Perfect combination of comfort, reliability, and performance. I'm not a lover of driving so I'm not missing the edge in performance an Audi or BMW may have over the Lexus. I want a nice commuter that can get into traffic quickly when I need it. My 51k 2015 GS350 has met/exceeded expectations in all 3 categories since I bought it in 2018 with 19k. Owned for 5.5 years (4.5 years of driving - thanks chinavirus), bought 1 set of tires at ~35k, change my own oil with Mobil1, replaced battery once, new air filters, average over 26mpg with mix of highway/city. I plan to drive this until I retire in 10 years.
Just bought a used 2013 GS350 with 66000 miles. This is my fifth Lexus I have owned in 14 years. I love em, they are so reliable and never let me down.
@@grandmastagrimm8773Check the car fax, check to see if the price value matches what there offering you. Check the condition under the hood. Test drive it and get a feel for that engine plus the shifting of the transmission preferably with an auto mechanic or with someone you know who has some kinda knowledge with cars. Then make your decision. That’s what I usually do before buying any Lexus.
I have a 2015 GS with some mods. People always compliment my car and are surprised that it's almost 10 years old. Sad that Lexus stop producing them. Thanks for the video.
I have an awd 2014 f-sport in silver with red interior with 94k miles on it. as you said it makes a great commuter car, i have a commute of 90 miles ONE WAY. it just soaks up those miles and loves to cruise at 80mph with no problems. great car, i just wish it had a fold down rear seat instead of the cubby hole opening.
@@ahahuehafook4207I do actually usually drive mine between 70-80 on the highway, the car just loves it. Giving it a slow throttle roll from 50-70 or 90 is probably my favorite sound the car makes, with my tune and resonator delete and intake it just sounds like a miniature V8, but with crazy intake induction noise
I've driven GS450h Premier edition (2013) and absolutely love it, I have to say I don't find the mouse pad that hard to use at all myself although I have heard a lot of complaints about it
TL's are great cars. I've seen some with a ton of miles that run like new, but there's no comparison in interior quality and even if both are awd there's a certain feeling you get from a rwd based platform
Great review…have a 2013 F Sport Obisdian Black with Flaxen interior 140K miles. I’ve had the ES, IS, and 1st and 2nd gen GS300. I agree this 4th gen is the best one out of them. Only issues were replacing CV boots and rear shocks because of rough midwest roads. Keeping it till the wheels fall off😂
Wow! Curious I have a 2013 myself just 88K miles on mine. Are you the original owner? Any work done on the transmission/differential/spark plugs/coolant?
I've had 98 400, 00 400, 01 300, 06 300, 15 350. I loved everyone of them and were all trouble free of any major repairs except my 06. Every other one has been solid. My 98 400 was my favorite, it had black rims before black rims were popular, and slightly lowered. I even named my dog Lexus. I think my next one will be a 20 and keep that one until I can't fix it anymore.
The compartment in the rear could have been filled with a bunch of hvac and seat controls if this one was properly equipped. Lots of cool features in this model if you look at a higher spec
Love my 13 GS ultra luxury , it even came with the night vision option. I also added a CarPlay module which works with the OEM screen and it makes it feel even more modern. It has almost 230k miles now and still drives amazing. Best car I’ve owned, I would buy another one in a heartbeat.
My wife and I just last month bought a 2018 GS 350 with the F sport package. We were replacing her 08 Toyota Yaris which was a completely unkillable machine (331,000 miles and still running great when we donated it), but much too uncomfortable for me to drive as I'm 6' tall. During my car search I wanted something that checked all the boxes: Reliable, sporty, RWD, powerful, more spacious, and comfortable and I truly believe this car nails it. I'm in love with it and I wholeheartedly agree with your review. Great job, glad I found your channel.
Great review, I've owned my 2015 Fsport for about 9 months.. it came with the Cabernet interior, cold climate package, and power closing trunk. With 67k miles, I hope to get many years with it. Your review of the car was spot on. It was both funny and informative. I enjoyed your style.
I have 2013 f sport and I love it just hate the gas mileage but it is what it is. They run past 300k if you keep up with maintenance, I’m sure yall seen the gs with 250k on RUclips
@@the_truth50it’s a drop in the bucket when you consider owning other vehicles that require maintenance all the time. 6 or 7 miles more per gallon isn’t worth it.
I purchased a ‘13 GS 350 with the luxury package with 92K miles on the odometer back in December. I have already put a little over 1K miles on it. It is hands down the nicest car I have ever owned and I plan on keeping it for at least 5-10 years, as I have zero doubt that this car will give me any significant trouble. Great review!
Great review. I own a 2013 GS450h, and have only seen one other on the road. Super-rare & great daily driver, as your review said. 40+MPG on long trips, and 340HP…total wolf in sheep’s clothing. Great cars
I bought a 2014 GS 350 31/2 years ago with 90k miles for $18k. Meteor Blue Mica. Optional 18" rims. Some fool lowered it, and put on an aftermarket air intake. Cost abt $2.5k to make it stock again. Leave them alone, people. lol Changed out the original plugs at 96k, and drained the transmission for 5qts new fluid. It goes faster than you dare push it, anytime. Handles excellent, brakes are at the top of the pedal. It has 99k now, and I'm never going to sell it. Best car I ever owned.
