you really want in life.. we currently own an 8,000sqft home here in the states and we would be fine with a 3,000 sqft tbh.. you want something much easier to maintain, even just a spot to park your car, decent size rooms. Barking dogs is part of the Filipino lifestyle and scooters.. so embrace it as your new culture or just don’t.
Pampanga are indeed really rising after mt. Pinatubo errupted! it is now a nice place but it is not a good place to live on permanently as mount pinatubo is still active
No, an Expat cannot own land in the Philippines. You can own a house as part of a Corporation, but only own a 40% share. The land needs to be in a wife's name or another Citizen of the Philippines. There are some workarounds, but most are very questionable at best.
Do not invest here (other than a condo in YOUR name) until they allow permanent residents to own their own property. Relying on a citizen (be it wife g/f) or whatever is a recipe for disaster.
Good video….interesting. Looks like a decent development. My Filipina wife and I might have an interest (could pay cash). The only negatives I see are all 3 bedrooms upstairs (which will present problems for some seniors) and no bathroom upstairs. Tiny bedrooms….the two small bedrooms leave no room for reasonable storage of clothing & misc. It just seems to me that designing & building 700 units in this development is a mistake (🤔….well, too late now). Instead - having 400 units like these and then perhaps 200 units with larger sq. meter space & one bedroom downstairs, and also a bathroom upstairs would have given prospective buyers who can afford a larger unit (and willing to pay a higher price, of course) a choice. Good job though on showing the development. One suggestion guys - have your wife or any native speaking Filipino teach you proper pronunciation. You guys butchered “Mabalacat” and “Borocay” - sounds terrible. I know, I know, not a big deal - but it’s just the effort you put into it that Filipinos appreciate. Well done.
yes the stairs and bathroom thing could be annoying and less and some bigger would be nice 👍 not sure if they were gearing towards a younger crowd 🤔 all good points thank you
You need to understand they overbuild, too many units sell on payents. With lots of repos of units. Then many issues down the line. Really not safe for Expats unless you never cause any issues. Just to many units on top of each other.
@@chubsDubC whoa, that's not bad at all. I live in the States now and am thinking of doing the same thing and retiring early. Good for you guys for getting an early jump on your retirement. Your U.S. retirement (when you become age eligible for it) will go a long way in the Philippines - you can even live like a 'king' just on your monthly retirement. And I'm sure you've experienced already that it only takes US$2 to $3 to keep your belly full each meal.
@cicliolmo7152 absolutely 👍 yes after long consideration and knowing my work ethic and passion for this RUclips thingy 😜 i knew i could make it work now til retirement is available 👏 good for you in considering a similar life 😁✌️
Road so narrow and straight (nature abhores straight lines). I have no idea why they design housing developments like this still! Interior design looks good though.
I’m a new subscriber, I watch all your videos. I’ll be in AC in March, could you save me a seat For Sunday March 17th for the contest? Thanks in advance!
thank you 😁 and yes first come first serve since i really never know who’s gonna show 👍 be there a litl before 2pm and you’ll be fine.. we’re gonna grab another table for overflow 😁
in that development you pick between a few different models 👍 the house needs to be in a Filipinos name, foreigners can only own Condos no land no house etc
But that is not a complete price. Many upgrades need to be done. AC, hot water, lighting, kitchens very basic with nothing reallyvin them. The complete price can be much more.
Those are tiny little cookie-cutter homes. Very similar to places in Mexico as well. It's a little too tight for my liking, but it's very cozy looking.
Wish I didn't have to marry anyone to buy a house there. It's only a matter of time before feminism gets ahold of the legal system, messing things up for everyone.
Fiesta cheaply built homes..avoid them. Everyone builds sari-sari stores or stupid extensions to the front. Super noisy and maintenance of utilities and public pool is lacking. Take a look at video..where are you suppose to park your car. Houses are closed together...breeze. Hotter than heck even for Filipinos.
@chubsDubC that's where they will build their stores or close it off for another room with an additional 2nd floor space on top of that. Decca near Clark is an example of what will happen.
Just what I need. Is there a discount if I purchase it full in cash? Thank to Angie and Don (by the way I'm from Bremerton) and of course you and Anne. Hope to be back this August.🤞🤞🤞👍🤏🤏
Looks like a good entry level home. Everyone's taste and what they want for a retirement home as an EXPAT will be different.
yes so true 👍
low maintenance nice facilities inexpensive investment drop bags and explore 😃 these units are similar in price to a new car 😮
That is totally on my list of things to think about in the future as I get a foot hold living and retiring there. The prices are outstanding!
it’ll be interesting to see how things fill change and develop 👍

👍yes
a home base to chill between adventures 😁
and you can leave the majority of your belongings
When you buy a two story house make sure there is a other bathroom upstairs not only down stairs
Nice property n investment . Dude with hair is a younger Kirk Hammet from Metallica
there ya go 😂

I can't think of anything worse then living in something like that in PH.
isnt mount pinatubo near that area?
yes its within an hour away i believe 👍
Hello from Texas what is your lot size .
I would rather keep looking until i find something to my liking otherwise; I'm perfectly happy renting.
there ya go 👍 not sure if theyll ever stay there long term but good investment early and a nice place for Mom to stay at

Can a expat own one of these houses?
i dont have the answer to that question but you can reach out to their real estate office and see how they work that out 👍

Just keep your fingers crossed your bags are not on the front lawn when you come home late. One night 😫
Wait till the roster's come lol🤣

@siamtradingpost4123 i can see that 👍
The workmanship in the philippines is terrible. You will end up paying another 20K to update everything
Haha build in the states never go there better yet build it with your own dam hands 😂
What do you expect for $30k ?
It’s nice and cozy for 2 adults to enjoy. 😊
Is this still available?
there are still units being sold 👍
@@chubsDubC link naman pls!
@delconagher12 the links are in the video description 👍
Looks good but 1 level 4 us people getting old would be better
yes absolutely 👍 our apt is one level living and i love it 😁
million peso question - will the house crumble after the first typhoon?😅
😂 we shall see
would you be able to tell me USD$ range for one of these homes in this development ?
it is in the video 👍 i cant recall right now exact number but i want to say about $30k

yes the road was rather tight and busy 👍 i think theyre working on another one
iF They are completed and ready to move in ok, but be very careful of developer who want you to buy by the plan.
good advice 👍
Do you have to be Married to a Philipino to own something like that ?
thats a question im sure they get all the time.. reach out to the number or message them and see how they work that out 👍
Unless yoy want to give ownership to a local, you need a wife, girlfriend, friend, but understand they own it.
$33k usd =1,855,718.70 php😮

Wait. I'm confused. You can't buy property but you can build your own house? 🤔
in that development you pick between a few different models 👍 the house needs to be in a Filipinos name, foreigners can only own Condos no land no house etc
I would have made the 2 small bedrooms into a 1 bedroom. It's just too small to be considered a bedroom.
that wouldnt be a bad idea 👍
Ohh. I also have a vlogger neighbor! See you around on our community soon. Maybe we could also do collab soon! 🤎
👍 sounds good
have a nice day 😁
Hmm. 35,000 out the door would be good. Have a place as home base.then you can travel around.

good question 👍 cash is king here so i believe you could negotiate 😁 700 houses 150 occupied there’s got to be wiggle room
