I've had a Wix website since 2017 and I couldn't understand stuff such as Google A/Cs etc. So I'm looking back at what I did then which achieved about 20% of the basic SEO. This is much better, basic is complete, installed a favicon, revise and refine the site templates/descriptions that appear on Google................ etc - move on to the advanced stuff. Crystal clear. Thank you. The advanced stuff differs a little from this video. Some of the "Copy/paste" for the page title and paragraph doesn't work so that's doing it "hand shandy". Going on to "structured markup" for rich results doesn't follow this vid at all, maybe it's out of date because Google and RUclips change this from time to time, Wix shoved a load of stuff onto G-suite and Google re-jigged it's use of AI substantially at the beginning of 2023. I can't get a markup code from Wix, refers me to an outside source which then can't supply anything valid from the options. It's likely Wix will update tutorials like this. Right now I'm not bothered. The basic SEO has shifted my website dramatically (Top of the league!) and Google still hasn't crawled it for some of the minor changes I've made so I'll wait anyway. I'll decide a bit later if I want to ask a Wix guy to take a look or maybe I can figure out some appropriate code without blowing anything up. The major thing for me now is to launch a RUclips ad, keep an eye on it with Google ads etc and do a blog.......... in order to take over the world with my cosmic empire. What I've had out of this article is terrific, I think it may now be a little out of date for the advanced stuff - which Wix recommends is for the capable and competent only..........not sure how to get a markup code.

Submitting your website by Publishing is a great place to start getting Google to notice some new changes. Indexing can take 24-72 hours. You can speed this process up by submitting your website to Google Search Console.
That answer isn’t truly comprehensive. While publishing and updating your Google search console may be immediate on your end, Google reindexes your site on their timeline. Also your ultimate ranking has to do with how relevant your site is, how much competition there is for those keywords etc.

Hey try exiting your editor and re opening it back up - deleting your markups should be easy - but you should have a site markup by default which you should keep

But when people search for services near our second location, Google's showing details from our main office instead. Even ditched the canonical tag on the second office page, no luck. Should I slip in this code under the local business data on the second location's homepage? Hoping it'll fix this mix-up and give the second spot the spotlight it deserves. Any thoughts? Hey great seo question - what I'd recommend is to add a local business markup under advanced SEO for each business - each page should have its own local business markup - this should start letting Google search understand which business to recommend - hope this helps 😇

Great question, use your branding name for your website landing page and store page however when it comes to your wix product SEO be sure to be make sure your projects are named exactly what a user would type in to find that product. No branding. Hope this helps :)

If you'd like to provide nation wide (US or Canada) or UK for example, i'd recommend setting your website to E-Commerce or Online instead of labeling a city specially within the SEO Title. Not one really searched "Clothing usa" for example, thus it's best to create a unique SEO title that's not specific to one exact location and let Google handle the rest.

I can copy and paste to a document on my laptop.. but not into the seo window in my editor.....😥 I keep getting a notice that "HTML tags can only be added at the start and end of the json-ld script"... Hey girl thanks for the comment, Within your Wix dashboard to go your Blog on the left hand side, once there you'll notice a gear box (settings) tab, click it. You'll at this point scroll down to blog seo and make sure AMP is turned on! (Accelerated Mobile Pages) this will be huge for your wix blog plus everything you see here is a bonus - thanks for watching
Hey yes great question, name your pages - the title of each page within your editor is what will fall under your main domain link on Google search Homepage title - page name - page name - page name Sometimes you may just want to keep names simple such as about, contact, products etc

In Robots meta t ag, what do you do there? I see noindex, nofollow, nosnippet. I have no idea what these mean.
You'll want to copy and paste my meta tags example which can be found pinned comments. Add them by clicking add new meta tags within your dashboard - marketing and seo - seo tools - page seo - add new tag

Hi Alin, firstly great video, thank you. One question please, My company name is shown in the header on all pages, should this be an H1? I have an H1 on all separate pages but not sure about my company name in the header as I know you should only have 1 H1 per page. Any help or advice would be grateful. Thank you

@@olegaizin9732 so if you hide it from the menu it will still show up on search results, if you hide it from search it will not show up on search results or analytics - within your wix editor click on the terms and conditions page you have - under general you can hide from menu and under seo you can hide it from search - your call on how you want your wix website showing on Google search :)

Hey try exiting your editor and re opening it back up - deleting your markups should be easy - but you should have a site markup by default which you should keep
Awesome video! Quick question: I set up separate homepages for different office locations, each with its own local business structure. But when people search for services near our second location, Google's showing details from our main office instead.
Even ditched the canonical tag on the second office page, no luck. Should I slip in this code under the local business data on the second location's homepage? Hoping it'll fix this mix-up and give the second spot the spotlight it deserves. Any thoughts?

Hey great seo question - what I'd recommend is to add a local business markup under advanced SEO for each business - each page should have its own local business markup - this should start letting Google search understand which business to recommend - hope this helps 😇

Great question, use your branding name for your website landing page and store page however when it comes to your wix product SEO be sure to be make sure your projects are named exactly what a user would type in to find that product. No branding. Hope this helps :)

Could I put Nation wide for address so customers would see that I sell to everyone? Or should I just put city and state?
If you'd like to provide nation wide (US or Canada) or UK for example, i'd recommend setting your website to E-Commerce or Online instead of labeling a city specially within the SEO Title. Not one really searched "Clothing usa" for example, thus it's best to create a unique SEO title that's not specific to one exact location and let Google handle the rest.

Is there a reason that the markup won't "paste", into my wix adv-seo window?? I can copy and paste to a document on my laptop.. but not into the seo window in my editor.....😥 I keep getting a notice that "HTML tags can only be added at the start and end of the json-ld script"... I am trying to type it in manually......

Hey girl thanks for the comment, Within your Wix dashboard to go your Blog on the left hand side, once there you'll notice a gear box (settings) tab, click it.
You'll at this point scroll down to blog seo and make sure AMP is turned on! (Accelerated Mobile Pages) this will be huge for your wix blog plus everything you see here is a bonus - thanks for watching

Hey yes great question, name your pages - the title of each page within your editor is what will fall under your main domain link on Google search

Sometimes you may just want to keep names simple such as about, contact, products etc