I have a 2012 450h. It's quiet, refined, comfortable, powerful and reliable. It's a very well bolted together machine. It doesn't support Android Auto or Apple CarPlay. But I can live with that. What I won't live with is frequent trips to the shop costing me my shirt, which is why I chose Lexus because the likelihood of those troubles is the smallest with Lexus.
I found my 2015 GS350 AWD with a little over 52k miles! Had it since February 2023 and now it's close to 60k miles at the end of November 2023. Feels like brand new especially after doing all the required maintenance of using full synthetic oil, drain and fill transmission fluid, changed differential fluid, and changed coolant/brake fluid.
Heck, I just bought a 2015 GS 350 with 186k miles and it still drives like a new car. No suspension noise. I was looking for a reliable high mileage car for my wife to get around short distances, and the GS 350 fit what I was looking for perfectly. 👍
I recently purchased a 2015 GS350 F Sport. Ultra White with Cabernet (red) interior. Enjoying it so far. Luxury and (some) performance in one package. The adaptive suspension is nice. Very little lean even under aggressive maneuvering.
Such a great car. Mine is almost 12 years old and I’m keeping it. I was so excited when I bought it new and there is just nothing out there right now that elicits the same feeling in me. My greatest fear is getting something new and missing my GS 350 F-Sport
I love it. One thing I do miss though is my 2017 Civic EX-L. The GS350 is definitely nicer and more luxurious but the Civic just has the light weight/great stability and has some cool features like the remote start, walk-away auto lock, and blind spot camera. A different class of vehicles though.
Just curious, how bad is the gas cost? I know it only takes premium and tends to be a thirsty car, really want to buy one right now but still hesitant on that considering it’d be my first car and I’m not wealthy or anything lol
@@zod548 gas isn’t bad, I say I average 25 mpg. It’s not really thirsty unless you like to smash on the pedal all the time. Ride & comfort is worth the price you pay for a Lexus.
@@Txcowboy80 i appreciate the insight, I don’t plan on commuting too much anyway, I’ve been given a pretty generous budget from my parents and ultimately just getting a reliable car for driving to and from my part time job or watever drives during the school year would be fine , but man this car has sparked my interest with some of the decent prices in my area. The only thing I’ve been contemplating recently is if the gas would cost me too much but I’ve been finding more positive responses than I thought on that regard
Great review. I have a 2019 F Sport . I bought it in 2020 before cars got out of hand to buy. Presently it has 30000 miles. I especially like to take it from NY to Fl on vacation. I have hit 100MPH a few times and you couldn't tell between that and 60. Very smooth and well-planted. It has great sound insulation. Great place to be inside the cabin. I have the Mark Levinson and Triple Beam lights. These lights really dress up the car and give it a great facelift. It is very unusual to see these on the road, never mind one with the triple beams. I like the reliabilty and piece of mind. I change my own oil/filter as well as air filter and cabin filter.
The 3.5 V6 in this GS is actually the 2GR-FSE. The 2GR-FKS was new for 2017 and was mostly used in front wheel drive based Toyotas and the Lexus ES/RX.
I considered the F10 535i before i chose the 4GS350. Previously owned a F10 528i and an E90 330i. Been driving my 2012 4GS350 for about 7 months now and love it to bits. At least i won't get CEL anxiety every time i step into the car haha.
I've been driving a EU spec 2012 GS450h F Sport for around 5 years and it is a really lovely car. That particular car is also specced really well as it has all the mentioned extras such as radar cruise control, 4-wheel steering, power trunk and also the triple LED headlights. 40 MPG is a pipe dream though, just not going to happen. In my experience, with a lot of highway driving, 7-7,5 l/100km or about 31-33 US MPG is the best case scenario. In the winter with cold temperatures and mixed driving it is more like 23-24 MPG. But I think this car shouldn't be viewed upon as an economy car. If you do, you will be disappointed, but on the other hand if you look at it as a luxury (performance) sedan with good fuel economy, it's a whole another story.
I bought a used base 2015 GS 350 yesterday with 187k miles for $13k and it still looks like new on the inside. The outside is rougher , but it's just a car to get around for my wife and kids short distances. Not a killer deal, but the ones with lower miles are like $15k or more, and they are older. Very nice car! I had a 2012 Infiniti m37 that was totalled, so I jumped to Lexus. And yes, I don't buy new cars. I already like the Lexus more than the Infiniti. Thanks for the video. Subscribed 👍. My GS has paddle shifters, so does this mean it's not a base model??
@@BernonCars Yeah not bad at all. It was the cheapest GS 350 in my area and the cheapest ones currently, are like 70 miles away, or in another state. And the interior looks crappy in those more expensive GS ones. $17k with 123k miles and garbage rims on the GS 350, and in another state, is the next one. I think it's a 2014.
Bro awesome and joyful review much appreciated. I was chuckling watching your facial expressions as you drove -you were clearly enjoying the ride. I totally agree with your sentiment on the pre-facelift being your favorite era. They drive with more of an edge than the post facelift and I think look much better. It seems like the 2016+ models were retooled to be more of a classic Lexus style with smoother but less edgy acceleration and handling. The 2015 is commonly thought of as the best year for this generation. I however would vote for my car (clearly there's some prejudice here LOL), which is a 2013 RWD F Sport. I love the 6 speed (2013 was the only year with 6 and not the 8) and the rear wheel drive characteristics of my car (I live in a very warm climate so AWD is not useful for me). I drove a 2015 RWD and it was nice but the 8 speed took so much life out of the car in my opinion. You had to mash the crap out of the gas pedal for it to go fast, and I do not have a heavy foot, plus there was some disconcerting gear hunting at low speeds which I did not enjoy. Only small correction I would make is that the 2013-2015 came with the 2GR-FSE and the '16+ came with the 2GR-FKS.
