I love both Beyoncé and Ryan Tedder, saw them both live too ☺️ Believe me when I say that these 2 artists are it! I respect people who sing live anyway, but when they sing abnormaly amazing! Is just the x factor pour moi 😄
He wrote it so he has every right to make that claim.
@TCt83067695 He wrote the two most radio played songs of all time. He deserves people to know that because information like that determines the size of his legacy. In fact, I think he's too modest about all of it.
But you're entirely incorrect to think that only the fans need to know because us fans love his music and he shouldn't flaunt it. If I designed the golden gate bridge, you better believe I'd bring it up if we drove by it --as should he. That way he has more fans. Common sense.
They need a preview team to coach them on which since to sing before a competition.. Good choices wrong choices.. makes a difference. Not everyone can sing every song.. Some singers just sound better singing other different songs.
i don't think he meant it in an egotistic way, i think he just wanted to explain to the contestant that he knew beyonce well cuz he worked with her

No one knows he wrote halo, bleeding love, battlefield and several others. He has no ego problem. You're just an irrational Beyonce fan that can't accept the fact that she doesn't write her own songs. Ryan Tedder is an amazing vocalist and writer, and if he wants to bring that up he deserves to.
@TCt83067695 that's so true, because no one asked him anything about which songs he wrote... but you need to realize if u are on a foreign show.. that's a hit in that country and millions people watch.. Of course you gonna take that chance to show how awesome u are and take the spotlight..

@TCt83067695 You brought forth no point other than how you feel he should act. This is life, man. Real life. And in his life he does a lot of worth that he doesn't get much credit for. And in his profession, getting credit for such works can make or break your career.
Now obviously his career isn't doing bad. But the point is that 20-30 years from now, the size of his legend depends on the amount of people who knew the works he did.

Doesn't make much sense to me. But I guess what you're trying to say is that saying I wrote Halo on Xfactor no less has catapulted his career. He now has more fans. He's now seen as a legend. 1republic album sales have skyrocketted.
He's not at an audition. No one asked him for his CV. Its not an interview. Didn't watch the demoralizing show but i guess he's supposed to be mentoring the young hopefuls. But instead he's huggin the spotlight. Drawing attention away from them. Simply uncool imo.

he does have ego problem. esp now. Prior fame post-myspace days & apologize, 1republic was full of humility. But now, he walks around very arrogantly. who cares how many people know he wrote them? What matters is the real people, like me true fans since day1, know he did. what matters is I know without him, the song won't have existed.
Even Beyonce has ego. But hers is much subtle. And seriously, who doesn't know Beyonce doesn't really write anymore & just claims to? Now who's irrational?

i like that he owns that he wrote Halo. that's right tedder don't let beyawnce try to take that from you anymore. you wrote that song, you arranged it, set the tone it should be sang in, and it's clear from the demo it was all you.
bey is decent singer but she lacks emotional output/depth. her tone is nice but nothing to write home about. all this combined is why i lose interest while she sings. i tune in but i quickly begin to lose interest and why i can never be a fan. that's why she puts so much effort into image and stage performance. she is covering up what she lacks, originality and emotional depth/soul.
But I and my friends see too much originality and emotional depth/soul in her. It varies from person to person and according to your music taste. Stop insulting and putting artists down. I request you to please delete this hatred comment. No offense to you !!
