But don't let them start any nests on your balcony, or they'll get nasty. (If you have to stop them building nests, WD40 will prevent them from trying again in the same spot.)
Yes they are yellowjackets. And they are as useful as bees when it comes to pollinate plants. And they kill the enemies of my plants to feed their larvas.

Yeah, I know, but I will keep on calling them "bees" to provoke ;). They are so peaceful on my balcony, and pollinate my chili so nicely.