The facelift version (MY2016) of the 4th gen is the best. With almost every moden tech added but still the car is with a classic and luxurious look and interior.
I love your channel so much, you review all the cars nobody else does, it brought me so much nostalgia seeing the cars my dad owned as a kid, and now cars like this I’m thinking of picking up as a project car, thanks for just being a fun dude an never stop making these entertaining vids!
Own an atomic sliver AWD 15 F sport with 94k. AEM intake, swift lowering springs, Invicta performance exhaust and custom steering wheel by Elvin carbon. Thing is mint and I still love it. I bought in 17 and at the time was a serious purchase for me. Wife said I would have to drive it for 7 years to have it make sense (she’s a financial analyst). It’s been 7 years and I don’t want to sell it and don’t feel like I want a new car with better tech. The quality and reliability of this car makes tech a distant thought…Also I have never seen the second option wheel for the base model on the road once in my life or that stripe on the door panel in the model you tested.😂 #teamlexus
my '15 GS has 77k miles and i would be hard pressed to replace it and be as happy as i am with the GS. I will probably never sell the car. It gets whatever it needs, but it never needs much beyond the usual fluids and brakes. It's a one in a million.
nice job young man, you made me better appreciate my gs350... while I continue to dream of an ISF... and in my dreams, dream of an LC500, and in that dream I fantasize of the LFA.... *wakes up, checks bank balance= sob.*
I love to still see people reviewing this car! I have this exact model in Platinum Silver, but with the Cabernet interior. You mentioned the "red" interior being gaudy, and I agree that the 2016 and newer "Circuit Red" interior is tacky as hell. But the Cabernet is a very tasteful brick-like red, and I spent months searching the internet for either Cabernet or Flaxen interior in my F-Sport as I'm over having black leather interiors. I specifically was searching for a 2015 model as I hated the new full-height "Spindle Grill" of the 2016 redesign despite that model having tons of new safety tech added. Yes, the steering is electric, and I personally wish the parking lot speed steering assist was softer, so you spend less effort sawing back and forth while parking. I think you may not have mentioned the Drive Modes button, which toggles between Eco, Normal, Sport and in the F-Sport model Sport+. Each mode has different accelerator pedal reaction characteristics, transmission shifting behavior and stiffness of the adjustable shocks. That's the one component of the F-Sport package that's more performance-oriented vs the rest of the items in the package just being aesthetic or "extra". You're almost correct that there's not a third HVAC zone for the rear seat. However, there's a not-so-easy to understand "S-FLOW" button on the HVAC control panel that does several things. It toggles sending air to those 2 rear vents in the console. With the S-Flow on, those vents have no airflow. Turning OFF S-Flow (NOT intuitive) allows air to those rear grills, but even then only the front seat occupants can control the temperature. I've never understood what temp the rear folks are getting if the two front occupants are dualling with high and low temps. The S-Flow also controls automatic triggering of the seat heaters for the front seat passengers. There was one other model package you missed, the very rare "Luxury" model. This one has fancier mutli-spoke 19" rims, articulating upper seatbacks for the front seat passengers to adjust for shoulder support, and a comprehensive user interface built into the pull-down armrest to control rear-seat HVAC (so yeah, I guess a 3rd zone?), audio and also added rear seat heaters. Oh, and you mentioned that dual temp system in the front - in my family's 2008 Toyota Highlander there is a dual temp system as well, and there's a physical "SYNC" button so the driver can regain control of the dual temps. However, in the GS you have to wade through several clicks with that horrible mouse you mentioned to find the "DUAL" toggle at the bottom of the HVAC control window. It's the ONE missing physical button I miss the most. Thanks for the thorough and fun-to-watch review!
Thank you for the write up! Ahh yes Circut Red - that’s the one. It was in the 23 IS I just reviewed! Too red! Cabernet is much better. Ahhh my goodness I can’t believe I forgot about those! The controls in the armrest feels so baller haha
hello fellow platinum silver/cabernet red buddy! this was my #1 choice in color combo and was lucky to find it back when i bought my 2014 in 2017. I can't believe how bright circuit red is on the new lexus models. do you have rattles in your car? at 94k miles i had a rattle that sounded like it was coming from the drivers side dash vent, but was actually a rattle from the window controls on the door. you can pop off that entire glossy panel that contains the switches and use a glue gun to glue the 2 panels together (glossy top panel and lower panel which is hidden inside the door). this rattle drove me insane for years until i found a fix for it online! also i think the rear sunshade rattles over bumps. my drivers side view mirror has also stopped moving left-right...reading forums it seems like this is an issue across multiple lexus models where the grease inside the mirror housing on the gears gums up and prevents the mirror from moving. there's a DIY repair to cut up the motor housing and clean the grease...or buy a new mechanism for 500-700 dollars! otherwise it drives great and is very comfortable.
