    Here's another sample from a Late Beginner/Early Intermediate ProPractice tutorial based on one of my favorite pieces by Chopin. If a student loves Chopin but is still in the stages of late beginner/early intermediate repertoire, I will generally start them with this piece, as most of the pieces Chopin wrote were of a much more advanced nature. However, this little gem is a perfect starting point for students to not only learn about the style of a waltz, but also be introduced to voicing, nuance, and rubato. I hope you all have a great week of practicing!

    For this long arpeggio, I am doing completely different fingering, which I found more convenient. 1,2,1,2,3,1,2,3,4,5. In that case thumb-down travels much shorted distance of 2 notes and not 4.

    Hi Josh wright, I enjoyed this video and it improved me in many aspects. But I just have a quick doubt, is it okay if I follow any fingerings? Or am I supposed to follow only the indicated fingerings? I just asked this because I'm finding my own fingering more comfortable than the fingering given in the score of my book and ipad.

    • @wishyouwerehere1982
      @wishyouwerehere1982 3 года назад

      My instructor always advice me to play with our own comfortable fingering. But, in the Saturn part, like we need to play the same not more than 2 times, we better change the fingering. So, the sound much more good. But, I still not good in fingering anyway.
