You are sooooo down to the earth, Juna! I have never seen anybody on youtube ever showing their own stores and the full REAL stats of earnings like this! OMG!!!! You are just AWESOME, Man!!! Thank you so much for giving me a hope that it is totally possible to make $60K pure profit through POD sale. I totally gave up on POD at the beginning of your video until I saw your #1 recommended site at the end. Thank you so much! God bless you!
Your video has helped me take the dive with CafePress. I made only one shirt for myself that was fanart and every time I wore it, I always got compliments on it from total strangers. Some people even thought it was actual merch gear, telling me my art is that good for not being a professional. Never perused my idea to make shirts until just recently. Wanted to see if CafePress was really worth it as I had my heart set on it but didn't know if I should go to it. Every time I researched another shirt site, they had a downside which led me back to CafePress. Also, your Corgi eating Ramen Noodles is popular. I've seen it randomly throughout the internet.
Thanks again, Juna. I'm on MBA, RB, Spreadshirt, and Society6. Spreadshirt and Soc6 are a big bust for me. Hardly any sales after a year and a half. But I really like their products, both in quality and selection, so when I make something for a friend or relative, I upload there and order from myself.
Really good info - thank you, Juna! I am currently on Etsy and RedBubble. Started on Etsy almost 3 months ago - just made my first 2 sales yesterday and today. What you saying is to choose 3 POD sites that work. In your other videos, you say to focus on one POD site and work on others. You have 10 and even though you allow 7 to fall by the wayside you kept them. Why close the other 7 and focus on your top 3 only. I will start with the top 3. If I am not able to get in one, I will try the next top POD site until I am able to get in the other one. Thanks for sharing.

Great video, as always? Wondering why you don’t automate to multiple shops at a time? It seems like that would boost your sales. Would it not be worth the effort compared to just focusing on MBA?

My boy, I really hope you answer this comment. I have a question, but first I'm going to put you in context so that you can understand better. So, in one of your videos you said that for every niche you have to create a different account so that you don't combine niches which of course it makes sense but lets say that you have 2 different POD business so my question is how can I promote my two POD business? For example, lets say I have a cat niche in redbubble and in teespring how can I promote that cat niche for both my redbubble and teespring stores? It would help me sooooo much if you answer!
I wouldn't create a new account for each niche.... I would create a new brand name for each niche. That's a little different. On Merch by Amazon you can change the brand name. You can't really do that on RedBubble or other POD shops. If you have 2 or more POD sites I would pick the one that works the best for you. Look at your data and see which one is bringing in more sales. If you don't have any sales than it doesn't matter just pick one. The other option is to do a linktree as your one link on Instagram for example. You can look at my link on Instagram. Clicking on that link will show you buttons to different websites. Honestly though... if I were first starting out I would try and get as much organic traffic I could by creating designs specifically for that POD site.
Great video again juna. I have 2 question🙋 1. How do you upload design in so many website? Do you use automation tool? 2. Do you upload design on your own store (Shopify) and how you do marketing please make video how you do marketing on your own store
1. I upload everything manually that's why I have very little on some of the sites. 2. I do upload designs to my Shopify store but I haven't done a good job of marketing. I have an email list that I use when I release something new but I also post on social media. Not getting very many sales on my Shopify store TBH.
Just make sure you don't use flying upload tool. You can't unsubscribe and they steal 600.00 every year. I KNOW . Had to change my credit cards and bank. They are in a foreign country so they know there is nothing you can do about it. Even if you use pay pal.