@@christophers.4007 Hey man! Yeah, I was looking for either Platinum Silver/Cabernet or Atomic Silver/Flaxen as my only choices. I would have settled for the Nebula Grey exterior if I had to. I prefer silver to most colors these days. Regarding rattles - I've had a rattle in the sunroof mechanism since the day I test drove the car with only 26,000 miles on it. There was a Technical Service Bulletin on how to repair that problem if presented by the client, and the dealer had to fully disassemble the interior to get at it - above the driver's head. They replaced ONE part of two possible faulty parts, as that's what they told me was Lexus' prescription for this repair. A "newbie" shop tech damaged my door sills using a metal pry bar to remove the plastic sill trim, so after the sunroof repair I complained about the dents in the sill sheet metal on all 4 doors (idiot) and they kept the car another 3 weeks to send it to their "preferred" body shop. SO, after a month of NOT driving my "new to me" car and driving RX-350 loaners, I got my car back and the RATTLE WAS STILL THERE! They said OK we'll now have to do the teardown again and replace that OTHER part.... UGH. This time, someone drove the car under something low-hanging, and mildly damaged the roof, shark fin antenna and trunk lid. It was only a minor scratch, but again, body work, remove the interior trim a third time to access the shark fin attachment points (you can't make this stuff up) and a loaner. This was my Certified Pre-Owned Lexus GS sold to me by one of Massachusetts' FIRST Lexus dealers! Crazy. That second repair seemed to fix the problem - temporarily! Man, that sunroof mechanism is just poorly engineered in that the cable which the motor spools back and forth to slide the sunroof manages to rattle in it's channel, or something like that. The problem still occasionally rears it's ugly head, and as others have stated in forums, it's often on SMOOTH roads. Bizarre. I have definitely heard that obnoxious rattle in the driver's door window control panel, and have also read about it in forums. It mostly rattles when I'm playing loud music with thunderous bass, and that plastic vibrates and pisses me off. I have yet to attempt fixing it. I'll have it all apart one of these days... I have not had problems with my mirrors, thank God. I live in a cold area and always think that's going to eventually be a problem. It's already happened on my wife's much newer '19 Mazda CX-5, and those were replaced under warranty. My Lexus now has 76,000 miles on her.
@@InexplicableBill damn, sucks about the dealer experience. You think you're leaving your car in the hand of experts, but they are sloppy just like anyone else. I've only brought mine to the dealer for the fuel pump recall, otherwise it goes to my trusted independent mechanic. Please repair the rattle from the switches, it makes a world of difference and literally can take 5 minutes or less. Put painters tape on the glossy side around the edges(so you don't accidentally scratch the gloss), then use a plastic pry/trim tool, prying first from where the hand grab is and work your way along the side of the panel towards the dash. Once its off, there is 1 electrical connector to disconnect. Once you have the unit out, you will see how its made of basically 2 rectangles that are snapped together with plastic clips. If you shake it you will see the 2 plastic rectangles have some play.... get a hot glue gun and just put some dabs where they connect to one another. Very simple and makes a huge immediate improvement!
Lol...First thing after collecting the car I was like. . . where the hell's the DUAL button....Impossible. . . . .🤔 But the car is so damned reliable and good sounding . . . . with one of the widest arm rests in any car . . . that all is forgiven
Currently have a 2016 fsport rwd and I love it. My IS 250 was my first car from 16-24, but this is the next level of refinement and I’m ready to do some more mods a like with my IS.
Great review. Was going to grab a 2015 GS350 but ended up with a 2012 LS460 due do it being a great deal and family friend/1 owner. Love the size and elegance of my LS460, but still want one of these badly!
This was a great review , and I’m genuinely considering picking one of these up but I’m 6’3 (and the people I plan on occasionally giving rides to are fairly tall as well) and that’s the only thing that’s holding me back from committing to purchasing it
Yeah, I'm 6'-0. my wife 5'-10, son #1 is 6'-3 and son #2 is 6'-5 and it's all legs... It's a struggle taking this car anywhere as a family. It's best used for in-town trips with this clan such as going out to dinner, and we're perfectly fine with that. It just requires some planning to get the shortest legs behind the longest. We use our high-mileage '08 Highlander for road trips to avoid misery. That thing has so much legroom in the second row it's impressive. The Highlander's 2nd row seats, however, are flat AF, though at least the seatbacks recline.
I picked up a 2013 f sport about a month back. I’m 6’3” and I manage myself and another similar sized passenger just fine. If you plan on shorter drives, below 45 minutes with multiple people of that size, it’ll be tight but it’ll be doable. But this is a midsized sedan, so you shouldn’t expect tons of room. I opted for it over the IS350 simply because it is a bit bigger. Tbh doesn’t really show it in the corners though.
@@bteeman2758 thank you so much. Just kinda waiting for prices to dip a little bit in my area then I’ll get one, I can’t wait. and yea the is350 was on my first option too , such a great car but it sucks that its so small 😂,
I own a 450H President and It is fabulous! It takes a little getting used to the gearbox being a CVT but it is very very fast and at the same time economical. Mine is fully loaded, originally ordered by the dealer as demo-car and I can't think of another car to buy that would fulfill my demands, considering in my opinion there isn't anything as reliable.
I own a 4th gen GS350 and a 2nd gen GS400. The 2nd gen is the best gen. Driving them back to back makes you appreciate the solidity of the old Lexus build quality. Modern Lexus and Toyotas are built kinda cheap like their peers.
