Kirby Super Star is a consolidation of eight Kirby games in one. Since most of the games must be completed to reach the credits, this movie is fairly long.
The author, nitsuja, controls both players when applicable rather than letting the CPU operate the helper.
For those interested, the obsoleted movie uses only one controller. This accounts for the large time difference between the two movies.

Before anyone asks, this TAS is from 2005. It's one of the oldest non-obsoleted movies on TASVideos. RTA has long surpassed this TAS over the years.
This is just a re-encode with a 4k resolution at 60fps.
Wow, you'd think such a popular game wouldn't not get a new TAS in the last ~15 years.

@@Recon-cv1fe Dunno, just look at the Castlevania games. They're pretty lengthy as well but get a new TAS almost on a monthly basis. I think there's just not enough people interested in Kirby Super Star.
@@Recon-cv1fe People have made much, MUCH longer and complex TAS runs than this within the last 15 years. I don't think it's a stretch to be surprised there isn't a new one.

Fun Fact: In boss fights like Dynablade and Meta Knight. Using your wheelie (no helper) drive towards the edge of the arena and hold B as your get closer (try not to get hit) then when you reach the edge of the arena let go of all buttons. This will cause wheelie Kirby to become and all mighty god that is immortal and gives rapid damage to enemies

As a viewer, I would love to see a "No Wheel" category for Kirby TASes like this game.

Funny cuz this game is my childhood, and I was born in 2001. The nes and snes emulator were the only games I knew when I was a child, and I did not have internet. It was awesome

This game, man..., reminds me of my elementary school moments. Back in 2007-2011 I used to play outside a lot, and when there's a rain, I hurry back to go home, turn on my computer, and then play this game. Along with the Megaman X series, the Donkey Kong series, Prince of Persia... nostalgia hit me so hard 🥲

Great run, first one that came up for me and I'm watching for the music, but enjoy the skill too.
I've played this game for 28 years and never knew you could shoot stars while riding the wheel.

They are exactly as powerful as a star exhaled by Kirby, but limitless and way faster than you can obtain any item to spit out at enemies!

I like TAS videos that show off how fast to beat games, but this one must be any%. I would have preferred the 100%.
for me, I always grab crash before foolooloo and faalaalaa in spring breeze. it takes a bit to fire, but they die in one hit.
Even in the credits for Meta Knight's Revenge, Kirby rides Wheelie.

this game reminds me of that japanese game. can't excactly remember the game and i don't no how to even so much as spell it lol. but i remember on listening to it the tas for it is 4 minutes long or something. brilliant game though that one. this one reminds me of it.
