Thanks for doing this Head Unit video series. I had no idea how sophisticated these units have gotten over the years. I saw where you were going to add in a Satellite Radio receiver to make up for the lack of one on the new head unit and am a wee bit curious to see where you mount it. Really looking forward to rest of the install videos.
Is there enough room behind the A/C Control panel for a USB hub to be installed behind there? and then add a usb connector or Three in the blanks area right in front of the shifters?
Did you check out the Insane Audio system before you went with the Seicane? They both seem really similar but the Seicane obviously has a bigger screen size.
I looked at it, but it was almost 3x the price... Sometimes I like to experiment with budget versions to figure out what my actual requirements are... but it's hard to spend so much if I am just testing what I might like or not like.
Hey! I have a couple questions and I'm in the middle of trying to install this thing in my snow covered parking lot. I have everything put together, the unit powers on, but I have no audio for the radio. I was successful in pairing my phone, but when I tried to make a phone call I still have no audio. I am currently loading some test files onto a SD card to try and see if that works, but do you have any thoughts on what I am missing? Things that I have done up to this point: -ran the micro USB to UNCONNECT box (but did not disconnect other wires to UNCONNECT) -connected adapter to for GPS antenna -made all other connections except the amp connection that you made (I do not have an amp) One thing I did notice between my adapters and yours is my radio antenna adapter also has a green wire that comes out of it that yours did not. It is not labeled and I did not connect it to anything. Thanks to your videos, the uninstall and, up to this point, install, has only taken about an hour. Thanks for any help.
you need to check your remote wire which is blue make sure it connected to only the blue wire if you have it. if you have a blue/white wire color make sure you dont have the soild blue wire connected to that because if you do that will cause issues for you not to have audio.
Great videos - definitely a huge thank you! from me. I just received mine and your tips came in super helpful for my 2015 JKUR. Mine has the micro SD on the side so it seems they have added it for some at least. I grabbed the dash clips from the OE dash to reuse but seem to break them too easily- something to watch out for. Also, I do hear a bit of buzzing an have t-shooted to the radio antenna. Am thinking I might try a noise filter like this one: www.amazon.com/dp/B00525YZEA/_encoding=UTF8?coliid=I1GUD6OCG0RGTK&colid=2ZP5MOOSJEUH1 . Thanks again for all your great videos!

Perfect! Just what I was looking for, thanks!
Simple explanation and steps, planning to do mine with my new i209-wra, it should work without problem right? Thanks!
Extremely helpful. Thank you!!
Thanks man
What is the 10-pin gray connector with the large white sticker?
what about if I want to use the manufacture microphone with an after market radio?

You definitely could, especially if you remove that Uconnect box (that is useless with an aftermarket stereo anyway)...
Need some help please, any way you can do this with the Alpine i209-wra, I really want to keep the usb from center console..any advice.