What options do you have for controlling music from your phone? Are you pretty much stuck handling your phone? Are there any music apps installed? Also, how much more expensive is it to maintain a 2WD GS compared to an ES350?
I didn't know the snow mode split the wheel power 50/50 I looked for 6 months and found a 14 gs.350 awd with only 29k on in perfect condition four years ago and still love it!

I have a 2014 350 awd with some options and packages the downside I will say if your front differential is leaking (which only hold a quart of differential fluid) be prepared to pay 7k for a new front differential if it fails… mine didn’t give any signs of front differential failure when the Lexus technician test drove it but it was
Yeah, Toyota needs to figure out a means of notifying when diff levels drop! Our '08 Highlander just lost it's front diff at 238K miles, and we were quoted $4,500 for a USED diff, $5,500 for new. At this age and mileage, the car is basically totaled even though we just put over $4K into it for tires, brakes, suspension components and motor mounts and a nice aftermarket stereo system for the college kiddo. We lost the transmission in this car at 165K miles for the same reason - main seal failure, seeping gear oil. On several occasions over the years I asked my Toyota dealer to look into the wet (trans fluid) outer case of the trans and diff - "normal seepage" they said. Always paid for their high priced "factory" service, and ended up with the shaft when these failures happened way beyond the factory warranty. If I had the time I'd sue my dealer for negligence as their neglect of checking these fluid levels during their "Multi-point check" during oil changes was missing. Toyota and Lexus vehicles are definitely reliable, but when they do fail, they do so SPECTACULARLY!
@@InexplicableBill oh man I am very sorry to hear your experience with your highlander and if i was in your shoes I would agree if I had the time I would try and sue! WhAt was the point of the multipoint inspection to say a serious leak was normal seepage. I am exactly like you always paid for the dealership prices for all fixes and all records are through my Lexus dealership; if you have the documentation I would definitely try and sue then. BINGOOOO I AGREE 100% TOYOTA AND LEXUS can be reliable but when they do they’re more expensive than Germans in my opinion
There's more than two trims. The Luxury Package actually cost more than the F-Sport package! The Luxury package features the 18" Spoked wheels and a lot more luxury features. It is far from the base spec haha!
There's three trims not two. Base, Luxury and Fsport. The Luxury is a fully loaded model while the base is a barebones option. The luxury model can be had with the upgraded Semi analine leather and can be optioned with Variable adaptive suspension just like the Fsport.
@Bern on Cars dude, he handed me the keys, said have fun and we'll see you soon. I Said WHAT?! He puts the plate on and says," see ya soon. Have fun." I just kinda sat there for a second🤣🤣 But holy shit is this thing mean for a lil sedan. My first car and daily driver has been a 2017 Chevy Cruze, so this has actually blown my mind.
Just got myself the 2015 base version with navigation and loving it. Such a smooth ride. Only complaint is the mpg does suck but that’s the price you pay for a V6 with AWD
@@BernonCars yea I was really debating whether to get the F Sport version but the ride quality and the seats are more comfortable on the base so I decided to go with that.

You forgot about the GSF. It's different than the F sport and it has a V8. Only available for 5 model years though. 2016-2020. 3:59 Yeah, not to mention that fix-a-flat crap ruins your TPMS sensor in that wheel. So that's another $100-200 to replace.
This had the 2GR-FSE in the earlier years making 306 bhp, whereas the 2GR-FKS in the later years made 311. The luxury package on the base gives you those 18 inch wheels with the fancier spokes going on and adds tons of creature comforts. I just got a 2013 RWD with that package and it's incredible - even has Sport+ mode with the AVS without being an F Sport. Had an Acura TL and Infiniti G37x before that. Will probably just get a 2020 GS if this one ever dies. Great review and channel

Nice! What an excellent ride. It'll last you forever!
Just bought a used 2013 GS350 with 66000 miles. This is my fifth Lexus I have owned in 14 years. I love em, they are so reliable and never let me down.
got one with 78k miles, over 30 dealer service records, loved it right up until the ballast went out.
Very nice! What a sweet ride 🤙🏾
What do you think about a 2014 with 75k miles for 20k?? 2 owner vehicle
How much was it ?
I have a 2015 GS with some mods. People always compliment my car and are surprised that it's almost 10 years old. Sad that Lexus stop producing them. Thanks for the video.
They are such timeless vehicles!
What mods you got? I just installed an AFE Takeda Intake and the sound is awesome.
I have an 09 gs450h and same i get compliments from alot of people mostly old people more
Was Mods did you make
I have an awd 2014 f-sport in silver with red interior with 94k miles on it. as you said it makes a great commuter car, i have a commute of 90 miles ONE WAY. it just soaks up those miles and loves to cruise at 80mph with no problems. great car, i just wish it had a fold down rear seat instead of the cubby hole opening.
Nice!! My goodness one way LOL. You chose the perfect car for such a commute!
AWD w/ the 6 speed seems to get better milage and rpms at 69-75mph
Same brother. Wish the damn seats folded down so I can hear my subs better.
@leebooker6138 you have mark Levinson. If so get audioquest dragonfly. The system comes alive. Have 2 12s in my LS F sport. Ridiculously loud
It is 2023 and I am looking at this very year and model. Love this car!
They’re fantastic!
