- Take Me Back is the title track from my latest EP, and really the central theme of the project. This song means so much to me and has become a pretty significant marking of a chapter in my life too. There isn’t much I need to add that isn’t already told through the lyrics. I sometimes describe my songs as ‘prayers set to music’ and each song I release is a genuine prayer of my heart. In the time since this song was released I’ve already seen some answers to the prayer. After a long and confusing season of life where I’ve been unearthing questions I was too scared to ask for most of my life. Some days I have felt as close to God as ever, and others I have felt lost and confused. Life just seemed to be getting more and more complicated and I longed to return to the simplicity of my youthful relationship with God. What I’ve experienced since then I can only describe as a ‘restart’. Going back to the foundations and relearning the basics of the gospel all over again.
I had the honour of working with the team from Salt Studio on this project. They have become dear friends of mine since meeting them in Korea, and I was so delighted to be able to shoot some of these scenes with them last time I was there. We spoke about the song and its meaning and I left the rest in their capable hands. Their ability to explore concepts through visual art and tell stories through the simplest of details really stands out to me. I’m so delighted with what they were able to capture and convey in video form, for this song.

The imagery is pretty striking. They all lost the wonder in the things they enjoy because they started looking to those things for meaning and satisfaction instead of God (modeling, career, motorcycling, running free). But now that the wonder has worn off, they realize where it came from in the first place. God gave you gifts and talents to enjoy. But you can't make them an end in themselves. "Don't take the world but lose your soul." "Help me find a way back to You."
This opened my eyes to meaning of the song thank you, im glad to see glory of God even more!

Read the description and it's pretty much the same what I'm going through right now🙃 Some days I feel very close to God whereas sometimes I'm so confused, lost and broken. I know that He is telling me to let go and let Him, but my flesh is doing otherwise. Don't know when this cycle is gonna end but I believe He will not leave me, nor forsake me😊.

Your song is really inspired of the parable of the lost son.
