It was and personally it's better this way. Riders choosing to compete I think makes it a better race. Definitely puts a lot of prestige to a win. I do wish it was safer, fully understand the organisers do an epic job on what is a very dangerous circuit. The fact the riders choose to race is the only way it can happen.