I've driven GS450h Premier edition (2013) and absolutely love it,
I have to say I don't find the mouse pad that hard to use at all myself although I have heard a lot of complaints about it
My previous car was a 13 Acura TL & I FEEL the GS 350 is a huge upgrade ! I'm blown away whenever I can open the engine up
Nice! I like those TL’s too! AWD?
TL's are great cars. I've seen some with a ton of miles that run like new, but there's no comparison in interior quality and even if both are awd there's a certain feeling you get from a rwd based platform
Great review…have a 2013 F Sport Obisdian Black with Flaxen interior 140K miles. I’ve had the ES, IS, and 1st and 2nd gen GS300. I agree this 4th gen is the best one out of them. Only issues were replacing CV boots and rear shocks because of rough midwest roads. Keeping it till the wheels fall off😂
Thank you! Ouuu I love the Flaxen. What a beauty. Haha right, such a perfect all rounder
Envy your Flaxen interior. I looked and looked....
I have a 2013 with 248,000 miles on it still rides like day 1 🎉❤🎉
Sweeeeeeet!!!
Wow! Curious I have a 2013 myself just 88K miles on mine. Are you the original owner? Any work done on the transmission/differential/spark plugs/coolant?
I have a 2020 F sport. I too love this car. Solid, comfortable, great looking, great performance. A definite classic.
Nice! I totally agree. Cheers!
Mine's is coming up on 9 years old now and at 61k miles. Definitely becoming a classic! Still feels like new.
Nice! Wish they still made it. I wish you many more years of enjoying GS's!
About a year ago I picked up a 2013 AWD GS 350 with only 20k miles. So far it has been an awesome daily driver.
Very nice!
Nice!! I have a '15 GS350 FSport with 73k. I love it!!
The compartment in the rear could have been filled with a bunch of hvac and seat controls if this one was properly equipped. Lots of cool features in this model if you look at a higher spec
Ahh yes in the Ultra Luxury! I can’t believe I forgot about those but thank you for reminding me! 😂
My luxury model has controls on the rear armrest.
Love my 13 GS ultra luxury , it even came with the night vision option. I also added a CarPlay module which works with the OEM screen and it makes it feel even more modern.
It has almost 230k miles now and still drives amazing. Best car I’ve owned, I would buy another one in a heartbeat.
@@Knightfall23 a local audio shop quoted me for $1100 on the carplay module. How much did you pay?
@@LexusJDM350 I bought the kit online from beat sonic for like 800$ and installed it myself in a few hours.
One of the best Lexus GS videos available. You present brilliantly. Good luck with your channel. Cheers.
Thank you very much!!
Nice that's a helluva upgrade! Haha. Thanks for stopping by!!
Great review, I've owned my 2015 Fsport for about 9 months.. it came with the Cabernet interior, cold climate package, and power closing trunk. With 67k miles, I hope to get many years with it.
Your review of the car was spot on. It was both funny and informative. I enjoyed your style.
Thank you! Oooh nice, love the Cabernet. Thank you for watching!
That is excellent! They really are so nice. Thanks for stopping by!
Great review. I own a 2013 GS450h, and have only seen one other on the road. Super-rare & great daily driver, as your review said. 40+MPG on long trips, and 340HP…total wolf in sheep’s clothing. Great cars
Thank you! That’s dope! I’d love to review a 450h one day. Enjoy it!!
Very nice ride! I hope you enjoy!
Bro your channel is great and you should be proud of yourself
Thank you very much!!
Great video sir i agree with you they are great daily drivers and a great car overall. I got to drive the GS-F and that thing was nuts!!! 5.0 V8 !!!
Thank you sir! I wanna drive a GS F again sometime.
@@BernonCars Oh GS-F along with the LC500 are both excellent cars. I had the pleasure of driving both at a track doing 120mph lol it was excellent...
Nice!! What an excellent car
Hi, Do this model come with air suspension?
@@Mr921kevin no I don’t believe so.
Heck, I just bought a 2015 GS 350 with 186k miles and it still drives like a new car. No suspension noise. I was looking for a reliable high mileage car for my wife to get around short distances, and the GS 350 fit what I was looking for perfectly. 👍
@@Mr921kevinI don't think so, and I personally wouldn't want that. More headaches down the road. Unless you change your cars frequently. I don't 😅
I recently purchased a 2015 GS350 F Sport. Ultra White with Cabernet (red) interior. Enjoying it so far. Luxury and (some) performance in one package. The adaptive suspension is nice. Very little lean even under aggressive maneuvering.
Very nice! Great spec
Such a great car. Mine is almost 12 years old and I’m keeping it. I was so excited when I bought it new and there is just nothing out there right now that elicits the same feeling in me. My greatest fear is getting something new and missing my GS 350 F-Sport
Nice! Definitely a keeper. Enjoy it!!
I love it. One thing I do miss though is my 2017 Civic EX-L. The GS350 is definitely nicer and more luxurious but the Civic just has the light weight/great stability and has some cool features like the remote start, walk-away auto lock, and blind spot camera. A different class of vehicles though.
Much more comfortable than a 5 series or E-class. And more reliable.
I agree!
Just got a 2014 with 76k miles. Feels so solid, interior is perfect. So happy with my purchase.
I have a 2013 w/43k miles. Feels, looks and rides like a 2023 $50k car.
Damn, you guys with the near new shit 😂
Still own my 2023 F sport 10yrs of ownership. Ready to take it in for my 60k service. Great car

Thank you! Very nice, it’ll last you a lifetime!!
