Still my favorite and a wonderful message about how each of our lives touches others. Only thing I noticed in rewatching today, probably would be ripped for scenes that are now considered not PC

It isn't Christmas without this movie. I've been watching it every year since I was a teenager in the 70's. If only every person could have this experience there would be a lot less sadness and regret in the world.

As a kid, Its a Wonderful Life was just another movie the adults watched during the holidays.
I watched it Christmas Eve this year for the first time since my childhood, and as a 35 year old, it has become one of my favorite movies.
It's one of the only films I've ever seen that actually brought tears to my eyes. As an adult, I can genuinely relate with George as I watched one dream after another fall to the wayside in favor of helping his family and friends. The low times he experienced and the anger and frustration as he realizes there's nothing he can do. And then realizing that the friendships and relationships he had made were more important than any experience he may have missed out on.

This movie always moved me--from the first time I saw it in my teens and then every decade after that. Had no idea how hard it would hit me & relate to it now in my 60's. It really has helped me come to terms with the decisions my husband & I have made in our lives. Life didn't really turn out like we planned it. But, all in all, it is still A Wonderful Life. Wishing all of you Much Love & Peace of Mind this Christmas & Holiday Season.

@@roxymanasquan9087 I just loved this movie, always have since I was a teen. I'm 65 now. So much of it reminds me of my younger days. My grandparents had a big dining table like the one in the beginning where George was talking to his dad. The town is similar to the one I grew up in. I used to watch it with my dad when I was young. It's the only movie that I cried at the very end when all his friends and family came to help as much as they could. It's been a few years since I've seen it. But when they say something like " no man is poor if he has friends" I just loose it and I had to hide it from my dad when we watched together. Because It's so true, Money and things are not as important as our fellow human beings! Which is sorely lacking in this day and age. I could go on and on and I guess I have lol. But I'm 65 and have no one to talk to most of the time so throwing this out there for anyone to read helps me not to to feel so lonely. But yea what a GREAT MOVIE.

I was a nanny in San Francisco in the 90s. My kid's friend was Jimmy Stewart's grandson; Jimmy's daughter lived a couple miles away. I loved hearing his grandson talk about how, "my grandfather [Jimmy] wanted to enlist during WW11 but was turned away for being too skinny." Jimmy had to gain more weight before he was accepted. To this kid his grandfather was just his grandfather, not a world-renowned actor. Thanks for the video(s): good stuff! 😃😃😃

In the history of movie making, no other film has ever captured the generosity of the human spirit like It's a Wonderful Life. The gratitude of each person who dumps their donation on the table that Mary has cleared, in order to save George Bailey in his hour of need, who had sacrificed the hopes and dreams of a lifetime for the good of the people of Bedford Falls, and George coming to realize that it had all been worth it in the end - an unbeatable message that truly manifests the divinity in us all, could we but know! Each year as I watch the emotional rush of its magical ending, I never fail to feel the hope that there must a George and Mary Bailey in us all, without which it just wouldn't be Christmas. Let us drink a cup of kindness and forgivess! Thank you Jimmy Stewart and Donna Reed. Say hello to Clarence for me.

This is most certainly a "Timeless Classic."
I'm a huge fan of the Turner Classic Movie Channel. My mother exposed my sister's and I over the years to GREAT movies. As a result, we are all movie fans and enjoy a good story. Today's movies cannot compare to the movies of yesteryear.
Turner Classic Movie Channel has something called Fathom Events. It's where there bring these classics BACK INTO THE MOVIE THEATERS across the country for a few select days. Usually a Sunday and a Wednesday. The movies are digitally remastered and they talk about the movie just before it begins.
In December 2014, I was fortunate enough to see this great Christmas Classic in the movies! It was right before Christmas too.
The theater was packed and you can hear a pin drop. The audience including myself were in awe.
I love anything with Jimmy Stewart and to see him up on the big screen for the first time in my life was a very memorable experience.
I also am a huge fan of Jack Lemmon.
I will never forget that day.
At the end of this month January 2019, they are putting back in the movies for three days only another timeless Classic.
    It's Sunday 1/27, Tuesday 1/29 and Wednesday 1/30.
    "THE WIZARD OF OZ "
    It's the 80th Anniversary.
My sister and I are taking her children to see this.
Thank you Jimmy Stewart for being the amazing person you are......
    Christine

What's so great is that it's not really a "Christmas" movie. The end just takes place around Christmas time, but it was enough to earn it years of popularity as a true Christmas movie.
