Good stuff, but I wouldn't advise you to disconnect the layout from the model.

@@LAJCADForum you have a good video but your speed is not good, you have to instruct not to show how you can do it by your self, remember when you teaching it means there is student they have to follow step by step, your speed is not good slow down

When you select the drawing while it on a layout, you can adjust the scale....from the task bar or you right click and change the scale

Why not first save the views from the view map because it plays a big role when it comes to making changes on the drawings. I disagree with this workflow because its not applicable on a big project you are liable to repetitive work.

Bro your vids are interesting but the sound is bad, you talk fast and demonstrate faster...

Why are you placing views from a worksheet? Thats the wrong workflow as you have lost the direct connection to the model elevations and any cross referencing

After detailing my 3D model.....I will cut all my elevations, section and place them onto the worksheets...this will make the file a little lighter as compared to when they are on the same page as the floor plans. That's how I work....and I have no issues with it

@@LAJCADForum of course you don’t. That doesn’t make it a correct workflow. By creating a worksheet (and i’m not sure how you get 4 elevations on the same worksheet) for the elevations you are adding a load of 2D line work and bloating the file. In addition any changes to the design require the worksheet to be updated and then updating the views on the layout rather than simply updating the views directly on the layout. Your process is not the designed workflow and actually makes the whole process slower from my experience.

What do you think would have been the correct way of doing it?

@@LAJCADForum Place the ELEVATIONS directly on the layout. Exactly the same way as you illustrate on the Worksheet. Using the worksheet as a way of grouping the elevations simply adds a disconnect from the model as you have to update the Worksheet and then update the layout.