Hi 👋 could you do a video about design by humans ? I’m asking because there isn’t enough information about them . Can you explain how to upload designs, and what you think about them , you’re experience…. This are just ideas… Thank you so much for your work 😊
I‘ve recently been accepted on first attempt after 5ish days here in Germany, but I haven’t quite figured out how it all works, I‘ve got a few designs online, 3 I believe, a 4th has been rejected for no apparent reason, and being able to upload only 2 products a day will rather take me ages to get any traction. Tier 10 as a beginner translates into utter frustration as of yet 😅
Can you upload same design to multiple platform? Is there any legal issue doing that? I have been watching you video for a week now and I have learned a lot. Thanks for all the tips.
it was an amazing video. thank you... Also I have one doubt about redbubble. I have recently started print on demand business so pardon me if you find my question DUMB..... for one of my T-shirt designs, I chose light blue as the default color but when I go to the product page there is no option for light blue color. My T-shirt still shows up as light blue but in color options, there is no blue color. It says white color selected... So should I change the default color from light blue to one of the available ones???
I was hoping you would speak about print quality, tshirt quality, and customer service for these ten companies. Could you create a video discussing your experience? The 'reviews' for pod companies is all over the place ! 😳
If we notice the logic of the table shown! If you realize in this logic that the more designs you have, the more likely, the more sales you will make!, that's what I noticed
hi. thanks. i have a question. do we have print on demand website that paying with Digital currency? Unfortunately, PayPal does not provide services to some countries.
Thanks for your video. You are so transparent. But i have one doubt, y don't u upload the designs to all the websites? Is it any problem with that one? Thanks for your reply in advance...
It's mostly a matter of time... I'm just one person so I need to pick and choose which POD sites I want to upload too....I know Merch by Amazon gives me the most so I always upload there first.... When I feel I have time I do the others
I am sooo bumbed because I got terminated from Red Bubble. They didn't even let Iknow what the problem was. I'm assuming maybe I used an image that wasn't public Domain And I thought it was. Other than that I have no idea. I just started out too. Oh well, Now that I'm going to places like creative Fabrica that won't happen again. I'm going to try out Tee public. Ty for all this info.
I've been uploading to Zazzle, but the system is SOOOO confusing and you can't alter or fix the design once it's live. Or at least I haven't found a way to cause it's SOOOO confusing!
i want to ask why you don't run ads for merch by amazon shirts if you run it can you make a video about your ams strategy to scale or make more sales for our shirts ?
Yes I have. You definitely can make sales... I only stopped because it didn't fit my business model which is more passive.... you definitely need to be a little more active to do well on Etsy in my experience
I personally wouldn't. I don't like spending money I don't have. If I was on tier 10 I would use as much FREE stuff I could find until I turn a profit for Merch Informer.... If you are already making a profit elsewhere than maybe.
Great video. let me ask you some. 1.How would mange to upload all sites? 2.Have you uploaded the same designs for all sites? 3.Which site do you start niche researching? 4. Those sites you have very little so far, so, are you willing to keep uploading?
Well over time you can upload here and there... Saturdays are good for that. All my designs are on MBA... a subset of those designs are on the other POD sites. I mainly research for Merch by Amazon on Amazon. Yes I will upload to the lower POD sites eventually but I'm so focused on RUclips and Merch by Amazon it may not be for a while
i want to ask you about thredless royalties per shirt ? i want to open shop there but i didn't find any information about artists royalties ? when you sell a shirt how much you make ? & thank you
It works on a base cost system... so if you can sell your products for higher you get more... Scroll down on this page... www.threadless.com/artist-shops/signup/art
Hey thanks for the video it's really awesome I am new to the POD business so I have a really big question, is it possible to add the same t-shirt design to several prints on-demand sites? hope to get a reply soon 😀
Teespring I never made a sale, so I stopped, Zazzle i gave it a rest for a while cause of the pandemic and the California shut down back then, sales stop rolling the whole 2020 - 2021 so I'm leaving it alone. I dont know if i wanna go back and sales are very low 75 sales in 3 years. So not soo good. Spreadshirt & Threadless, I'm still new too em but no sales yet ! My best - for 6 years Redbubble, 3 years Teepublic ! Sales on these 2 Beats all 4 of the others ! But I'll see in the long run if Spreadshirt & Threadless will keep up maybe, I almost 2 years with these 2 POD
My major concern is the payout times of these 3rd party sites. Is there a way to get paid as soon as the customer fills the order instead waiting 60 days
Well..... Esty/Printful kind of works like that but then it's not $0 up front... you will have to pay lots of fees and pay for the shirt yourself.... I rather wait the 60 days to be honest
Long story short is it just didn't fit the way I wanted to use my time and money..... it's a different shop than I am used to... it works but it's not as passive as I would like.... I think if you like Etsy and all that comes with it you can do well.
