- I have come across building websites with WIX.
Their website builder does offer a lot of bells and whistles and a lot of options. And for that reason, it can get a little confusing for your average business owner.
But, you might be asking yourself, will SEO and search engine optimization a website built on the WIX rank well on Google.
And you also might be asking yourself, how exactly do you optimize it for your particular business.
Well in this quick video, I'm going to show you the very basics of SEO on the Wix website builder. All of this can be used no matter the business that you're in whether it's asphalt paving, junk removal, Carpet Cleaning, or just about anything else.

Thank you very much for this info. I was wondering, does it matter if I have “heading 5” followed by “paragraph 2”?
This is for a section down near the bottom of my main page. Thanks
Valuable info. This covers the on page SEO but what tactics do you recommend for off page SEO?
Press release, business listing citations, and building out high-quality backlinks.
Is it better to have it all on one long page like that or several pages????
Yes. I would. Good content on the first page. I would also add at least 5 service pages so that the Google Business Profile connected to the website will show up for different searches people make. For example with asphalt paving... service page for driveway paving, parking lot paving, asphalt repairs, sealcoating, asphalt striping, and things like that.
Great advice, thanks
Great info, thanks.
I rank between 1-10 in 35 cities with a Weekly site. I am currently building a new site on Wix because Weebly is going down the tube.... but I did it with Weebly and everyone said I couldn't, so I'm sure I can with Wix!
Did you manage to do it with Wixx ?
@@lightavabel279 I haven't put any time in on the website because I've been busy with other things. Last time I was using Wix it wouldn't really do what I wanted it to so I might give Godaddy a try. If that don't work, I'll go back to Weebly for a few years. I'm picky and want certain things, that's why my sites rank... most website builders aren't used to picky people.
@@lightavabel279 I have since went back to Wix and have started making a site. I just had to learn how a few things worked. The first 7 pages look great, several more to go. Then I have to go to work on the back side. I'd say at this point, unless something drastic happens, I'm a Wix guy.
