    Thank you Ntwanie for this information, I am starting with my articles in Feb 2020.

    A massive congratualtions to making it this far, and God give you all you need to make it through. I hope to be where you are soon to, doing my CTA this year, super anxious about it all, just because there is so much unknown, they say the transition is very difficult. What are the working hours like in 1st, 2nd and 3rd year of training? And what do you study when preparing for your APC? And do they give you breaks to study towards your APC? ALl the best!

    Hi Ntwanie, thank you so much for the informative videos and your insight . It's highly appreciated. 😊
    I wanted to find out 2 things from you:
    1. The comparison of salary you mentioned in your video, is this for a specific company or geographical location, or if it's the holistic market average?
    2. Can first years negotiate salaries, and how do you know which offer to accept on the table?
    Again, thank you so much for your time and effort, it is highly appreciated. 😊

    • @NtwanieNgomane
      @NtwanieNgomane  4 года назад +2

      So the salary is market related in JHB.
      At audit firms normally no, but if you're training out of public practice I think you can. You'll just need very strong reasons to base your negotiations seeing that you wouldn't have any experience

    Hey, I really love your content,very informative.
    In terms of industries (Financial services, Consumer Industries Market, etc), does the salary differ depending on the industry you audit? If so, what industry pays the most?

  • @mtikasoga3474

    Hey I know this is completely off topic but I wanted to know if you had some insight on this. I completed my BCOM Accounting Degree at UJ and I immediately began working but in the field of education. That was in 2019. Im still working now but I want to go back to studying towards a CA qualification but Im unsure of the route to take do you have any suggestions or insight? Would really appreciate it.

    • @NtwanieNgomane
      @NtwanieNgomane  4 года назад +1

      What do you mean route? From my understanding you already have a degree, all you need to enroll for is CTA

    • @mtikasoga3474
      @mtikasoga3474 4 года назад +1

      After getting a Bcom Accounting Degree. At UJ we would then have to do a BCTA (Bridging Certificate in Theory of Accounting) first and then do the CTA stream after. But if for example I do it via Unisa would it be CTA stream immediately or do I need to do PGDA in Accounting sciences first and then CTA(PGDA in Applied Accounting Sciences)

    • @NtwanieNgomane
      @NtwanieNgomane  4 года назад +2

      @@mtikasoga3474 I think at Unisa you'd have to do CTA1 and then CTA 2, I'm not familiar with the UJ naming of the courses but if your degree doesn't allow you to go straight to CTA, you'll have to do a bridging course either at uj or unisa.

    • @phakamanimathebula3095
      @phakamanimathebula3095 4 года назад

      @@mtikasoga3474 your UJ degree is not SAICA accredited, you will need to do advance diploma then CTA2

    • @phillipmabaso1609
      @phillipmabaso1609 4 года назад +2

      @Mtika I did my undergrad with UJ and my postgrad with UNISA. Based on my experience its better to do it via UNISA , if your degree is not SAICA accredited you will do level1 then level2.

    What is ITC? Is that another word for articles? And what is APC?. Please explain everything after CTA

    • @tshepisolithakong5859
      @tshepisolithakong5859 3 года назад +2

      ITC is an Initial Test of Competence, the first qualifying exam after CTA, then APC is Assessment of Professional Competence, the second qualifying exam.

    • @leratonzimande4142
      @leratonzimande4142 3 года назад +2

      In my opinion it is not equal to CA(SA), as much as it's a international board. I had taken the ACCA route but changed to SAICA because I realised how most companies don't recognize it. But that was a few years back.