Great info Juna!! Thank you for sharing this. Now that you have other POD sites that you use, is your website linked to all of these? Do you have a video? Who did you use for making your website? After watching this, I'm thinking about other POD sites. Your such a motivator!!!!
@@DetourShirts Ok Just trying to figure out which is best Shopify, Printful, Printify for website to POD. Like I said previous, its time to branch out lol.
First step... figure out what people want to buy. Second step.... design something those people would want to buy... Third step... upload 10,000+ of those.
Depending on the product I make somewhere between $3.95 - $5.35 per product sale.... I try to make sure my t-shirts are getting about $5 profit per sale.... Taxes are paid at the beginning of the following year (or throughout the year if you are paying estimated taxes per quarter) so just save about 30% of your profit for taxes... It's most likely less than 30% but I find that it's better err on the greater side..... so really after taxes it's really more like $3.50-$4 a shirt sale for me.
@@DetourShirts So $3.75 per shirt. U sold 2000 on Amazon, it's a net $7,500 in a month. Still great. Right? Are you doing any promotion on Amazon? (if I can ask)
I'm using redbubble and failing miserably at it. I've made zero sales. I need to get me a slice of that merch by amazon. I've applied 3 times and got denied. I KNOW I'm getting denied because I'm messing up the application somehow, but I don't know how. I'm super introverted, so the section where you're supposed to sell yourself as a master of design and money making machine is super difficult for me :(
It's not you.... getting into Merch by Amazon can be tough.... It's kind of like winning the lottery... keep trying again while adding new designs and getting better at RedBubble.
Hey Juna great vid. What tier do you have to be at in order to get your own store link from Amazon? I’m at the 20K Tier and I do have access to advertising.
Not really, do the best you can, add links to your designs on other POD sites or a portfolio if you have one but it's really just being lucky.... Amazon can only add so many people per month so you may be one of the lucky ones
good video. thank you. Appreciate yr transparency and honesty. Thats diffrnt. What strikes me is hiw much work it all is for small ocassional rewards. Its like the artists are the serf class in the capitalist system. with a few bones thrown from the capitalists dining tables. Slave labour and you gotta keep it up otherwise it fades. Wow. Theres got to be a better way ??
Well, I see what you mean... what we are paying for is convenience... these POD shops have the traffic and the means to print the products... we could do those parts on our own and keep more of the profit but we may end up with less sales
May I ask out of these 10 have you changed to new ones and also is there another way to earn money that you know that doesn't involve me putting money in
I'm new at this business and just opened a shop at RB, but I plan to expand to other sites like Amazon, TeePublic, and Threadless. I was looking at your shops and many of your designs are on all these sites. Do you think it is a good idea to create a t-shirt design and upload it on all your these sites or do you recommend doing different designs for every print-on-demand site? Thanks and great video and an awesome discovery for me this channel is!
I make them the same for convenience but if you have the time you should do different designs for each... each POD site has a slightly different audience and you should cater to those audiences
There are lots of ways... this is just the way that I have done it... I would search RUclips to see how others have done it and see if their way matches what you like to do.
Hello and Thanks Juna! I am your new subscriber and i think you deserve the million of subscriber because you are such a loyal and honest person. So one question disturbs me Kindly tell me answer: Can i upload the same design to as many of these platforms as you say in this video?👆
Thanks for subbing! and yes.... your one design can be uploaded to all of these print on demand shops..... they are all non-exclusive. The only time you can not is if you are doing specific fan art for that Print on Demand shop that is exclusive to that shop where they have the rights to do it.... for example Cafepress has rights for Mighty Mouse but the others do not.
