Nate, you connect the generations with your humor! I am 62 and love your comedy. Just found out yesterday 😮that my 26 y/o son watches you too! He has a sense of humor like yours.
The best routine....just the best. My dad was born during the civil war and my mom was the "let's open a window and turn on the shower, too" type (try-everything know-nothing-tech-optimist); my kids don't bother showing up half the time and I'm smack in the middle with Nate, checking the plug in the eleventh hour. 😂
@@ThaFlaSaltineBuckeye Nate said the first guy he talked to when he called the front desk was from the war, he guessed Civil War based on his knowledge of the tech problem, so I was referencing his joke....
1946 here. I could have fixed the Chromecast problem in 10 seconds. Except that I would have gotten distracted by the candy machine downstairs by the elevator and instead of getting in the elevator, I would have wound up driving to Walmart to buy the candy I decided I wanted that wasn't in the machine
This GenXer knows that if your Chromecast isn’t working, the first thing you do is…unplug it and plug it back in. GenX, while some of us created computers, some of don’t know where the power switch is. I’ve worked at a help desk enough to know, every generation has their technically inept.
I'm 45 yrs old,I used to play Oregon trail in school when I was pretty young, when Nate brought that up it brought back some cool memories,I was like oh alright, not just me and my classmates in California
Word.😂😂😂 I'm just gonna start using " My beep bop broke." Could be my heart, could be my phone, could be a power tool. You'll never know but you'll understand. 😂😂😂🤷
I'm 63 and feel like I got pushed into the 'boomer' camp by Gen Xers... when I clearly was not born because of the GI bill. All that to say, I feel intergenerational like Nate.
Fellow xennial here. This is what life is like for us. Sometimes I feel 30 iq points higher than everyone but just remind myself that I’m young enough to be able to use tech, spot BS or a scam etc, but old enough to not think everything is the billionaires or greedy companies doing.
My nephew has a peanut allergy and his boomer grandma acts like it's made up. She's constantly trying to get him to try peanuts because "maybe he'll learn to like them."
It's a sign of a coddled generation. It's not the kid's fault, but likely the fault of the greater community/generation of his parents. Peanut allergies were rare, until schools etc decided to be more accommodating for kids with allergies by banning peanuts. As a result of omitting them from the diet, significantly more kids developed allergies and intolerances than ever. So it's not the kid's fault, but he's part of the generation that has more peanut allergies than ever, because of the coddling of his parents' generation. (Also, diet has changed, and ingredients gotten worse, so we are now more intolerant to normal things like gluten and seed oils than in the past.)
Has a peanut allergy! (something no one ever had - imagine your childhood w/o P&B sandwiches!) The flurry of childhood vaccines, going from 3 to 79, beginning in 1986, must have caused this.
NO IT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH VACCINES Read about the “ Cleanliness Hypothesis.” a logical explanation for the increase in allergies that actually makes sense from a scientific standpoint. And is supportive of a less controlled and more adventurous child lifestyle that should appeal to you.
Remember when the definition of vaccine was that it made you immune to polio or whatever? Starting in 2021 the CDC changed the definition so now the criteria is, "it might help". Thanks Pfizer lobbyists!
This guy writes a Netflix special a year, tours constantly, runs a podcast, just launched his own production company, has a book he just wrote, and he seems to keep it focused on family. He’s seriously one of the hardest working guys right now.
Nope! As soon as guessed the millennial would know how to fix it I knew he was wrong. A lot of corporations keep a patent on their products so fixing them is not an option. So when you break a laptop you now have an expensive paperweight. It’s not like the radio. Everyone shared the technology for it and you could make a radio at home. Now we all carry a cell phone but you don’t know how it works and you can’t fix it.
The reason you can't fix it isn't only because of patents and corporate greed, though obviously that's part of it. Another huge reason you can't fix it is because technology now is far more complex and miniaturized than it was 75 years ago. It's important to remember the nuance when it comes to this stuff. With the right education, skill, and parts, these devices can in fact be fixed in many cases. It's just a lot harder now.

“He’s got a peanut allergy”. Made me laugh so hard, I could hear my dad saying something like that 😂
You fixed it yourself because "it was just unplugged" was so spot on for so many connection problems!
1980 here! Yup, analog childhood, digital adulthood
I love his matter of fact delivery.
Dude perfectly described my childhood. I also can't unsee his snl sketches every time he does standup now
his George Washington sketches kill me 😂 the chef show one was also hilarious
Nate, you are my favourite comedian!

Your dad was born during what civil war? Korea's?

Geezer and I may possibly be twins - separated at birth
This made me laugh. Cheers sir!
Thank you for your service.

Great fun Nate! You’re so cool. 😃

I've never heard of Oregon Trail (computer game) only THE Oregon Trail (history).........I think I might be old.......😮
I'm 45 yrs old,I used to play Oregon trail in school when I was pretty young, when Nate brought that up it brought back some cool memories,I was like oh alright, not just me and my classmates in California
As a "Geriatric Millenial" I really like "The Oregon Trail Generation"
We are so old yet so young
Word.😂😂😂

The real friends were the ones that died of dysentery along the way.
Always so funny!
I'm gen. Y as in Y bother. Yet I was raised on a farm so I usually heard "Y are you sitting on your ass, go feed the cows!"
I remember Oregon trail 😅
Xennial here and proud!
What the hell is a xennial?
@@WildBearFoot he explains Xennials in the video.
Good writer
Yep. He's a storyteller, I think to myself and then he comes up with this line, "He's the generation that still wants to give it a try."

Laugh tracks remind me of 80s sitcoms 😂
I taught through the years that my students played Oregon Trail in the computer lab.
He's got a peanut allergy 😂
Lol
Born in 1979 so Gen X

I heard Gen x all the time as a kid.
I love how he lists the peanut allergy like it's the kids fault.

It was a great routine.
So you are choosing between generations who are more susceptible to the job at hand?
What does that even mean..??
😂

Hope this was facetious

All millennials have a peanut allergy. 😂
He didn't come to work, that is so typical! Elders may not be as cute but we show up to the job when scheduled
So I take it only millennials in the history of man are the only ones who have never showed up to work.
🙄
Dan is poking fun at that boomer perception of younger people. Good job getting baited by it.
Hooked...line and sinker.😂

The fake laughs are so brutal.
