Killer job as usual! I love that you have such a good ear for subtlety, you always manage to catch the feel and nuance of the guitarists you cover. You never fudge the hard bits either, keep doing what you're doing, always a true pleasure to watch and listen to your videos!
Randy is one of my fave guitarists. What I always loved about him was how you could always clearly hear each note, no matter how fast the run. He was one of the crispest players out there. You nailed that in your cover. Nice job.
Great job! Randy Rhoads was the reason why I picked up the guitar, and this was the riff burned into my head to learn at all costs. I was 2 months shy of seeing him on "The Diary Of A Madman" tour in Canada, and his death on March 19th, 1982 devastated me as it did a whole guitar community who looked up to him. I am really happy to see his influence has reached a new generation.
@@servethesongs She added her own style to the song, like most musicians do. That doesn't make it "worse", it just makes it her own version. Personally I love how she did it, and I thought she played the solo much more cleanly than Randy did.
Dude, so I have been showing my daughter guitarists like you, Orianthi, and Nita Strauss! She’s only 8 and really getting into it. She doesn’t have much skill yet, it’s mostly just banging around while listening to you girls play but it reminds me of me banging around to all of my heroes when I was her age. Thank you for being an inspiration to all of our daughters and everyone else! Cheers from Fort Worth, Tx.
Your daughter is going to end playing the guitar in a swinsuit in her room in front of a webcam for a 98% male audience… Not sure this is what you would expect.
I first heard this song when I was like 11 and I replayed the song like 100 times. The opening riff, the sound of Randy's guitar, the solo it all just made me immediately fall in love with music and the guitar. This song will always hold a special place in my heart. Cheers! Great cover and way to smash that solo.
I'm with you and would love to see how she does that while wondering if her promoted attachments were part of those distortions since her feet weren't involved.
Simultaneously listening to this whilst hearing XTC's Senses Working Overtime & Yes' Owner of a lonely Heart on the radiobox. Indeed music can be both diverse and just magnificent. How we are blessed.
Outstanding cover yet again Soph. Absolutely loving the fact that you are so into it and paying wonderful homage to the music that put me on the path to playing in bands n the 80's and giving it my best shot over the years. The difference is we're one generation apart and that is so refreshing to know that the classic rock and metal genre is in great hands with younger players such as yourself keeping it alive. Thank you :-)
the walk down in the verse is one of the best in rock music history. that combo of chords is just perfect. you can play it anyway you want, metal, country, grunge, folk... it works. pure genius. Its almost like Randy put that together thinking.. man when i finally ditch this crew and join a banjo band this song will be perfect!
That song is almost 7 minutes long and you play that song so smoothly and effortlessly through the entire song, unbelievable! Excellent Job Sophie Burrell!
tbh its very very far from the album, to get randys tone you.. cant even be in the same room as the amp without possibly dying😂 blizzards tone is very crisp and it has multiple tracks panned left, right, and center, AMAZING playing from sophie tho❤
Wonderful job on the classic piece!! Seeing people enjoy themselves as they play their favorite instruments definitely pumps me up. Might not be able to play electric guitar but you make me want to learn how, thank you and keep up the great work! Bravo!
You did an outstanding job. I'm sure Randy would be impressed and probably a bit stunned that people are still enjoying his work after so many years. I'm not sure what he thought of his fame at the time or if he was really aware of it but if only he could see how his legacy has grown since he's been gone.
The solo that you perform after you grab the first high note is virtually absolutely perfect. Musicality cannot be taught nor can it be learned. You either have it or you do not. This is the best solo I've heard you do.
this is one of 3 Ozzy songs I warm my fingers up with before I play and watching you play the original cut not the live cuts that is impressive great job

With all due respect no randy Rhodes who I love and respect and can play all his music with no problem. Randy is no God on guitar just at the right place at the right time. Just saying
Sophie.. to say that your guitar skills are unbelievable, would be old news.. But this is incredible!! I've always love this Ozzy track, but oh my.. you "nail it to the wall!!" WOW!! OUTTA SITE! GO GIRL..
I could listen to you play 80s metal 24/7. You rock! I played a little bit when I was younger but nothing like you. I wish I would have stayed with it. I saw Randy play right before he passed away.
That was a flash back before I retired from UPS, my favorite customer was Pearl Works Guitars. The company is still going but unfortunately Larry has passed years ago and early in life as his father did before him. I remember making a delivery one day and asked why one of the machines was covered in plastic, he was making gold pieces of the eagle in flight like your fret to be pressed into Coca bola wood. The plastic was used to catch the gold shavings. Larry was a hippie at hart genius. Great job Sophie love Crazy Train
Man holy shit. At the end I think I saw some splicing but holy shit the amount of detail in this cover is top notch. This song is FULLLLL of small tiny details and to specifically nail every single one of them is marvelous. As far as the splicing, I think I saw.... 5:45 where you go to the f# (and if it's downtuned half step, F) 5 power chord, but that's played an octave higher. Maybe you put them both in so you could have a disonance sound with the 2 chords together, but no shot anyone else has played this nearly as good even if it is spliced.
I so love young talent (especially female) embracing the music I grew up on! The future of music is so bright ! And Sophie is a beast! She's as smooth as butter!

Fantastic cover! What I noticed is how you kept trying to smile and then the raw energy of this song just made you go "grrr must rock!" Great execution through out. Randy was definitely a game changer; you honored that legacy here.

RANDY RHOADS was the electric guitar god, the BEST of all time left so early at the age of 25 on such a sad day of March 19, 1982. DAMN plane crash.
"Cocaine is a hell of a drug" as you can tell in Mr Crowley
Sophie you are awesome and your great playing reminded me just what a genius Randy Rhoads was.

I'm sure Randy would definitely approve! Not only can she play it, but she plays it PERFECTLY, FLAWLESSLY! I love watching this young lady play!
