We actually just ordered 4 kg of mangoes from our cousin (they just harvested it), and she sent us 6 kg instead! We're totally swamped but not complaining one bit! 💛🤣
There are premium varieties from other provinces that have hardly any spots on the skins, but for the most part mangoes are very common. On the other hand, berries, plums and persimmons are the expensive ones here. Can't have it all 😅 Thanks for watching!
Yes of course! What we can't purchase without packaging, we clean and dry before recycling. We also compost at home! Hopefully there are more MRFs soon, even in the province, and strict waste and segregation laws in the Philippines.
That market seems nice. I would like to shop there. I'm from landlocked country. I can buy seafood in every supermarket, but it's almost always packaged in plastic :( I was happy to find shrimps in paper box.
For sure. Eating locally is best most of the time, but sometimes we also like variety and that means food that would have been packaged and imported. Let's do our best when and where we can 💕
Ripe mangoes are our favorite fruit! 🥭💛 What's yours? ☺️

I really admire how you shop responsibly by bringing your own bag and plastic container. Hope more shoppers will be inspired to do the same. 🥰
We hope so too! Let's do what we can and lead by example 💪

The food in the market is so fresh. I love mango. It’s very expensive in Korea. Happy grocery shopping. Thanks for sharing.
