Yeah this is awesome! Fantastic conversion I'm very impressed, the engine work also looks great with bolt ons. I'm actually just about to buy this exact ecu for my is300! Which is also 2jz-ge vvti.
@@CarModsGarage oh very nice! So it does work but just not tuned? That's the only part that I'm not sure about, when do you think you will tune the vvti?
I got a little arduino based bus board and I will try to make that work after the car is tunned. I will make a video of it when it works. I also though about making a gauges cluster with aftermarket gauges. It will be much easier to be honest
Lovely video, awesome work. How can you know which wires to connect where when you don’t have the wiring diagram. I have a Suzuki G13BB that needs a standalone écu as I’m putting a turbo in it. But don’t have the wiring diagram. What is your Instagram handle ?
Hey, instagram is @carModsGarage . Basically you need to either find the diagram online for your car but on my case I took all the wire harness out of the car and sensor by sensor I wired to the SpeedyEFI. That way I don't need a diagram for the car only the SpeedyEFI diagram. Was easy
if the cylinders are on the same cycle they will both burn so no waste. It works like if you are wiring a V8 you will need to pair them since the ECU will have only 4 ports. Same for V6
Man I gotta remember how it is but ya it will waste a bit if gas I think. Car drives like a champ though. I have a video where I did the wiring and I talk about the firing order
Dude if you still look at these comments I'm trying to get a standalone for a 7mge I was wondering if I got that speeduino can I use my ECU in my car and just use that speeduino for the six injectors? All I want to do is do a fuel map don't even want to mess with the ignition I've got a distributor I'm just going to leave it!
I always check my comments 💪 . I can't tell you that unfortunately. I believe for the SpeedyEFI to know about fuel it will need info like crank position, spark and so on so it can controll when to inject and at what degree. Send a message to the SpeedyEFI guys. They will tell you that for sure.
If it is SpeedyEFI it might be 10 and 11 also 21 and 22 of the small header connector. All the wires should be black. Double check. I'm not responsible for whatever happen to your wiring. The best way to find out is to contact the people that sold you the ECU
You are great man
I just found you here.
I’m installing one soon on a 2001 Honda crv but I’m new to this sow lots of fun
Door man. I hope it fits smooth. I'm installing one on my Toyota supra very very soon.
Omg this is way under rated this guy is awesome
Thanks brother. I really appreciate that! 🤙

This is the same engine as yours. It will work like a champ.
Thanks for watching!
@@CarModsGarage that's great to hear! Thanks for the feed back. How well have you got the vvti working?
I didn't tune the vvti yet. It's unplugged bit it worked. I player around a bit
@@CarModsGarage oh very nice! So it does work but just not tuned?

Very soon. 🤙
I need to check them out
Totally worth brother. I'll post some videos tuning it.
Hi there, awesome video. Would like to know how you’ll get the gauge cluster to work with the stand alone ECU or will you be using aftermarket gauges?

Hi. How about 5cilinder engine? i can run that ecu on 5cil? thx. great videos
Hmmm good question. I would assume yes but to be sabe message SpeedyEFI guys on RUclips. They usually answer pretty quickly.
@@CarModsGarage thank you. your videos amazing. keep on doing it. im watching subscribed ant bell pressed. cheers
@@Hhariukaz I appreciate it Haru! 🤙
Hi, do you know if speeduino support automatic transmission?
I think it does but I don't know. Message speedyEFI guys on Facebook. They will know
if you wire 2 injector together wouldn't you be wasting fuel in one of the cylinders?

@@CarModsGarage 2jz firing is 1-5-3-6-2-4....so while both 1 and 6 moves in same directions they be on different cycles....

Where can I purchase that same ecu in ur car
Hey Claude,
go to www.epeedyefi.com I think it is the fishdog model but ask them go get the same as the carmodsgarage 2jz. They will know

which ground pin is the ecu ground to the battery?

Sounds like she still needs some more tuning!
yes it is definitely right. I also ran out of injectors so I am replacing those 240cc OEM to 1000cc. Waiting to get delivered sometime this week
Car Mods Garage what’s your horsepower goal? 1000cc is good for 650 to 800 on pump gas
aiming for 500 which will be more that I need to drift this thing but you know how it goes lol. Might go higher once I reach the 500.
Car Mods Garage the engine can make 500 any day, just make sure your transmission can handle it brother!
ya I am using BMW ZF it will hold for sure 🤞
