Also noticed that. Great driving by him and nice chassis setup

Why steer when you can just use The Force.

I reckon he'll make it to F1 one day. He'll probably win a few championships too.

why does the lightest weight driver in the field have a carbon fiber floor tray?

Because it might possibly affect things other than the weight, such as the rigidity of the front part of the frame?
That said, I'm only answering by speculation, I'm not personally familiar with the spare parts and setup of Kart Republic (or any other brands really).

@@theRaceBox its a kevlar plate and has the upside of being way more lightway then a steel sheet.
to answer hte guys above question.
The KR Chassis is one if not the lightest available thanks to this kevlar plate and othere things.
if the kevlar has also an influence on the rigidity I dont know but I would assume know cause your not really screw it that strongly onto the frame usually with some rubber inbetween to.
and extra for antonelli an extra steel sheet so he doesnt need as much weights elsewhere is probably not the most financial intelligent desicion xD.

@@omadta5798 this might be a reasoning for someone overweight but not for a driver in this category who has already 5-10kg of lead on him.
Also, rigidity changes massively based on what material you use for the floor, how you mount the seat, and of course what kind of torsion bars you use. Even if your rear bumper is tight or loose.

@@theRaceBox well I know all that besides the floor. Ive never heard or saw someone change there floor to get a better setup. is that a thing in the OK categories?
are there other chassis with a different floor, from my inspection i do there all the same except the KR kevlar floor no?
and Id say the benefit of a lighter plate and therefore more room to play w9itht he weight distribution changes more in the setup.
Would be very interesting to hear Chiesas thaughts on this
