That’s the brave boyo who faked a dog attack to lure a part-time UDR man who was the local dog warden into a murderous ambush. Unfortunately for this brave planner of murder, the dog warden wasn’t going down without a fight. When the four Provos bravely opened up on the dog warden in his van with automatic rifles and severely wounded him, when young Joe here bravely walked up to the dog warden’s van to finish him off, the dog warden managed to shoot young Joe with his issue personal protection weapon. Poor Joe died and the dog warden managed to hold the other brave, heavily armed three Provos off and they bravely ran away. The poor dog warden spent nine months in hospital and was awarded a medal. Such brave terrorists. Well done.

As you can see by the turnout at Joe's funeral, he was well thought out and his actions were deemed worthy of support.
In regards to the UDR, how many members also doubled as active Loyalists & used the information gathered whilst on duty as a UDR soldiers to then go & use that information to deadly effect? Or indeed pass that information onto other loyalists who would then go and do the killing. What brave soldiers they were indeed 😒

There was a video on you-tube for a long time with the Joe McManus commemoration song with slide show of pictures from his life, funeral and a commemoration in Belleek where we unveiled a monument, myself and Dad with help of others erected it and in that video there's pics of us - Hes sadly no longer with us and I used to have a watch of that video regularly but cant seem to find it at all on youtube any longer? Would love to get it again or the pictures