Hello sir my question is If I have a Copywrite of any design and I want to upload this design on multiple POD sites and then any website blocks my design because of Copywrite law then what should I do ? make a detailed video on this topic
If it is your design then you can upload to as many POD sites as you want... You probably saw that when I showed my different stores. All of them have a lot of the same designs.

This are just ideas…
Thank you so much for your work 😊
Yes I can
@@DetourShirts thank you so much
Interesting that your sales/designs ratio is really similar for MBA Teepublic and Threadless at about 18%.
True
Thanks so much 🙏
My question is, if you were just starting out now would these still be the top 10 that you would choose?
Yes... maybe in a slightly different order but Amazon and TeePublic at #1 and #2.
@@DetourShirts okay great thanks for your reply :) learning lots from your channel
Yes it's a learning curve for sure. I hope you tier up soon
Can you upload same design to multiple platform? Is there any legal issue doing that? I have been watching you video for a week now and I have learned a lot. Thanks for all the tips.
Yes you can!
it was an amazing video. thank you...
Great question but it sounds like you did it right
I was hoping you would speak about print quality, tshirt quality, and customer service for these ten companies. Could you create a video discussing your experience? The 'reviews' for pod companies is all over the place ! 😳
That's a good idea... in the meantime check out Shimmy Morris he has done a bunch of those videos
Do you post your designs frequent in social media to maximize exposure? Or most of your traffic is from the platform itself?
Most of my traffic is from the platform... I don't advertise that much and most of my followers are t-shirt designers and sellers not buyers
If we notice the logic of the table shown! If you realize in this logic that the more designs you have, the more likely, the more sales you will make!, that's what I noticed
Oh yeah.... having lots of designs is the biggest way to get more sales
Thank you for the honesty!
My pleasure!
I have a question. I tried 4 times Amazon, and they keep denning me. Do you know what could be?
The luck of the draw mainly..... try at different times of the month..... I think they have a limit of people they are letting on
Thanks Juna! I feel uploading and editing designs on society6 and teespring is frustrating for me. And please help us getting approved by MBA.
Thanks for sharing... I wish could help with getting approved by MBA... I believe it's totally random
@@DetourShirts oh okay, then only way is to try try try.
hi. thanks. i have a question.
do we have print on demand website that paying with Digital currency?
Unfortunately, PayPal does not provide services to some countries.
Like Cryto/bitcoin? Sorry... I don't know the answer to that one.... good question for the Facebook group
@@DetourShirts yes, like bitcoin and ....ect.
Thanks.
You are very welcome. I hope things get better for you
I've been uploading to Zazzle, but the system is SOOOO confusing and you can't alter or fix the design once it's live. Or at least I haven't found a way to cause it's SOOOO confusing!
I'm not a huge fan of Zazzle right now... but I haven't tried it lately... thanks for the tip
Ohhhh😱😱😍😍
10000 design, Very amazing.
😂I'm only 50 designs.
I'm a novice, 🤩🤩It was really helpful, Thank you.
Most welcome 😊 Keep it up
i want to ask why you don't run ads for merch by amazon shirts if you run it can you make a video about your ams strategy to scale or make more sales for our shirts ?
I do run ads but I'm not really an expert in it..... sometimes my ACOS are low and sometimes I don't get the amount of sales I want.
Thanks for this video. Have you ever sold on Etsy? Is it good or not in your experience?
Yes I have. You definitely can make sales... I only stopped because it didn't fit my business model which is more passive.... you definitely need to be a little more active to do well on Etsy in my experience
I want to ask you juna.
Do you recommend using merch informer in t10 account?
I personally wouldn't. I don't like spending money I don't have. If I was on tier 10 I would use as much FREE stuff I could find until I turn a profit for Merch Informer.... If you are already making a profit elsewhere than maybe.
Just curious...re: sites you don't have many designs on... Why wouldn't you/don't you just automatically put each new design on every site?
You make a good point... I don't know.. mainly laziness on that part.. I guess
@@DetourShirts thank you
Thank You. So informative!
