  • A visit to Hopton Quarry which boasts a varied collection of orchids in mid-season but this was early season so would their rarest of orchids, the nationally rare Burnt Tip Orchid be showing up just yet ?

    Well done, I've never seen one and don't know of any in our area here up North.

      I think Derbyshire is the extreme northern edge of their range.

    Please consider if it's in the best interests of the fragile orchid population there to have it's location posted on social media.

      Rest assured, consideration was made and is always made with all of my videos. The location of the Burnt Tip Orchid(s) was not revealed in the video ..... indeed I deliberately did not film the detailed and lengthy walk to the site. You will not find the site using any of the details in this video, I can promise you that !