The 3.5 V6 in this GS is actually the 2GR-FSE. The 2GR-FKS was new for 2017 and was mostly used in front wheel drive based Toyotas and the Lexus ES/RX.
Ahhhh my goodness so many variations 😂
You should have pop up the hood and there is a sticker that printed FSE@@BernonCars
Agreed. I have the 2GR-FSE on my 2013 GS rear wheel drive.
I considered the F10 535i before i chose the 4GS350. Previously owned a F10 528i and an E90 330i. Been driving my 2012 4GS350 for about 7 months now and love it to bits. At least i won't get CEL anxiety every time i step into the car haha.
LOL right, such a more relaxed experience 😂
@@BernonCars Definitely.....blood pressure also went down hahahaha
Ohh woww very nice! We never get the cool options stateside
Not bad! It'll be a solid ride for you guys thats for sure. Thanks man!
Thank you very much!! Haha it's such an enjoyable car to drive. I think about buying one sometimes
I bought a 2015 GS F sport with 93,000 miles for $18,100. It’s a nice car!
Sweeet!! Good deal, I hope you enjoy it!!
Where and when? That sounds like a great deal.
The facelift version (MY2016) of the 4th gen is the best. With almost every moden tech added but still the car is with a classic and luxurious look and interior.
Def not. The 2013-2015 are definitely the way to go unless all you care about is having the "nicest and latest tech"
Great review! Almost exactly how I feel. So happy I choose the GS350 AWD Fsport
Thank you sir! Seriously a top choice and it’ll give you hundreds of thousands of miles

Im so glad!! Yeah these are the best!! Absolutely!!
I realized the interior does still share a lot in common with the 3rd gen GS mainly the back area. Overall good review.
Thank you!
Love the review sir. You have discerning taste & class. Keep up the good work.
I appreciate that!!
Nice thats a sweet setup man!! There really is nothing to complain about with them!
I have a 2014 Lexus GS 350 base model and I love it! It’s so sad they don’t make them anymore.
It is a shame!
my '15 GS has 77k miles and i would be hard pressed to replace it and be as happy as i am with the GS. I will probably never sell the car. It gets whatever it needs, but it never needs much beyond the usual fluids and brakes. It's a one in a million.

Thank you much! Haha I'm glad, the 350 is still great!!

Great review. Was going to grab a 2015 GS350 but ended up with a 2012 LS460 due do it being a great deal and family friend/1 owner. Love the size and elegance of my LS460, but still want one of these badly!
Thank you! I loove the LS 460, such a baller sedan. The V8 is sooo nice
This was a great review , and I’m genuinely considering picking one of these up but I’m 6’3 (and the people I plan on occasionally giving rides to are fairly tall as well) and that’s the only thing that’s holding me back from committing to purchasing it
Thank you! Yeah the size is a hindrance for sure
Just kinda waiting for prices to dip a little bit in my area then I’ll get one, I can’t wait. and yea the is350 was on my first option too , such a great car but it sucks that its so small 😂,
Proud owner of a 2017 GS350 AWD. Great car!
Nice! Hopefully one day I'll try out a 450H!
I own a 4th gen GS350 and a 2nd gen GS400. The 2nd gen is the best gen. Driving them back to back makes you appreciate the solidity of the old Lexus build quality. Modern Lexus and Toyotas are built kinda cheap like their peers.
I love the 2nd Gen! They really are solid drivers
What options do you have for controlling music from your phone? Are you pretty much stuck handling your phone? Are there any music apps installed? Also, how much more expensive is it to maintain a 2WD GS compared to an ES350?
There's a mode for CarPlay but it's a few hundred bucks! I feel like the ES will be cheaper to maintain, but I don't know the reason why LOL
I didn't know the snow mode split the wheel power 50/50
I looked for 6 months and found a 14 gs.350 awd with only 29k on in perfect condition four years ago and still love it!
Yeah man! Very nice!!
did you drive it in sport mode right? cause of the sound
I did! Yeah makes the sound deeper
Found a 2019 AWD FSport with only 56k Love it! A dream to drive does the luxury better than a 5 series to me
Oooo very good find! Yeah much better
Great video. Well researched. Love the tiny differences between the different speced vehicles.
Thank you! Im glad you liked it!
The best Lexus I’ve owned and I’ve had a few…love the GS. Too bad they have been discontinued.
Got a second gen right now. Been saving to get a 4th gen. Just waiting on one to come thru the dealership I work at. Didn’t know they discontinued them, definitely not hesitating when one does come thru
Awesome review. Keep up the awesome reviews. Appreciate your work.
Thank you I certainly will!!
Loved my 2 4GS and 2nd gen but the GS460 was my favorite out of all the ones I owned
I’d love to try out a 460!
That one is also the best looking one , the grille on the newer ones is over the top
I’m agree!
I absolutely love my 2015 GS 350 and she looks just like the one you drove, but with tan leather. Some days I feel like I’m driving a motorcycle but instead it’s a super nice luxury sedan. 😅🫶🏽
Nice I love the tan interior! They’re so nice!
VERY informative review. Thank you.
Glad it was helpful! Thank you much!
hi,between your Volvo and your experience with Lexus, which brand is more reliable? I was considering the GS 350 and the S80. Thanks!