Glad it was helpful!
Can you give us some advice on SEO for Merch by Amazon? I never know what to write.
The title should be a key phrase that people are looking for... check the autocomplete on Amazon.... other SEO keywords should relate to your design.
Hey thanks for the video it's really awesome I am new to the POD business so I have a really big question, is it possible to add the same t-shirt design to several prints on-demand sites? hope to get a reply soon 😀
Yes, absolutely
@@DetourShirts Thanks 😃👍
Tee spring charges shipping and sales tax and it takes 2-4 weeks to get your order.
Ohhh... I had no idea.. thanks for sharing that
Teespring I never made a sale, so I stopped, Zazzle i gave it a rest for a while cause of the pandemic
and the California shut down back then, sales stop rolling the whole 2020 - 2021 so I'm leaving it alone.
I dont know if i wanna go back and sales are very low 75 sales in 3 years. So not soo good. Spreadshirt
& Threadless, I'm still new too em but no sales yet ! My best - for 6 years Redbubble, 3 years Teepublic !
Sales on these 2 Beats all 4 of the others ! But I'll see in the long run if Spreadshirt & Threadless will
keep up maybe, I almost 2 years with these 2 POD
Seems like you figured out what works best for you... thanks for sharing
@@DetourShirts No problem, just hope Spreadshirt and Threadless could work out too
Do you upload the same designs on different POD platform?
Yes
My major concern is the payout times of these 3rd party sites. Is there a way to get paid as soon as the customer fills the order instead waiting 60 days
Well..... Esty/Printful kind of works like that but then it's not $0 up front... you will have to pay lots of fees and pay for the shirt yourself.... I rather wait the 60 days to be honest
@@DetourShirts Thanx a mil again.
Which pod you connect with Amazon to sell?
It's called Amazon Merch on Demand... it's Amazon's version of POD... it used to be called Merch by Amazon
Hi Juna, How come you don't have an Etsy store? Great videos, your the best.
Long story short is it just didn't fit the way I wanted to use my time and money..... it's a different shop than I am used to... it works but it's not as passive as I would like.... I think if you like Etsy and all that comes with it you can do well.
It is Very Helpful for me.....! Thank You , Sir.
You are most welcome
I got declined by merchbyAmazon. How do you retry. What are they looking for. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
It's really just luck at this point... I would try again at the beginning of 2023 if I were you
@@DetourShirts Thanks
Thank you for your videos, very useful
You are welcome!
Great info Juna!! Thank you for sharing this. Now that you have other POD sites that you use, is your website linked to all of these? Do you have a video? Who did you use for making your website? After watching this, I'm thinking about other POD sites. Your such a motivator!!!!
My website is not tied to these... I probably should do that. I'm just using Shopify for my DetourShirts.com page.
@@DetourShirts Ok Just trying to figure out which is best Shopify, Printful, Printify for website to POD. Like I said previous, its time to branch out lol.
I had applied for amazon last year, but got rejected. I will try again
Yes keep trying... I hope you get in
Can I add the same design to all the platforms?
Yes you can
1912 Sold in February at Merch by Amazon. I wish I knew how to do that
First step... figure out what people want to buy. Second step.... design something those people would want to buy... Third step... upload 10,000+ of those.
@@DetourShirts that's a lot of designs. I've been rejected by MBA please help to get me on there.
Hi Detour, how much u net per sale on average? I mean after the cut taken by Amazon and after taxes, 1 sales generates how much?
@@rgasta7765 Curious about this also!
Thank you for videos.good job

Hello Juna!
initiate with Merch by Amazon is free or not?
Mech by Amazon is FREE but you need to apply and they need to accept you
@@DetourShirts ok thank you
Can we upload same design on different prints on demand websites?
Yes, you can
Very informative and helpful, God bless!
Glad it was helpful!
@@DetourShirts Amazon merch on demand rejected my application. Any advice? Try again later?
Yes... keep trying... try at different times of the month
@@DetourShirts Can I use my redbubble shop as the website they ask for?
