This actually reminds me of something an old coworker said to me a few years ago. We were discussing the Live-Action remake of Mulan. I hadn’t seen it, but I knew that they’d made a bunch of changes to make it more accurate to the Chinese legend. He had seen it and I brought up how the reviews were pretty mixed. He said that he actually enjoyed the movie and he thinks the issue was that people were expecting what was seen in the animated movie and if the movie had been made and marketed as it’s own movie and not a remake, it would’ve probably been better received. Maybe The Cat In The Hat is like that. People watch it expecting the book and when it doesn’t follow, it leads to people disliking it. But as a stand alone story, it probably would’ve been better received.
This is one of those movies i watched a lot growing up. This and Incredibles were my road trip movies. And i still think this movie is hilarious. I knew of Dr. Seuss, but i wasnt a die hard fan. I still think there are so many good moments in this movie, more than it should at least.
This is one of those films thats so bad its good and enjoyable because you get a good laugh out of it, but nobody else seems to agree that it falls into that category.
I'm creating a cartoon. It's called, Forgotten Tales! It's about these forgotten and obscure characters that no one remembers from media going on wacky and crazy adventures.
if his widow did not make that statement to universal studios i really would love to see what the second one would have been like in another universe this movie was actually good to where it had a sequel i so wanted to see another one they could have adapted from the first
PLEASE this movie was literally my childhood. Probably explains a lot BUT LITERALLY I LOVED IT SO MUCH
SAME
The cat in the hat is a movie that’s so insane that you just can’t hate it
The background work is really good.
Too good for this movie.

Could u pls do a video on who Luka from Miraculous will end up with? I’m shipping him with Zoe
This movie was my childhood I love it
I loved how chaotic it was
I agree, I understand it being seen as a disgrace to the book, but I still really enjoy this movie.
You know honestly I think this would’ve worked better if it was a hybrid between of traditional animation and live action like Who Framed Roger Rabbit
I don't think it is nostalgia making people hate this film

I hate this movie but…
I laughed my ass off when the cat chopped off his tail-