That is such a good comparison. The Lexus is definitely more reliable, but the V8 in the S80 is very solid as well. Such a hard decision!
I have a 2013--love the sexy led lighting in the door panels at night!
Nice!!!
Great review Bern. Good looking car with a great sound track. I have several Ford Trucks and a 4 Runner and they all ride like trucks so I was looking for a sporty, peppy 4 door sedan that would give me a smooth ride and be fun to take on long interstate trips. I need sell a few trucks and find me a GS like this one.
Thank you! Definitely recommend getting one of these! So so nice
This is the one am in the hunt for😅😅😅...the prices are pretty high though like the price of a IS350 F sport..😅😅
Nice review bro...
Much blessings 🙌
Thank you! Yeah bro definitely try to go for a GS! Good luck!!
How’s the supensions on these? Is it smooth enough over bumpy roads?
Takes bumps pretty well! Feels very solid
Great review brother. I have a 2013 and love it.
Thank you! Cheers!
Just picked up a 2015 F Sport, RWD, (Obsidian/Cabernet), yesterday, with 96K on the odo, and could NOT be happier with that choice. OMG!!! The drive home was SURREAL! This sexy bitch ain't EVER leaving me! Thx for the video!
Ooo good catch!! Thank you!!
Mine is a 2019 F-Sport. Love it.
Excellent!!
I have a 2014 350 awd with some options and packages the downside I will say if your front differential is leaking (which only hold a quart of differential fluid) be prepared to pay 7k for a new front differential if it fails… mine didn’t give any signs of front differential failure when the Lexus technician test drove it but it was
My goodness, yeah that's absurd
At how many miles did the diff go out ?
I just ordered one...thanks. 2015 with 56k miles
Good choice!!
Great review… I’m looking to get a 2014-2015 f sport
Nice, thank you!!
I own a 2015 GS F Sport. Love it, would only upgrade to the new GX550 or LC500 one day :)
Nice!!
There's more than two trims. The Luxury Package actually cost more than the F-Sport package! The Luxury package features the 18" Spoked wheels and a lot more luxury features. It is far from the base spec haha!
Ohhh good to know!!
Great review.
Thank you!
Love my 2019 RWD!!
Got the 450 instead hope I won’t miss the fun , coming from 2010 IS250
450 has more power! I’ve never driven one!
There's three trims not two. Base, Luxury and Fsport. The Luxury is a fully loaded model while the base is a barebones option. The luxury model can be had with the upgraded Semi analine leather and can be optioned with Variable adaptive suspension just like the Fsport.
Ahhhh interesting. Thanks for the note! I knew there had to be a Lux trim
There's a 2014 with 156k miles im about to check out tomorrow. What should I be looking for and what should I be alarmed about?
Honestly not much to go wrong with these! I’d at least check leaks, any rubber hoses, and suspension, like noticing if it clunks at all and such
@Bern on Cars dude, he handed me the keys, said have fun and we'll see you soon.
Love your video I have the non f sport with a tune, axle back exhaust and cold air intake! Boutta put some bc coil overs in to finish her up for now
Nice!!!
These are great. Gotta get RWD though.
I wanna try the RWD! I hear it’s pretty different
Just got myself the 2015 base version with navigation and loving it. Such a smooth ride. Only complaint is the mpg does suck but that’s the price you pay for a V6 with AWD
Nice, sweeeeeet car. Yeah smiles per gallon for sure 😂
@@BernonCars yea I was really debating whether to get the F Sport version but the ride quality and the seats are more comfortable on the base so I decided to go with that.
How bad is the gas cost? I know it only takes premium and tends to be a thirsty car, really want to buy one right now but still hesitant on that considering it’d be my first car and I’m not wealthy or anything lol
@@zod548 Well if you get one def let me know cuz im think of getting this as my first car as well lol
@@mr.potatohead3870 bet
One of the most timeless sedans of all time. It will be missed indeed. Should I get one for my next car??
You totally should!!
You forgot about the GSF. It's different than the F sport and it has a V8. Only available for 5 model years though. 2016-2020.
3:59 Yeah, not to mention that fix-a-flat crap ruins your TPMS sensor in that wheel. So that's another $100-200 to replace.
I saw a glimpse of the hypersilver chrome wheels. Impossible to fix scratches on them…
bro you do such a good job reviewing cars lol
Thank you! Haha
Thank you for the note! Woww good find! Enjoy it!!
excellent review ,Thank you👍
My pleasure! Thank you!
4:15 I have a 2015 crafted line GS. It came with the power lift trunk.
Nice!
How do you know if it's a crafted line
They simply allowed the Camry and ES 350 to get to close to the GS in terms of power and tech, and left the GS to languish behind
Unfortunately true
Very true. The new ES doesn’t stack up to the GS sedan at all. The ES is not RWD
You're an awesome reviewer
I appreciate that!!
This will be my next ride !
Lets go!!
The 18” nine-spoke wheels are exclusive to the Luxury package. Not base models.
I have a low kilometer GS 430 I heard you mention you had one.. thinking of upgrading to 2014 GS35O F. 2: wheel drive.. what would you have? Old or New?
I would have the GS 350! The features and comfort is a plus but the driving experience is much more fun in the new
@@BernonCars Hi Bernon.what about the performance of the engine compared to the V8. I would miss the sound and the hifi in the 350 f is it as good as the 430.,?