Yes
Your from West Jordan dang kinda rare to find people that live in Utah 😭
Yup... Utah is a nice place... there are actually a lot of RUclipsrs here
Every Teepublic store I've set up has been closed down by the time I click "enter"😢
Yikes... hope you find a POD that works for you
Thank you Juna, that was really interesting.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you so much for your share😍
My pleasure 😊
Great video again 👌
My previous comments was deleted sorry if you think it's spam or something.
All I did is talking about another pod website.
No worries. Thanks for your comment
Hey Juna great vid. What tier do you have to be at in order to get your own store link from Amazon? I’m at the 20K Tier and I do have access to advertising.
Yes.... if you have advertising you should have it... I'll need to check how I did it and make a video
Can I upload the same designs in multiple marketplaces?
Yes... absolutely
Great video as always 🔥🔥🔥
Thank you
Any tips how to get approved by MBA?
Incredibly helpful!!!
Glad it was helpful!
Teespring or Spring never did work for me so we're in the same club.
Yeah... honestly I haven't put much time into it either
I am only interested in the passive print on demand websites
How passive are you talking about?
Can I sell the same design on different platforms?
If it's yours... yes you can
how to finish the shop profile on cafepess?
Ohhhh.... good question I haven't done a CafePress profile in years, sorry..... Maybe a good question for the Facebook Group?
@@DetourShirts thank you anyways i found video on it. sorry i haven't get back to you sooner i have been little under the weather

Since teespring system changed, I think it's now more complicated because we have to market it by ourself.
You are probably right... I rarely get any sales from TeeSpring
For mockup for teespring.
I'll look into it
I uploaded to spreadshirt and still in review a week later.
Weird but it happens
Same. I think they got some problems keeping up with all the designs coming in
I don't know if you will read this but which of these sites am I able to sign up and sell for free for because I heard cafepress is free
All of these are free to sign up. Amazon is the only one that you need to be approved to join but it is still free
@@DetourShirts thank you so much 🤣🤣🤣 and you even got back to me immediately
May I ask out of these 10 have you changed to new ones and also is there another way to earn money that you know that doesn't involve me putting money in
@@DetourShirts Also I forgot to say thanks 🙏 alot for the video lovely video much appreciated
@@DetourShirts Then I have to do some good research, as you said in the video before I open an online store. Many Thanks!
and yet, im trying it. But theres got to be a better way ??
There are lots of ways... this is just the way that I have done it... I would search RUclips to see how others have done it and see if their way matches what you like to do.
Awesome! thank you.
You're welcome!
i am made 3 accounts in red bubble everyone got suspended. i am from pakistan. is country matters??
Ohhhh... I didn't think so but that is a RedBubble company question.
@@DetourShirts Ok Good and Thank You so much
H'ow do you come up with 1,000's of designs
Think of a few everyday and scale them
How can upload all of them in a few time
Well... It did do all of this over night... I've been on Merch by Amazon since 2017 and the other one much longer.... it takes time
Are these all free to upload? Why does Spreadshirt show a negative payout?
They are all free to join... sometimes you could get returns for a negative payout
@@DetourShirts And you need to pay it or just ignore it?
If you truly have a negative payout (it rarely happens) they will take it out of your credit card or bank account which ever is on file
You have 1000 design on redbubble all designs are almost perfect don't you think sales numbers are quite low.
This thing demotivate me.
My designs aren't perfect and I really haven't pushed hard on RedBubble but yes... kind of low.... I hope to do better
I'm on Redbubble and low sales can be demotivating. Just pushing more designs out there.
Your spreadshirt acount is older than me haha
Oh boy... Yeah I've had it for a while
Hello sir my question is
If I have a Copywrite of any design and I want to upload this design on multiple POD sites and then any website blocks my design because of Copywrite law then what should I do ?
make a detailed video on this topic
If it is your design then you can upload to as many POD sites as you want... You probably saw that when I showed my different stores. All of them have a lot of the same designs.
are these sites free to sell on?
Yes
