I have a 12.5' bris inflatable. The aluminum floor are panels that lock together kind of like a pergo floor. How do you bolt things to floor and then get the panels back together? (Assuming the flooring is similar on your model) Also, how do you keep the bilt heads on the lower side from chafing against the rubber keel underneath?
I used flat head stainless Steel M8 Bolts. Just for extra protection I put silicone over the heads and then gorilla tape so nothing could possibly rub. I also used low profile lock nuts on the top with thread locker where the bolts come up through the top of the floor and siliconed around them to keep them waterproof. The lock nuts if tightened well almost go flush against the floor. I did this same method for the steering console, rear bench and seat post. It's a little tricky at first but you can do it pretty easy if you line stuff up and drill the holes with whatever you're mounting as a template. When you put it back together obviously you put the stuff you're going to mount on after the floor is all in. On the rear bench and console I used a larger drill bit on the bottom part of the mounting hole to accommodate the lock nut that secures the bolt. Hopefully this wasn't too confusing. Lemme know if you have anymore questions.
@@handson2022 Im actually only installing one seat now, not enough room to act quickly when a fish hits. I went over how much room I have and this floor plan worked best. I have a lot of weight on the rear, so moving my driver’s seat position and console forward made the most sense to balance the boat.
Excited to see the boat on the water. Thanks for sharing!
It looks amazing
Thank you, it's getting there!

Makes total sense! Thanks so much for the response! Awesome build you're doing!
Looks awesome. How did you decide how far forward to put your seats and console?
